  1. PG didn't go anywhere. He just changed names again. Look around; he's not hard to spot. And yes, I said he. FYI, "Pyrite Gal" was a takeoff on the "Golden Boys" nickname which saw heavy use when Ralph brought Marv back as GM.
  2. What other priority? Umm, the annual league meetings start Sunday and run through most of next week in Dana Point, Ca.
  3. Different stopwatches, maybe, although the final link in that list says 4.78. FWIW, NFLDraftScout is the site used by PFWA members, and supplies the official draft bios to the NFL media site. And Sports Illustrated reported 4.75 ... http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/foot...ders/index.html
  4. Maybin's 40 at the combine was 4.78. NFLDraftScout.com Direct quote from the trainer, and Flounders has been covering Maybin since he got to PSU.
  5. FWIW, here's the story those pictures are from. (I read it in the print edition yesterday ...) Maybin's makeover PSU star transforms body to prepare for NFL scouts
  6. True dat. If he hadn't been "coached," then Scott Berchtold isn't doing his job. And despite the chaos that surrounds him at times, Scott's pretty good at his job.
  7. Is not good news. Allegedly taken off life support this afternoon. A friend has some medical info ... http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art...rticlekey=98613
  8. From Tim: Lynch claims he gets the message this time About time. And more than a few people here defended the way he played out that first incident. Nice to see he's figured it out, anyway...
  9. Correct. Remember the year Hargrove missed the first four games? That suspension was handed down on August 11, but didn't begin until the week of the first regular-season game.
  10. Moderating privileges do not extend to the front page of TBD. I can thumbtack my previews and such on there by using the "top story" tag in our software, but the news feed is entirely in the hands of the Bills Beat crew. (And based on the number of times I tried -- and failed -- to get said previews posted out front before the redesign, I'm assuming my thoughts don't hold much weight with them.) Along the lines of what you're suggesting, maybe the fan-site stories could be set up in their own section, like the opposing team's hometown media is during game weeks? Might be worth considering ... but again, I'm out of the loop on that. Although his affiliation with the team has to raise the question of just how objective he's allowed to be in his reporting, Brown is still a professional journalist. I believe Tim Graham's official title is "blogger," too ...
  11. Don't bother, because we have no say over what gets posted up front. Other than that ... no comment.
  12. Bonkos? Collective hyperventilation? Really? Heck, for all we know, maybe Cook was in town to head over to the Sundowner with E-Mo.
  13. I'm no expert on the California penal code, but I believe that all three charges carry the same penalty. For all we know, they could have picked one at random ...
  14. He pleaded on the concealed weapon (Count 1). http://da.co.la.ca.us/mr/030509b.htm
  15. Actually, if you were here on the Wall that Saturday, you may have known before you got that text ...

  17. Well, if the defense isn't good enough to force a punt ...
  18. Absolutely, I DO discount a QB rating system that ranks Rob Johnson (85.5 in Buffalo) ahead of Jim Kelly (84.4) on the franchise career leaderboard.
  19. Anyone got a question for Tim? Otherwise, there are already several Cutler threads floating around on the board ...
