  1. Hey, long time no see. Hope all is well as the countdown continues ... Also, for those of you who can't wait for 5 p.m., Tim is hosting a chat about the All-Decade Team right now: http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/chat/_/id/...gger-tim-graham
  2. Eh, it's the offseason. I'll start a new one for training camp, but in the meantime, hijacking that thread is probably doing him a favor. (Consider the alternative: "Hey Tim, what's the latest about Brian Waters?") For the true oldtimers here, the thread about the thermodynamics of microwaving soup, and the one about spherical one-legged geckos, were both fun ... Buckeye, the arsonist reference was some of Hogboy's work.
  3. Nice catch, but I was thinking more along the lines of the first two making it to the Pro Bowl.
  4. Brandon Marshall, Tommie Harris, and ... Josh Reed ?!? One of these things is not like the others ...
  5. Peter King's latest Twitter update: "There can't be a more giving man, and a more selfess man, that I've interviewed than Ed Thomas. He was key to rebuilding the town and team." His story from last year: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...ing/06/01/mmqb/
  6. Untrue. Flutie would have an AFC Championship ring, but not a Super Bowl ring.
  7. Ornery? Not at all. Hmm ... wonder how insanely busy the LTR will be before the July 3 Bisons game? An aside about the naming-rights thing: Early on, right after Pilot Field (I think), it was North AmeriCare Park for a while -- unless you listened to Ed Kilgore. He refused to use that moniker, sticking with "the downtown ballpark" whenever he talked about a Bisons game. I always liked him for doing that ...
  8. Actually, the internet did have TSW in 1998. January 22, 1998, to be precise, following the HyperBills meltdown at the D&C's site ... less than a week after Flutie was signed. Coincidence? Carry on ...
  9. True about the threadjack, but it's the normal outcome whenever someone says ANYTHING about Anchor or Duff's. Nice that a couple of people actually did answer the question, though. And I love these threads, because as a non-Buffalonian, I can add to my list of places I need to visit up there. Heck, I drive right past the Audubon just before I get to Mom's place, and I've never been inside the joint -- an sin of omission I'll definitely atone for over the Fourth.
  10. The address which is easily available in the police report on the city's Web site? Public record.
  11. More from Berardino: Miami Dolphins: The latest on Vontae Davis mess in Illinois
  12. Dolphins are denying this. Mike Berardino (Sun-Sentinel) reports that Davis was at OTAs on the day in question, and he hasn't even been in Champaign since February. http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/footbal...0,7105571.story
  13. Seriously? Never been in there, but it's within staggering distance of my mom's house. Maybe I'll have to check it out sometime.
  14. Does this mean they'll go away now? Because that would be cool.
  15. Well, there is this Leon Washington guy with the Jets. I believe he's the reigning All-Pro selection at KR.
  16. Martin is my pick, too. Has to be -- no other back in the division has had more than a year or two at the top.
  17. I saw this thread title and thought to myself, Chef actually watches that crap?!?! Thanks for restoring my faith in you. (Well, a little bit, anyway.) Here's the deal (from my mom, who actually DOES watch that crap): J+K already had twins, went back for more, and ended up with sextuplets. So it's a "reality" show about eight anklebiters and their overworked parents ... who, by the way, make $75K/episode and have an off-camera staff to cook, clean, and help babysit. Trouble is, Kate matches her namesake from "The Taming of the Shrew" for sheer bitchiness, and Jon has apparently retaliated by finding other companionship. Will they divorce? You'll probably have to wait for sweeps week for that episode. As to "why do people care"? That, I can't answer -- heck, I couldn't take more than five minutes of the show before excusing myself to another room.
  18. From TG's ESPN blog: Select your AFC East all-decade squad. I figure that with few exceptions (Brian Moorman, Ruben Brown, and ... um .. let me think ...) we Bills fans can serve as unbiased observers for this one. How about Eric Moulds or Takeo Spikes, or maybe one of the returners?
  19. http://www.colinmontgomerie.com/pages/realmonty.html
  20. I have considered that line of thought.
  21. That's a rhetorical question, correct? After all, this IS the Stadium Wall. Remember the good old days, when the DF/RJ debate had its own separate sub-board? Yeah, that was cool. Or not ...
