  1. Culpepper had a magnificent season in 2004. And then Moss left for Oakland. Since then, Culpepper has blown out a knee, and thrown a total of 20 TD passes versus 32 interceptions.
  2. Bledsoe's career QB rating: 77.1. Culpepper's 2005-2009 (post-Moss) QB rating: 71.7.
  3. I hope nobody thinks I'm trying to denigrate foreign doctors; I was merely pointing out that in some areas of the country (including mine), they already play a significant role in the health care system. My first cardiologist was Pakistani, and he was probably the best doctor I've ever seen. In fact, I wish he hadn't retired from his practice -- think he's teaching at Strong Memorial now.
  4. I hereby reserve the right to taunt the crap out of anyone who shows up in Lot 1 this fall wearing one of those shirts.
  5. No, it's you differing with what you THINK is his opinion, even though he's given absolutely no reason to infer as much. And if he hadn't posted that story, I would have.
  6. Really? I sort of assumed that he posted it because he thought people might be interested in reading it. Silly me.
  7. If you're going to parrot someone else's opinions, could you at least give us a link? Thanks. http://thesportscourier.com/content/nfl-fr...y-1-rapid-recap
  8. OT rules were already different between regular season and playoffs, though. Obviously, no ties in the playoffs ...
  9. Hahaha. First thing I thought of, too. Maybe the Bills should have abstained? Add: upon further review, it wasn't even Ralph's call -- according to Tim, GAILEY made the decision. http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...te-on-ot-change
  10. I'm thinking there were two different interviews, and Tim's quotes are from the one Nix did with the "print" media earlier yesterday.
  11. To follow up on my previous post, I give you Culpepper's post-Moss stats, which include the seven games he played before the knee injury in 2005: 27 starts, 477-808, 5,555 yards, 20 TD, 39 turnovers (32 INT, 7 FL), 71.67 passer rating. To compare: Trent Edwards: 23 starts, 506-826, 5,498 yds, 24 TD, 30 TO (25 INT, 5 FL), 77.9 rating. Ryan Fitzpatrick: 23 starts, 424-734, 4,104 yds, 21 TD, 35 TO (27 INT, 8 FL), 67.7 rating. J.P. Losman: 33 starts, 558-942, 6,211 yds, 33 TD, 51 TO (34 INT, 17 FL), 75.6 rating. I'm not sure which is more frightening -- the stats of the current/recent Bills QBs, or the thought of bringing in Culpepper as an "upgrade."
  12. This. Culpepper says he can be "the guy," when he hasn't been "the guy" since Moss left Minnesota.

  14. Releasing a player isn't quite the same order of magnitude as firing a head coach ... unless you're really mad at them, anyway. A few years back, after whacking Bobby Shaw with some malice, they 'Shopped Santa Claus into his place in the photo on the Christmas cards. I'd have to look up Tim's story to be sure, but I think he did give the team an opportunity to comment on it. Ah, here it is. (Hint: search "Trotsky" on his blog, and this post comes right up): http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast/post/_/id/...-team-photoshop Indeed he did: "The Bills declined to comment on the photo. "If only Bills fans could wipe Jauron from their brains as easily as he was removed from the picture."
  15. In all seriousness, we already do, don't we? And I hear y'all on the non-docs, Doc. When I first went in for my knee a couple of months ago, X-rays came back negative and the NP suggested a cortisone shot so I could return to work. Um, no, how about we find out what the hell's wrong with it first? The MRI confirmed a sprained LCL, and I've been in a brace ever since.
  16. Great athlete, and seemed like a nice kid when I met him at Big 30 Press Day last year. (He ended up not being able to play in the game due to injury, a huge loss for the N.Y. team. He was a WR, and I'm not sure anyone on the Pennsy D could have covered him.) Probably could have gone D-I in track, but I'd heard he didn't have the grades ... OTH story: http://www.oleantimesherald.com/articles/2...60635373685.txt (Aside -- dual byline, but to me, reads like Sager's "voice.") Scuttlebutt on the Bandwagon has the JCC kids showing up outside the SBU players' on-campus residence. I'll be up there for the women's NIT game this evening; should be ... interesting.
  17. If you have 15 people in your household, sure. Duplicate questions for each person. And compared to previous versions -- the late 1800s/early 1900s ones are treasure troves of info for genealogists -- this one is practically useless for anything other than a headcount.
  18. You didn't know? Dammit. If I'd thought for a second that you hadn't heard ...
  19. Sitting there in the second half, playing with the CrackBerry because the game was so mindbendingly boring, I read a tweet by Nick Mendola that said it would be cool for the game to end in a tie. Immediately replied, "Are you insane? That means sitting through 15 more minutes of this!"
  20. Wasn't aware DeLamielleure ever claimed to be either a journalist or an entertainer.
  21. If it's all about the QB, as JD seemed to suggest, then my inference should be obvious. (In other words, I disagree with him.)
