  1. Wouldn't bet against it. Short trip, RCW lives there, etc.
  2. This per the Patriots, who posted it on their official Twitter feed. I know some of you were waiting for that to come out ... Probably have to wait another week or two for the regular-season schedule, though. Edit: opponents listed below. Although exact dates/times weren't released, I expect the Detroit game to be on Thursday, Sept. 2.
  3. So, now that we've clearly established that this thread is mistitled, and that Mr. Wawrow spent the day working instead of playing Solitaire on his computer, let's move on. The Wood story: http://www.sportingnews.com/nfl/article/20...training-camp-0
  4. Eh. You asked a legitimate question, even if the way you presented it made me a little grumpy. (Apologies for the snarl). And a few people learned how The AP functions, the difference between a newsflash and a writethrough, and John's schedule for today.
  5. Just a misunderstanding on the flash/writethrough idea.
  6. While other interviews and press conferences were going on?
  7. Enough on both the political debate -- we've got an entire board for that -- and the personal attacks.
  8. Bet you can. Steelers, Packers immediately come to mind. http://www.steeleraddicts.com/steelersbars.shtml http://www.jsonline.com/sports/packers/50404492.html
  9. I'm genuinely curious: how long does it take you to transcribe 10 minutes of audio?
  10. Lynch isn't there. Maiorana and Mendola both say Wood is looking good, with Nick adding that 70 plans on being ready by training camp. One other note: Time to get serious about strength and conditioning -- they've taken the TVs out of the weight room. Message is, you're there to work. Adding a note from our favorite team Twitterer:
  11. He was replying to some Boston chick who called him an (expletive deleted), so I'll take his side on that one.
  12. Impossible Mission. Yesssssss. (And it took hours -- days -- weeks before I finally finished it.)
  13. Hahahahahahaaaaaa. For your viewing pleasure, here's New England's reaction to Thurman Thomas deciding to have a little fun with Twitter. The setup: "Tim Tebow having dinner with Tom Brady tomorrow in Boston.... Stay Tuned" The fallout: http://twitter.com/#search?q=%40thurmanthomas From one Boston TV guy: "I'm reminded of why I HATED those Bills teams "
  14. Repeating: the guy asking the question was the one who mentioned the Bills, not Mortensen.
  15. That's nice. And it relates to Chris Mortensen's Twitter account ... how, exactly?
  16. To answer the original question before I move this to PPP... The guy asking the question was the one who lumped the Bills in with the Bucs and Bengals, not Mortensen. His tweet was in response to this one: RT @ELDRAGONE: @mortreport u really think raiders can win with mcnabb > Yes. I really believe NFL is better when Raiders are good. You can direct your nasty e-mails and tweets to http://twitter.com/bwdoherty. As for the "tradition and national fan base," he's absolutely correct. For decades, the Raiders have been right up there with the Cowboys, Packers, and Steelers as the teams with the biggest bandwagons. How many Raiders fans do we see when they play at the Ralph, most with no connection to Oakland? I know, because I used to be one of them. Yeah, that's right -- I owned a Stabler jersey when I was in junior high, and there's still a moldering Los Angeles Raiders ballcap around here somewhere. Loved the outlaw attitude. Conversely, when I meet Bills fans at a road game, the vast majority are either transplanted from WNY or still live there.
  17. We did the opposite route on our epic Family Vacation. (Substituted a Merc station wagon for the Truckster, and didn't take the dog or Aunt Edna, but other parts of that movie seem eerily familiar. But I digress.) Gateway Arch, Texas panhandle, Grand Canyon, etc. on the way out, then north to Yellowstone. There's a place called Jenny Lake about 30 miles south of Jackson Hole that I could have stayed at forever. Guess the movie stars and other rich-and-famous have taken that area over since then, though. Got chased through Cheyenne by a tornado; shortly after that, Mom (who was driving at the time) decided she'd had enough fun cooped up in a car with three kids, so we did 700+ miles in one day to get home.
  18. Awwww, don't cry. Here: Great! Greater! Greatest column, ever! Enjoy. As I posted when I linked this on Facebook, I don't know if Jeff is the greatest! columnist! ever!, but I think he's pretty darn good.
  19. Not sure I'd want former $nyder henchman Vinny Cerrato as one of my character witnesses. Just sayin'.
  20. FWIW, you can find the beginning of the "Tebow's Dinner With Kelly" thread here: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/index.php?...t&p=1803961
  21. If you look back a couple of pages in this thread, you'll find that I posted the same link last night. Schefter picked up on Jill Kelly's tweet, which merely confirmed a sighting posted here. And now, Patti Thomas and Jill are going off about all the various stories popping up. The hilarity continues ...
  22. Yay! Buffalo TV has caught up to the story! "Sources" presumably being the story on ESPN.com ...
