Actually, the second part was BillsVet's post. Think he meant more of a situational substitution, starting Scott against "power" teams and going with Whitner/Byrd against the three- and four-wide sets.

Don't forget that Fewell is also fond of the "big nickel," with Whitner taking the place of a third CB.

Russ Brandon said the Bills targeted Hangartner in free agency after pro-scouting him for two years. If he ends up as a backup, someone should lose his job.

Byrd wasn't allowed to participate in the OTA's or minicamp because of Oregon's class schedule.

First half of the Comeback was all about Houston's unstoppable offense. Reich actually moved the team on a couple of drives, and I'm not blaming McDowell's pick-six to start the second half on him. First part of that Colts game was all about Collins' deer-in-the-headlights pose every time a defender got within five feet of him. Brutally bad, even more so in person. Lucky for us, the Colts ended up sucking worse. Er, maybe not so lucky. That loss helped them get Peyton Manning.
