Looking at the Philadelphia 76ers new arena designs tonight is the Buffalo Sabres Key Bank Center even renovation able anymore? Look at where our Buffalo Sabres team store is now the whole atrium would have to be repurposed for open daily business to everyday foot traffic even when Buffalo Sabres games or events aren’t going on. The whole building needs renovations and redesign to the point Key Bank Center doesn’t seem able to be renovated from a cost perspective it might be better to start over with a new arena. Unfortunately I think the Buffalo Sabres are going to have to start thinking about building a new arena on a larger foot print with totally redesigned for outdoor space for fans not attending the Buffalo Sabres games. Key Bank Center is really dated. I wonder if the Sabres build near the Perry Projects down the block where some Buffalo Bills fans wanted a Bills stadium and repurpose that present Key Bank Center land for Canalside usage? What do Sabres fans think or do they renovate or do they knock down the whole building and rebuild on the present site playing in another city for two years until the renovations are complete. I thought for a while the Buffalo Sabres should renovate Key Bank Center but after seeing the new Philadelphia 76ers arena the Buffalo Sabres need to build a new arena sometime in the 2030’s in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

What NBA jerseys did or do you own?
Buffalo Super Fan replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
I own a Buffalo Braves Bob McAdoo Away Columbia Blue Jersey #11 and a cool St Bonaventure Brown Indians Bob Lanier Away Brown Jersey #31. Both jerseys stitched very well made basketball jerseys. But I grew up a hardcore basketball fan growing in the 1970’s in Buffalo. I still watch Buffalo Big Four basketball hardcore hoping for a miracle that the Bonnies can get back to the Final Four for a NCAA National Basketball Championship for Buffalo. The Bonnies basketball wise with Mark Schmidt give Buffalo our best chance in basketball with the Atlantic 10 Conference now that the Buffalo Braves no longer play in Buffalo in my opinion. Go Braves! Go Bonnies! Let’s Go Buffalo -
Antonio Brown - (Former) Arena Football League Owner
Buffalo Super Fan replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall
Few go because Albany is a terrible sports market folding more than 20 teams in the last 30 years but very foolish business owners read the business formula from a straight business analysis basis I can be the one to make money in Albany instead of really deep diving researching the market they are going too. If Albany, New York even cares about sports of there own city Albany which they don’t. Albany is culturally New York City sports and that is who they root for big time big league sports 2 hours drive away in New York City plus all that stuff is on television for a cable bill. Albany is a terrible sports city with the exception the Saratoga Race Track horse racing other than that exception. Everything else is failing in Albany the NLL indoor lacrosse also is failing but the PLL outdoor lacrosse is expanding to Albany next season but by passing Buffalo who is a great NLL indoor lacrosse market. Same deal with Arena/Indoor football is by passing Buffalo it’s bizarre like Antonio Brown and the Albany Empire arena football situation in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo -
I miss pre cable television days when Monday Night Football was a big deal. MNF doesn’t belong on ESPN it needs to be back on ABC television to get more viewers interested that may not be all that interested between the two NFL teams playing that night. If ABC isn’t interested then shop it to NBC, CBS or FOX. That is what has changed Monday night regardless of the teams was a big deal on the big three networks now big four networks today. On ESPN cable when MNF went there it ruined MNF at the time I thought it was a bad idea because the viewership went down from free television in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

