  1. Not sure who's covering it from Buffalo. Graham's already "in the land of Disney," but I think both Mark Gaughan and Allen Wilson are working hoops at HSBC today. Maybe one of them will fly down later tonight?
  2. Interesting. Considering that during his time in Buffalo, JD played for several head coaches and made it to exactly one playoff game, what does that quote say about Joe Ferguson?
  3. Led the league in sacks both years, threw more INTs than TDs both years (but only hit 20 TDs once, for the record), fumbled 28 times, and went a combined 10-22. But hey, at least it wasn't boring.
  4. Must be that career 152-151 TD-INT ratio, or the 46-69 record (0-1 playoffs) as a starter. http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/K/KitnJo00.htm But he only turns 38 this season, which probably makes him a better option than Garcia ...
  5. Really. How are hunters supposed to "look"? Did you know that most of the Super Bowl-era Bills hunted, even if they didn't "look" like Jim Kelly's next-door neighbors from rural East Brady? Bruce Smith included memories of hunting and fishing with his father in his Hall of Fame speech. My advice? Stop digging before the hole gets any deeper.
  6. Hahahahahaha. ONIONS!!!!! And I had Kansas winning it all.
  7. Don't want George here. He'd bring Jason Whitlock with him, to write about how he should be the starter ...

  9. Per http://twitter.com/Cardschatter -- the official Arizona Cardinals Twitter account:
  10. Wasn't me, but the screen name does fit the question...
  11. But if it's a radio or TV report, a link isn't always an option. Best bet is, if nobody else is reporting the same story several hours later (as the OP discovered when trying to confirm it), proceed with caution. I think we'll let Ed have the final say. After I contacted him, he posted this message on his Facebook account:
  12. Somewhere in my genealogy/local history collection, there's a book containing a report of a wild bison stampede that killed a mother and child in the early 1800s. The location? What is now Smethport, Pa., roughly two hours due south of Buffalo (and eight miles west of me).
  13. Hey, it's Getzville. Lord only knows what goes on out there. And since this seems to be a case of an honest mistake instead of someone trying to mess with us, I agree.
  14. So, wait. Kuharsky had to show up for work yesterday while watching his beloved 'Dores get bounced from the tourney, but you've got today off? You know he's going to whine about that.
  15. As Mr. Graham mentioned above, Kilgore noted that Tim Tebow will be here on Monday.
  16. Just heard back from Kilgore, who is not amused. Don't know what or who you heard, Maddog, but it wasn't Ed talking about Porter.
  17. We already have, several times. Let's wait for confirmation on this one, though -- with the NCAAs in town, they're kind of busy, so I can see how it might not have made their Web site. And I know most of us were watching hoops instead of the news ...
  18. When I saw the news the other night, I thought, I know what song Wawrow will be listening to ...
  19. Was Kilgore even on last night? Far as I know, he's in Mizzou-fanboy mode down at HSBC. (Just kidding, Ed.) Nothing on his Facebook about Porter, but I'll check further ...
  20. Two. 2-for-17 for 23 yards. Those numbers are seared into my brain, the only memorable thing about an eminently forgettable game. When Roscoe botched that punt, I silently thanked him for keeping the game from going into overtime ...
  21. Thanks for the input. You know, if you started your own board, you could ban whatever you wanted to. Think we'll keep this one the way it is, though.
  22. College newspapers. Amusing, then, that two Mizzou J-school alumni -- Sully and Ed Kilgore -- chose to put down their roots in Buffalo. What were they thinking?
