No it isn’t because the new Buffalo Bills stadium is no thrills open air stadium it won’t take long to build think Key Bank Center that went up quickly for the Buffalo Sabres and on time because of the no thrills cheap arena. I wouldn’t worry about the new Bills stadium because it isn’t worth worrying about. The Buffalo Bills have no other fools that want to give them $1 billion dollars in benefits. It’s $1 billion dollars by the way not $850 million dollars according to Field of Schemes. Again it doesn’t matter $850 million dollars or $1 billion dollars the bottom line is this deal will get done because there is no other option for the Buffalo Bills. Austin, Texas isn’t giving PSE $1 billion dollars. If the Buffalo Bills left Buffalo I guarantee another professional sports team or league would come to Buffalo if $1 billion dollars potentially is given believe me that is a lot of money. MLS would do cart wheels coming to Buffalo for $1 billion dollars soccer specific stadium downtown. I wouldn’t count out MLB or NBA Buffalo expansion team to replace the Buffalo Bills either for a $1 billion dollars of free money with expansion for all three of those major leagues coming. I don’t think the Buffalo Bills are leaving Buffalo but if the Buffalo Bills turned there nose up on the $1 billion dollars deal some fool sports owner might potentially take that deal to move to Buffalo that PSE potentially passed up in my opinion. That Buffalo Sabres loss against Chicago Blackhawks was a complete embarrassment. Thankfully PSE looks like it is showtime the Buffalo Sabres are potentially going to be sold soon to a equity investor group thank goodness PSE are horrible hockey owners. John Roth is the Buffalo Sabres new COO of PSE and the Buffalo Sabres that is why I am speculating that the Buffalo Sabres are going to be sold either partially or the whole team. Some will say well no BSF John Roth is because of Kim Pegula health issues most likely. Maybe? But I think there is more to it than that Kim Pegula is 53 years old it is also Terry Pegula is 71 years old he is aging not well according to “Field of Schemes” January 18 report Terry Pegula is having some incoherent comments to other NFL owners. To this Buffalo sports fan that isn’t good. I get BSF the Pegulas are giving the sports teams to there children. Maybe but maybe not all of there sports holdings especially the ones that are losing money like the Buffalo Sabres. I think PSE will downsize some of their sports holdings with Kim Pegula health issue and now Terry Pegula is making incoherent comments to NFL owners along with bring on John Roth COO the Buffalo Sabres are being sold if I had to guess it fits with the new Bills stadium timeline last years rumors the Buffalo Sabres are potentially being sold. I don’t know when the Sabres are being sold but I don’t think the Buffalo Bills franchise will be sold at this time. Just all the Key Bank Center holdings the Buffalo Sabres and Buffalo Bandits I believe are going to be sold soon in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

This is horrible deal please Buffalo Bisons buy a CFL football franchise for Sahlen’s Field for Buffalo so the Buffalo Bills and the NFL has competition in Buffalo for professional football fans to choose. Because the business of the NFL is getting worse yearly for being in the NFL maintaining a NFL franchise in Western New York. The NFL doesn’t care about American cities that paid with taxpayer money, tax breaks and PSL’s while the NFL gives the World our Buffalo Bills and NFL football product for just the cost of a ticket that is a disgrace for all these American NFL cities giving up economic home games benefits for a price of a ticket. While American NFL football fans paid so much more than a football ticket as taxpayers plus PSL’s we can’t forget the NFL PSL’s for American NFL city fans that is a shameful in my opinion. Go Bills! Jerry Sullivan didn’t move any emotion I don’t read the Buffalo News because it is trash newspaper. It isn’t just one or two people it is that newspaper whole WNY media mindset of Western New York and the Western New York community leaders walking behind the elephants New York City interests for more than 50 years. Our Western New York area leadership sold the people of Western New York out decades ago. It isn’t one or two writers let go from the Buffalo News and Western New York is good to go. Unless you are old enough to remember the difference of Western New York pre 1978 and after 1978? I am talking to the wall you won’t understand which I get it isn’t towards you as a poster trying to explain my posts isn’t towards Jerry Sullivan he is a fool. Today is the anniversary that UB dropped football in 1971. A $95 million dollars New