Buffalo the Beast of the east!
Buffalo Super Fan replied to Billsfanatixs's topic in The Stadium Wall
For 2023 the Buffalo Bills are the best in the AFC East until proven otherwise. But this is probably the last season the Bills are serious Super Bowl contenders for a while because the cap is going to see some really good veteran players go which unfortunately is part of NFL business. Buffalo Bills GM Brandon Beane and his staff need to do a better job in the NFL draft replacing some of these aging veteran players like Poyer, Hyde and Von Miller if the Bills are going to stay on top of the AFC East Division. For the record I am on record as a Buffalo sports fan this will never change with me as a Buffalo sports fan of 49 years and counting. If the Buffalo Bills or any Buffalo sports teams professional or college slip out of the playoffs or tournament or bowl spots just once I clean house completely GM, Athletic Director in major college Division I sports, coaches and players including the give me give college athletes with NIL. Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is right just go we will find better it’s the only way to keep up the standards there is zero reason to at the very least not make the playoffs or college tournament or bowl games in sports regardless of the sport professional or college in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo -
New Highmark Stadium Announcement Video.
Buffalo Super Fan replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. The Buffalo Bills ownership is banking on less is more that Buffalo Bills fans won’t care if they get less and pay the same price as the Jacksonville Jaguars yet get less. Only time will tell if that assumption is the case? This subject is beyond the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo this is the 4 major league sports as a whole. If it isn’t the case Bills fans will be discussing why didn’t we see what other Bills fans saw on this board? Or by today’s society standards blame us those that said no we aren’t paying more in Buffalo than in Jacksonville to get less along with freezing we aren’t suckers. What concerns me as a Bills fan is how much PSE is banking on Bills fans PSL’s to fund their own stadium portion of this. I wonder how much money Terry Pegula has cash reserves or if he is heavily leveraged with the banks like the 1969 Seattle Pilots owners. Again I don’t know but I don’t believe Terry Pegula is richer than Bob Rich JR regardless of what Forbes says or doesn’t say. I think Terry Pegula spent a lot of money on losing sports business spin off projects downtown and I think he is leveraged with the banks that keep things going up to operate. That is why I think some of our local very cheap Buffalo business people want nothing to do with owning the Buffalo Bills or Buffalo Sabres even Bob Rich JR ran when he could get out of the Buffalo Sabres ownership never to be seen when it came to the Buffalo Bills and sponsoring the stadium Rich Stadium. These leagues are beyond the wealthy families watch out because nothing is too big to fail including the NFL in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo -
I don’t where to put this I don’t have a link and there is no area for the new Jacksonville Jaguars renovations. Did anyone just see the Jacksonville Jaguars new stadium renovations today? Wow they knocked it out of the ballpark. Jacksonville not Los Angeles or Dallas, Jacksonville? What is Buffalo doing with the new Highmark Stadium 2? I don’t get it and it’s not just the location or a dome. But why does the whole Highmark stadium 2 look lacking? Like PSE just added three Buffalo’s outside and some neon lights and away we go? Again I don’t think it’s too late to change the lacking inside the actual stadium? My room at my house where I watch the Buffalo Bills looks like a shrine to Buffalo sports why leave my house? I guess that I see as a huge potential problem it’s more of Highmark Stadium 1 in Highmark Stadium 2. Technology isn’t enough, the scoreboard is lacking, the party area inside the stadium is lacking. How are the Buffalo Bills going to sell higher seat prices without many changes from Highmark Stadium 1 in Highmark Stadium 2? I don’t understand why Bills Mafia doesn’t care and just pretends our new Highmark 2 is great in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

They should go back to lower walls made out of wood so they have more give then concrete they use today. I love Yankees Stadium 1 before the renovations after the 1973 seasons. The Yankees stadium walls were a lot lower like Fenway Park the lower wall opposite side of the Green Monster. I would also like a deeper Yankees Stadium center field with the Yankees monuments on the field of play again like before 1976. I would also like the NFL to move the field goal posts forward to the goal line again like the CFL does because it makes sense. You have to have the football go over the goal line or goal posts for the score. Also the football players should be able to bat the football off the goal post if the kick is low in my opinion. Go Yankees! Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

Great game congratulations to the 2023 NLL Champions Buffalo Bandits. A great night for this Bandits fans in my opinion. Go Bandits! Let’s Go Buffalo

