  2. I normally like Cole's work, but this one's just a touch over the top. Really? Adversity, yes. But suffering? Kevin Everett understands real suffering. The Jaguars' Richard Collier understands real suffering. Dropping down the draft board? Playing for a losing football team? That doesn't qualify.
  3. Wilson, still on the mend from an Achilles tendon tear, was inactive last week with a balky hamstring. Aaron Francisco replaced him in the starting lineup. Think Favre noticed the difference?
  4. Fixed. Look at this picture and tell me he isn't already running the team from the other side.
  5. Update from today's injury report: Buffalo has only Derek Fine and Roscoe Parrish listed as out. (And we already knew both wouldn't play this week.) Everybody else (McGee, Schobel, and Stroud) is merely listed as "did not practice." Arizona lists nobody as out, even though we know Bertrand Berry will miss the game with a torn groin muscle. Here's their full list: DID NOT PARTICIPATE IN PRACTICE Wednesday DE Bert Berry (groin), WR Anquan Boldin (head), TE Jerame Tuman (hamstring), S Adrian Wilson (hamstring) LIMITED PARTICIPATION IN PRACTICE Wednesday DT Darnell Dockett (hamstring), TE Leonard Pope (ankle) FULL PARTICIPATION IN PRACTICE Wednesday - DT Gabe Watson (knee)
  6. FYI -- Cards are 7-2 in their new building. (Yes, you'll be seeing that stat again soon.)
  7. Already been answered. Roof is closed for all September/October daytime games.
  8. Your first mistake would be to believe Davis isn't lying every time his lips move ... And the winner of the "next Raiders HC to be fired" lottery is ... Tom Cable ? Really?
  9. Yeah, you might be right. Besides, this pool looks fished out.
  10. Well, we do know that at least one person from ESPN reads the board. Amusingly, one of the local papers ran the exact same "Costly win ..." hed in today's edition. (Well, other than calling them by their given name. And no, I'm not suggesting they borrowed it -- it was an obvious choice.) Edit: both locals used that headline.
  11. Pretty sure it's the one on 95th. The address should be in one of the threads Jay linked to ...
  12. Good stuff, Ken. You keep writing them, I'll keep reading.
  13. If you're talking about GoldenWheels, yes, she is. Stop by the Harp next Sunday and say hi.
  14. Yeah, but I like the word. Besides, as bad as that O-line was with Simmons, can you imagine what they're going to look like without him?
  15. Go with 61, Dave. As KRC noted, that's the number next to his name on the Wall of Fame.
  16. From Tomlin's postgame PC: Rashad Mendenhall (shoulder fracture) and Kendall Simmons (Achilles) will be placed on I.R. Talk about Pyrrhic victories ...
  17. Maybe so, but I still can't say I'm a big fan of "I hope he's done for the year" talk.
  18. They did that for a while yesterday, but with Bryan Scott coming in at S instead of Wilson.

  20. Yeah, Whitner played some nickel after McGee went out. Jackson didn't look so bad on punts yesterday. As long as this isn't a long-term thing (and it doesn't sound like it) ...
  21. Yeah. Boldin might be out, but they still have Fitzgerald. And Woody Hills' finest, Steve Breaston, is making some plays for them, too.