York State Flagship University in 1971 couldn’t find less than $200,000 for UB football. I don’t know how to explain that to you. Basically the State of New York didn’t believe in the Buffalo Western New York community enough to make a less than $200,000 investment that was going back to UB itself. The UB football money owed was dinning services to feeding the players at the school room and boarding which also goes back to the school UB. Again UB Bulls had future football contract deals to play Syracuse in 1975 and 1976 in football plus television money games. What I am saying is UB Bulls football could have been saved the community was never consulted and neither was the university UB. Ironically the same state that said no to UB gave Syracuse a private school that turned down New York State to join SUNY in the 1960’s found the money for the Syracuse Orange Carrier Dome. Again don’t look at Syracuse Orange today. Look at Syracuse Orange football at Archibold Stadium in the 1970’s sucked they were a doormat of Eastern football. My goodness Syracuse basketball couldn’t beat the Western New York Little Three basketball schools of Western New York in the 1970’s. The Buffalo Braves same deal they had a lease all the business community needed to do is make sure the Buffalo Braves season ticket numbers didn’t go under 5,000 seats at what $6 and $9 that is how John Y Brown got out of the 20 years new lease I believe it was. Again the Buffalo Braves leave in 1978 how on earth is St Bonaventure Bonnies not invited to the Big East Conference with a empty Memorial Auditorium because the Buffalo Braves moved to San Diego? St Bonaventure was a final four school in 1970 and a NIT champion in 1977. Our area economically makes bad decisions and nothing has changed. I see now Cleveland Browns are talking a dome stadium for Cleveland we are so backwards in Western New York. Lead by terrible leadership with a very bad Buffalo News and Buffalo News media cheerleading bad long term economic decisions nothing changes but the year. I know crazy Jerry Sullivan not only wanted UB Bulls football dropped down to FCS he wanted St Bonaventure Bonnies basketball another team I am a fan of to drop out of the multiple NCAA conference A-10 conference because of the probation of Bonnies basketball because of the player with a welding degree years ago. People here in positions of trust don’t look long term they knee jerk reactions to things which explains why economically with a lot of things in Buffalo. Jerry Sullivan’s reasoning was that the St Bonaventure Bonnies basketball team should drop to the MAAC with Canisius and Niagara so St Bonaventure could be more competitive and with there Little Three rivals? Because at the time the Bonnies were going through a tough period of time winning wise and the whole welder thing that Jerry Sullivan looked to burry the Bonnies basketball program with his witch hunt never letting it go he is a bum. Look it up ask older Buffalo sports fans it is the truth Jerry Sullivan just didn’t become a bum writer recently or because of what he said about the Buffalo Bills he was like that for decades before his anti women remarks recently Jerry Sullivan is a bum in my opinion. Have you ever read the Buffalo News sports? Names Bucky Gleason for one wanted UB Bulls football to drop to FCS for hockey? Jerry Sullivan was another one wanting UB football shutdown like his buddy Bucky Gleason. Erie County executive Mark Poloncarz a UB alum has blasted UB football in past posts making fun in the past. Now that UB football is winning his tune has changed but he goes with the wind when it comes to UB football. You don’t see Mark using any leverage to get UB Stadium upgrades or dates at the new Bills stadium at the state level as give away rent for UB at the Bills Stadium cost like Temple has at the Philadelphia Eagles stadium because of concessions done when it was built by the state of Pennsylvania and I doubt you ever will from Mark or Andrew Cuomo or Kathy Hochul because they aren’t what I call a backer of the UB Bulls Football program. Again new Bills stadium is being built by the peoples taxpayer money one would think the people’s state university football team would be welcomed rent free write that in the community benefits agreement but I doubt that ever happens. Because New York State is also not a fan of major college football played at there state SUNY campus it is what it is. Because UB is so big and got a huge break from the former outgoing MAC commissioner at the time 1999 who was once an assistant coach at UB in the late 1960’s is one of the many reasons why we have UB football at the major college level today when we got invited to the MAC. If it wasn’t for UB Blue and White donors