  1. Either way, it's not zero ... but I personally think the number would be lower with Peters in that LT spot than with a yet-to-be-determined replacement. Guess we might be about to find out.
  2. By the way, here's the link to the Paolantonio/Clayton story: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4077093
  3. You aren't the only one. I know you're a wagering man, Gordio. If this deal goes through, what's the over/under on the number of games Edwards misses due to injury this season?
  4. Bills. Toronto. (flinching) Yup, you're right. Can't find anything else to disagree with there, either.
  5. Wellllll now. I was just about to ask you if there was a 3 p.m. chat today, but it looks like you're otherwise occupied. Thanks for the update ...
  6. Does it stand to reason that some Bills season-ticket holders in Buffalo might disagree with that opinion? Think I'm already on record as saying the team is gone as soon as Ralph's will is probated, although I obviously hope that doesn't happen for a long time. In fact, I have severe doubts they stay once the current lease expires. Not sure how that equals "denying reality" in your book.
  7. Read the thread -- or better yet, do a little research on the religion -- and you'll learn why that's not an option. That looks like the most reasonable solution for the one 4:05 game -- that early in the season, a 1:00 start should give most people a chance to get home before sundown. (The ones with longer commutes would still be hosed, though.) The only problem there lies with the rules about the Giants and Jets playing at the same time. Either let that go just this once, or flip the Giants' road game into the 4:00 slot. The other one, there's no getting around.
  8. Just curious -- where did you say you lived, again?
  9. John, you're correct that nothing concrete has changed since you wrote the story you're citing. However, I think the Bills in Toronto group's recent actions (the survey, Lind's continued comments, etc.), combined with the Bills' non-denial about the possibility of re-opening the current deal and the county's seeming acquiescence, lead many Bills fans to theorize that those plans might already secretly be in motion. In December, it was, "Oh, that's nice, he wants more games. He can get stuffed." Now, it's, "Hey, this might actually happen. To the barricades!" True, all a matter of perception ... but you're well aware that "fan" is short for "fanatic," and there's nothing like a good conspiracy theory. Just one fan's opinion.
  10. Only if they were to tender him at the first-round level. Think that's right around $2 million this year. Checking ... yup, $2.198 million.
  11. Let's hope they start doing that sometime soon, then.
  12. Looking at the Stadium Guide ... -They claim the lot opens at 8 a.m. the day before the game. -Out by 2 p.m. the day after the game. -No power. -Pets must be leashed. For a better idea, you might want to read this: http://nflstadiumquestions.blogspot.com/20...g-at-ralph.html
  13. You are, per Mark Gaughan's latest story. RFA after this season:
  14. But wouldn't the same thing hold true for an away game? Bills have played home games on those holidays before, and I know people from TSW have had to miss them because of that. I still don't remember any formal complaints being filed, though -- it was more like grumbling, "sucks that I can't go to the game because it's on Yom Kippur," and they moved on.
  15. That would assume Donahoe ever takes another GM job, wouldn't it?
  16. Which means RichRod is starting to get desperate, IMO. But if you actually read the story on ESPN, nothing's official yet: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=4073430
  17. Quality work ... but yeah, you might want to tag that with a NSFW. Or suggest headphones.
  18. Does The Dean's name appear anywhere on our moderating team? No? All righty then. Although, truth be told, I don't find much else to disagree with in that post other than the "Bills-related" statement regarding the main board. And I repeat: Threads created on this board solely to call out other posters -- as that one was -- will continue to be dealt with appropriately.
  19. Niiice ... but I wouldn't know where to begin. You do know that Tim was still in college (and nowhere near Buffalo) when that happened all those years ago, right? Just checking.
  20. It's not pasted from any major site -- too many copy-editing issues. Please don't take that as a slam, Romeo, because it wasn't meant as one. Assuming these are your own thoughts, I'll agree with Ray that it's an interesting read. Disagree about Manning lasting another 10 years, though. I don't trust that knee.
  21. I should probably note here that some other faiths do not have the option of rescheduling their obligations for convenience. That said, I forget: did Sandy Koufax whine to the commissioner when the World Series conflicted with Yom Kippur, or did he merely choose to observe the holiday instead of pitching for the Dodgers that day? Sorry for the inconvenience, Jets fans. You can commiserate with the Titans fans who have to decide whether or not to go to their game on Christmas Day.
  22. No, it wasn't. If anyone tells you differently, "they" have bad information. Regards, the management Edit: I will add that we do prefer to restrict this board to NFL-related discussion. Thus, Sabres/local college and prep stuff moves to Off The Wall. And posts created on this board solely to attack other posters will continue to be dealt with appropriately.
