  1. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-7-89/...-in-Philly.html Let that thought sink in for a while ... and then realize that he was never, ever going to get that deal in Buffalo. The days of giving Jim Kelly or Bruce Smith or Ted Washington the "highest-paid" title are long gone.
  2. $25 million guaranteed? Nice work if you can get it ...
  3. Sorry, Steve. I'll remember that next time.
  4. Interestingly, upon searching The News' Web site, I couldn't find anything to match this report.
  5. Make that 3-for-11. Either that, or we're just being wiseasses.
  6. Not according to Michael David Smith's story on AOL: http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2007/12/26/bears-d...roscoe-parrish/
  7. Since it's a BLOG!!, I assume Freeman wrote his own hed.
  8. Other than changing the date, there's no way around that one, and they apparently can't do that because of construction/parking issues at the Meadowswamp.
  9. Updated, per Tim Graham's blog: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-7-86/...ewish-fans.html A sensible decision.
  10. That's what I'm afraid of. Thanks for the clarification, as well as the breaking-news service.
  11. link Yeah, because teams place such a premium on right tackles ... God, I hope he's wrong. Use that pick on a guy who might be able to handle the left side after some work, okay, but not on someone who projects as an RT.
  12. He used to cover the NFL for The New York Times, and wrote Bloody Sundays. For what it's worth, I believe he's also the guy who emulated George O'Leary on his resume when he applied for a columnist's gig in Indy, claiming a college degree he didn't have. Bad mistake. Guess he recovered okay if he's writing for CBS, though.
  13. Keith Ellison, John Wendling, and Xavier Omon were all sixth-round picks, I'll have you know. Oh, wait ...
  14. I'll wait to see who they draft at No. 28 before I decide whether I like this deal, but I agree with the people who think the Bills were essentially forced to get rid of him.
  15. My gym class used volleyballs, and we called it 'slaughterball' instead of dodgeball. Built character. Guessing they've probably at least changed the name since then ...
  16. If Philly takes him at 21 -- which may well happen -- it'll be time to batten down the hatches here at TSW.
  17. The view from the other side, courtesy of ESPN NFC East blogger Matt Mosley:
  18. The link: http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast And this should tell us all we need to know about the relationship between Peters and the Bills:
  19. Peters started the last five games of that 5-1 stretch. The Bills' record in games he missed the last two seasons, including his first-half injury against the Giants: 2-3. 2007: Giants 38, Bills 21; Eagles 17, Bills 9. 2008: Bills 34, Seahawks 10; Bills 30, Broncos 23; Pats 13, Bills 0.
  20. Agreed, ~NG~. Endzone, that's the post of the thread. Now if you want to discuss "Jetsfanophobia," on the other hand ... let's just say I'm not disappointed that they're the ones headed to Toronto this year.
