Phelps just had to swim two finals an hour apart; it takes a special, and incredibly well-conditioned, athlete to hold up over Phelps' workload. That's why you don't hear about a Spitz or Biondi or Phelps every four years. Comparing him to a shot putter, or any other athlete who can concentrate on a single event? I don't think it's applicable. Now, if you'd like to argue in favor of decathletes -- the decathalon record-holder has long been known as the "World's Greatest Athlete" -- I wouldn't disagree.

Yup, and it's not just the Browns. A couple of the Cavs, and even a former college player from the area (Mike Gansey, who played at St. Bonaventure before ending up at WVU) have recently dealt with MRSA. You've seen Beck play, right? I was seriously annoyed when CamCam spoiled our fun by benching him in the game up here. That was on its way to ranking among the top all-time QB meltdowns. So, a serious question: who's going to trade for him?

Not 70, but probably 45-50. Hardy -- who beat the coverage by a good five yards -- was definitely inside the 20 when he caught it.

They originally signed Murphy as a TE, where he did actually start a couple of games for Houston. The experiment at tackle was going to be a long-term project. He's probably more than 264 now -- that's his weight from last year's media guide -- but still not 300. And I'm no medical expert, but that project looks like it's on indefinite hold. Murphy stayed on the ground for several minutes before he was helped to his feet, then walked slowly and gingerly off the field holding his arm to keep the shoulder from moving.