we wouldn’t have zip there detractors of UB football are around the block the line is so long. It is ridiculous your not dropping a football program with almost $40 million dollars of private investment that would be crazy but with unfortunately New York State is full of a lot of crazy people at the leadership levels with a lot of power on both sides Western New York loses unfortunately again it is what it is. I trust nothing out of the Buffalo News so much so I don’t read the Buffalo News because of what they said about dropping UB football 15 to 18 years ago just a whole lot of crazy at that Buffalo newspaper. Again I am 55 years old so I lived with two newspapers the Buffalo News and the Buffalo Courier Express there is no counter point to really anything in Buffalo which is unfortunate that the Buffalo News can just write whatever and really rarely get called out on anything in my opinion. The Miami Dolphins are a joke if I was from down there instead of Buffalo I would just be a Miami Hurricanes fan and call it a day. You don’t really need NFL football down South and if the NFL team is bad why bother. I am a Buffalo Bills fan but the 17 drought Ralph Wilson and Russ Brandon nonsense with the Toronto Series publicly embarrassing Buffalo among other NFL fan bases made me more a hardcore UB Bulls football fan because the tickets were cheaper there was more potential to win there. Plus I didn’t see real progress with Ralph Wilson and Russ Brandon so I gave up my Buffalo Bills season tickets it was the best thing I ever did getting away from that nonsense never regretted it. At least when you support college football UB Bulls it is giving young people a chance at an education the NFL owners don’t care. The New York Jets are owned by the Johnson and Johnson baby powder company they are loaded money wise 12 years playoff drought for the Jets in New York is a disgrace. Same with the Miami Dolphins the owner Stephen Ross doesn’t care. Find other things to spend your hard earned money on until ownership makes a financial commitment. I know I did that with preferring UB Bulls today over the Buffalo Bills. That doesn’t mean you give up your support of the NFL hometown team but call them out when there bums. PSE and Buffalo Bills have zero control on my football fandom. If the Buffalo Bills left I have UB Bulls football filling up my fan bowl cases 2019 Bahamas Bowl champions, 2020 Camellia Bowl champions and 2022 Camellia Bowl champions again. Again what have the Buffalo Bills won? It has been since 1965 before I was born that the Bills won the AFL championship and I just turned 55 years old. In the spring the UB Bulls football sports performance center at UB breaks ground all privately built through donations so I am a happy man. Why BSF are you a happy man? Because I know UB Bulls football is going to more bowl games and winning in college football because UB Bulls are up with the elite football programs of the MAC 6-6 gets you bowl eligibility so it is wonderful yearly all the winning college football is the way to go over the NFL protected where you get a lot of losses between the few good years with the Buffalo Bills or any NFL team in my opinion. The Bills going to a Super Bowl representing the AFC hinges on home field over the Kansas City Chiefs. If the Chiefs get home field through out again it is wait until next year for the Super Bowl for the Bills unfortunately. As a Bills fan I will take the win but this Bills team has a good record but doesn’t seem as good offensively as last season. Part of it is the Josh Allen elbow injury part of it is losing OC Brian Daboll to the New York Giants. Ken Dorsey offense is just a little bit off with Josh Allen. I had another issue with Sean McDermott not using the timeouts at the end of the second quarter to force a potential punt deep in the Chicago Bears own end of the field. Also the lack of targets to Stefon Diggs is bizarre but Sean McDermott is bizarre who just keeps padding his bank account. BSF you are bizarre because you are always knocking Sean McDermott calling him a bum why can’t you say Sean McDermott is great and wonderful? I will say that about “Mr 13 seconds “ Sean McDermott when he actually wins a Super Bowl for Buffalo. BSF you are also too hard on wonderful Terry Pegula? See Sean McDermott when Terry Pegula wins something more than his bank account like a actual championship of any kind for Buffalo. Quarterback isn’t a road block for NFL expansion the NFL owners greed is the real reason they don’t want to share the US television money. There is no US market that to them moves the needle as worth while. I don’t believe NFL is expanding again for a long time including Europe that is just total fantasy thinking on the NFL