  1. T.O.'s not a convicted felon. Not sure how many more times I need to repeat that. "The whole world" is yet another overstatement. And King's merely speculating:
  2. To follow up on Little -- a good column from a good guy: On the Mark: Vick needs us to find new cause
  3. True, but Brandon was still in the marketing department when all those moves were made. He's on the hook for the last couple of drafts and the T.O. and Peters deals, that's about it.
  4. I'm not so sure. You really think Ralph gets rid of wonderboy Brandon this soon?
  5. http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/30832386 And guess who's the first team mentioned?
  6. http://www.profootballhof.com/hall/Countdown_to_Canton.jsp There's also a poll on the HOF's home page asking who should be the next Bills enshrinee: Hull, Reed, Sestak, Smerlas, or Tasker.
  7. Never can tell. I do think he's including himself among the "you" in this excerpt, though. For him, that's pretty close to writing "I messed up":
  8. Second-best DE in Bills history? Ron McDole might have something to say about that. That duly noted, Sully's dead on: some of the people who were so eager to slap the "overrated" tag on No. 94 might hesitate to do that again, now that they've seen what the pass rush looked like without him.
  9. Actually, I think he's merely citing the rule to show that he can't use the asterisk ... (The preceding was a public service announcement, meant to hopefully forestall thousands of irate Pats* fans from arriving at Graham's front door with buckets of tar and bags of feathers.)
  10. Did the League's own application link to the news about Terry Bradshaw dying in a car accident? I will admit that Florio has gotten better about reporting news instead of making it up. But I have a long memory, and the Bradshaw thing was far from the only time that he tossed some unconfirmed rumor against the wall to see if it would stick. And to let you know precisely where I'm coming from on that, I was about half a second away from deleting the thread about Linda Bogdan's death -- even though I trusted the guy who posted it, and he gave me what appeared to be valid proof -- right up until I got the call that it had been confirmed through the front office.
  11. [This is an automated response] This subject matter is being currently being discussed or has already been discussed in a previous thread. Please consider using the "search" function before starting new topics. Thank you.
  12. FWIW, Chris addressed this over on the bb.com board, saying that Hargrove "told me himself he just has fun with it" and knew he was speaking on the record. He did edit the blog post. The original: The rewrite:
  13. I think this reply to Florio's post sums it up perfectly: "Now you’re clearly in 'throw crap against the wall' mode." So you're not onboard with Florio's and Bayless' random, fact-free speculation? That's probably a GOOD thing ...
  14. Nice. (Might want to proof that again, though.)
  15. Not in 2007, they weren't. Last year was the first Bills game of the four in Jacksonville to be televised in the home team's market. And arguing that Jacksonville is a great football market, just not for the Jaguars, actually proves our point: the team is doomed to play perennial second fiddle to the Gators. That's why nobody ever put a team in Columbus -- the largest city in Ohio, IIRC -- and why L.A. doesn't really care if it gets another one. From last September: half empty Jags stadium?
  16. Only surprised to learn that he wasn't still behind bars following the trafficking conviction. Sad story. What a meathead.
  17. Fair enough. I stand by my Ogden-bashing, though. They fired an SE I knew at one of their Ohio papers last November; since then, he's been stringing, trying to make ends meet -- and not getting some medical issues checked out, because he had no health insurance. He died Sunday. 36 years old. So yeah, ^$ the beancounters at Ogden (and most other places, too).
  18. So are we. So's everybody. I still have someone to proof my stuff, though -- in fact, my desk saved my butt on a piece I filed this morning, changing a date I had wrong. That's at a weekly one-fifth the size of the Observer. Then again, they are an Ogden newspaper ... and yeah, I think I'd better stop there before I melt down TSW's profanity filter.
  19. Trying to agitate ...? Man, I thought that was a GREAT lead-in. Beats the crap out of the standard, How did practice go today, How does your foot feel, or What do you think about TO?
  20. Nice rant. Guy could use a good copy editor. That's all I've got.
  21. I believe the Bills count their premium seating toward the attendance total, and the Jaguars do not. (And I know for a fact that the Jags' blackout threshold doesn't include the club seats which take up most of the lower bowl.) You know what, though? That percentage on the ESPN link is wrong. With listed stadium capacity at 73,967, averaging 71,405 would put the Bills at 96.5 percent.
