  1. Okay, folks, most of the schedules have been updated for the 2008 season, and I hope to receive the rest shortly. Thanks to Brad, Andy Roth, and John Hager for the information on their respective stations.
  2. Put your name on this list -- and this late, dropping Hammer a PM would probably be a good idea -- and he'll save a spot for you. Which one?
  3. Haven't decided. I'm sure I'll have the traditional five-pounder of Sahlen's, but I'm debating whether to make some wing dip or just drown a batch of chicken breasts in Chiavetta's and throw it on the grill. Guff, if you're doing wings, I might have my answer ...
  4. We'll just have to take over the bar again, then.
  5. The book itself is merely a 1970s-era trade paperback. The ink on the title page, and the memory of spending a few seconds with the Grand Master as he inscribed it, will be cherished forever. Hard to imagine that (Philcon 86) was over 20 years ago ...
  6. Lovecraft? Why does that not surprise me? (Kidding ... and I used to have a "Campus Crusade for Cthulhu" t-shirt in college.) I've got a few, mostly SF, although probably not anything approaching that price range. Of course, the signed/personalized copy of I, Robot isn't for sale at any price.
  7. We'll be south of you, same side of Abbott, first grass lot after Lot 2. If you've got some time to kill, stop by and say hi ...
  8. The Lions just got better, I think: Johnson expected to compete for starting RB job eventually. For a team renewing their emphasis on the running game, they didn't have much behind rookie Kevin Smith. Now, they do. And it's been nice knowing you, Tatum Bell ...
  9. Good point. And thanks for reawakening those painful memories ...
  10. [This is an automated response] This subject matter is being currently being discussed or has already been discussed in a previous thread. Please consider using the "search" function before starting new topics. Thank you.
  11. Haven't seen much talk about it. Anyone got any plans? The traditional get-together at Danny's? Someplace else? I'm not sure what time I'm getting in (covering a HS game that starts at 1:30 p.m.), so I'm figuring 6-6:30 at the absolute earliest ...
  12. Not I, Jack. I'll be more likely to be the last one left again, venturing over to say hi to the Pinto crew after Hammer's clears out.
  13. Spoken (typed?) by someone with vast experience on the subject. Are you actually going to show up at the tailgate this year? Amateur. Hammer's Lot opens at 6.
  14. I'll repeat what I said after they drafted McKelvin: If he (or anyone else) knocks Greer out of the starting lineup, they'll have to earn it. Greer won't give that spot up without a heck of a fight. And if that does come to pass, it can only mean good things for the Buffalo defense.
  15. Yeah, I'm assuming it shows up on a sign at the Ralph sometime soon. DetONaTE Tim, you'd better hurry up and trademark that ...
  16. Um, no. Bills D was 31st in total yards allowed, 25th in rush yards allowed, 29th in passing yards allowed, 18th in points allowed in 2007. Source: NFL Game Statistics & Information System.
  17. Tragedy, loss, success help Whitner mature on, off field Good read from new TBD fave Tim Graham ...
  18. Crayonz: Reeling them in since 2005 ... 26 sacks allowed in 2007, the fewest by the Bills in a 16-game season since 1981 ...
  19. Not on the roster opening weekend = 2008 salary not guaranteed. What are the odds he's back in Foxborough before the end of September?
  20. Ooh, this sounds like fun. What can we find for drunk twist_to_open to buy?
  21. That is ... interesting, isn't it? And I've been one of McNally's steadfast defenders. As you say, we'll see what it looks like in the regular season, and (hopefully) with 71 back in the lineup at some point.
  22. To absent friends: Our condolences, BB.
  23. Thankee. Biggest change: Schonert for Fairchild, something that he completely fails to mention. Ah well ...
  24. I agree that whoever thinks the Bills had "an already stellar defensive unit" probably needs a drug screen, but ... link?
  25. The very first TBD home-opener tailgate was a Sunday night game on Labor Day weekend. That was the absolute perfect schedule for us -- eat-drink-and-be-merry all day long before heading into the stadium, and most of us had Monday off. Perfect.