owners part. I don’t believe that happens for a long time if at all either because of cost and different culture sports wise what is and isn’t important. The NFL can’t shake down Europe like US cities for public taxpayers money that is what I am saying different sports culture wise what is important. The NFL can’t even get a NFL team to Canada Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver but some how we are to believe Europe is right around the corner. The NFL expanding to European cities are as likely as English Premier League expanding letting in all the US and Canadian MLS teams into EPL isn’t going to happen anytime soon if ever at all in my opinion. I would never make fun of UB athletics because it is really cruel the fate UB athletics is dealt and I am saying that as a Canisius College alum. I have supported UB Bulls football and UB Bulls basketball with the little money I could for over 30 years because it is good for Buffalo and Western New York and the right thing to do but it is cruel the fate that UB athletics is dealt with this ridiculous state and even sadder that many in Western New York don’t care all the while saying Buffalo is the best sports town ok whatever. I don’t ever see UB Bulls in Power 5 Conference and I am concerned once UB Stadium structurally is past it’s usage that UB Bulls football will have to be shut down unless UB is able to fund raise to upgrade their football stadium privately. Because New York State isn’t going to do a thing about UB Stadium for even the MAC football level because they aren’t behind even that the MAC for there SUNY system school in my opinion. UB Horns Up! I am just glad Josh Allen is playing. If Case Keenum has to ever play the Buffalo Bills season is over for that year until the next season Josh Allen is healthy. Regardless of what the fans, coaches, managers, owners and phony analytics say today thinking that sports is in this new era it isn’t the goals are the same. There are two doors the winning door or locker room and the losing door or locker room. Sports isn’t complicated it has always been win or lose will be that way regardless of the technology or the training methods you either win or you lose nothing else matters or changes. I am old Buffalonian folk Lancaster and Cheektowaga are all part of Buffalo so is the Southern tier. Just because the city of Buffalo some think whatever there thinking today isn’t considered Buffalo doesn’t make it so. Buffalo is one huge area of the Niagara Frontier that makes up Buffalo. Who do you think is supporting the entertainment in the city of Buffalo? Certainly not just the city of Buffalo? All of Buffalo that includes the whole Niagara Frontier, Erie Pennsylvania and the Golden Horseshoe of Ontario along with former Buffalonians that comeback to visit. Believe me for Buffalo to get back to it’s glory we need everyone rowing the boat not just the city of Buffalo rowing the boat that thinking is misguided. UB North is in Amherst, the Bills are in Orchard Park, the Bonnies are in Olean. When Buffalo was really still going it was the whole Niagara Frontier that our area relied on not just the city of Buffalo we would never have gotten sports teams in the first place. Yes I turn 55 years old end of December I am older a Buffalonian I never ran into anyone talking like that it must be a new generation thing. The same thing happened a decade ago where some Buffalo Sabres fans thought they were hip not cheering Let’s Go Buffalo instead Let’s Go Sabres we see where that went? If one said I am not rooting for the Bonnies when they beat Power 5 schools like Notre Dame at Madison Square Garden because the Bonnies don’t play full time in the city of Buffalo but Olean 90 minutes down the road? Who does that? Even UB is in Amherst and the Bills are in Orchard Park so what does that Buffalonian do root for the Sabres, Bandits and Bisons only? Because they play in the city limits of Buffalo? I don’t even know what to say to that Buffalonian while they are most likely wearing a Duke or Michigan jersey on good luck you minds as well put on a Miami Dolphins or New England Patriots jersey as a older Buffalonian yeah as someone older who went to Little Three basketball doubleheaders in the old Buffalo Aud I don’t get it. But it is misguided because Buffalo the city of Buffalo isn’t big enough population wise or wealthy wise to think that shortsighted. The city of Buffalo isn’t Park Avenue Manhattan today it isn’t even in my day of Buffalo economically when it was going strong economically wasn’t like that so it is misguided of some in the city of Buffalo to think like that Buffalo is the whole Niagara Frontier I want everyone in city of Buffalo and the Niagara Frontier to win in my opinion.
