Haven't talked to him too much about the Bills lately -- most of our limited correspondence has been about the schools we both cover -- but in general, I think Mr. Pollock has a low tolerance for dumb decisions. He's been hammering this one pretty hard. The column this quote is from ran a couple of weeks ago, but didn't make it on their Web site:

We assumed it was going to be Southwestern (20), but when the announcement was made, they said 20A (Big Tree). Don't remember seeing any signage on the way into the Detroit game, though. If you venture out our way, Danny's is normally pretty full the night before the opener. (Thanks in not-so-small-a-part to us.) Don't know how rowdy it'll be ... can't ever remember a Bulls game being on TV before. You're more than welcome to join us, though. Or, if you want SUPER-rowdy, why not find something close to campus?

Did you watch him try (and fail) to get away from the Gints' pass rush on that bad foot in the Super Bowl? If he's playing -- but not as mobile as he normally is, which isn't much to begin with -- it could be a HUGE deal. Like, Fucillo-sized.

Rarely happens. 6:30am - Actual time of departure, grill/cooler/tent/table/chairs/food safely stowed. 7:00am - Watch sunrise as I drive through Olean. 8:03am - Turn into Lot 1. Wave to Philster, who's always parked along the driveway. 8:05am - Snag two beers out of the cooler, walk over to the Pinto, give one to Kenny. 8:06am-12:30pm - Eat, drink, and be merry. 1:00pm-4:00pm - Watch football game. Go Bills. 4:00pm-8:00pm (approximate) - see 8:06am-12:30pm entry. 8:00pm-10:00pm - Drive home. 10:01pm - Sleep.