First as Buffalo Bills fan the tiny new Bills stadium scoreboard sucks big time for $1.5 billion dollars stadium we get a minor league scoreboard why? Is that something Bills Mafia is also excited about? Does the Bills Mafia has no standards or any Buffalo pride to not call PSE out on stuff like that? The potential Bills Mafia nonsense like that staying quiet in meetings with Bills marketing people are potentially going to run the Buffalo Bills team out of town someday? For not calling out the Buffalo Bills on stuff like that because Bills Mafia think it’s going to save the Bills long term going all cheap in every way like the Buffalo Bills organization wants just telling them what they want to hear type of thing? And it is actually going to do the opposite when Buffalo Bills fans feel ripped off and tire of the lack of amenities yet paying sky high prices at the new Bills stadium. The tiny scoreboard is ridiculous in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

Yes unfortunately not good enough but that unfortunately is par for the course for PSE sport’s production horrible owners. I hope I am wrong but I don’t see PSE ever winning anything with there Buffalo and Rochester sports teams ever. It’s like there is a permanent storm cloud over this entire corporation it’s always going to be something because there incompetent bumbling owners it’s really sad. The Buffalo fans deserve better than PSE. I don’t see the Buffalo Bandits winning this Saturday night against the Colorado Mammoth there toast along with the Rochester Americans against the Hershey Bears sell the Buffalo Sabres PSE in my opinion. Go Bandits! Let’s Go Buffalo

The Buffalo Bandits can be NLL World Champions in three days is anyone awake on this message board? Does anyone care? By no topic on this message board unfortunately it looks like the answer is no. As a Buffalo sports fan for 49 years and counting this is what it’s all about. Not chasing some fantasyland free agents, tailgating parking lots, goofy PSL’s or tanking but winning championships for Buffalo. Three days the Buffalo Bandits can bring home championship number five one for the thumb for our Buffalo Bandits fans which is what it’s all about Buffalo winning championships in sports being the best in my opinion. Go Bandits! Let’s Go Buffalo

Josh Allen is getting the label as not a big game player in the NFL playoffs. As a Buffalo Bills fan I think it’s early to label Josh Allen with that yet. I put more of the blame on Bills head coach Sean McDermott and Bills owner Terry Pegula neither one can run a lemonade stand both incompetent leaders that are lacking. Again I want to be wrong and admit on this board I was way wrong unfortunately I am not wrong which sucks as a Bills fan. Big weekend Buffalo sports fans the 2022-23 Buffalo Bandits can be NLL Champions Cup world champions by Monday night if all goes well in my opinion. Go Bandits! Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

In the future the Buffalo Sabres when there MSG contract is up need to move on from MSG. The Sabres need to do what the Phoenix Suns are doing going back to Buffalo local televisions full time to gain a greater audience while going into more lucrative Canada for the Buffalo Sabres. Albany really doesn’t matter Toronto, the Golden Horseshoe is 90 minutes or less for the Buffalo Sabres should matter more for the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres weren’t smart leaving Canadian Sabres fans without free access to games. Also the Buffalo Sabres need to stop Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday home games there a disaster attendance wise. They need to go back to 7:05 Sunday night home games during Buffalo Bills season and when the Bills season ends Sunday afternoon game at 1:05. I don’t know if Buffalo Sabres fans eyes are open but Buffalo fans don’t do week night home games anymore for the most part. Take a look around the Buffalo Sabres fans is doing the Buffalo Bisons fan thing because they are mostly the same fan cross over weekend only games. If it isn’t Friday, Saturday or Sunday your going to have empty seats at Key Bank Center. Terry Pegula could pass out $100 bills outside the Key Bank Center to go to a Buffalo Sabres game weeknight and for whatever reasons Buffalo fans don’t want weeknight games anymore. Hopefully the Buffalo Sabres notice that trend too. Getting Sabres games back to local Buffalo television reaches more potential Sabres fans especially from Canada in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo

I think this all baloney Buffalo Bills diehard loyalty what is that? To this Buffalo Bills fan it’s a lot of hot air if one was to ask me. Here is a better example Buffalo Western New York through hypothetically climate change becomes a 15 million people metro area by 2050. The Buffalo Bills under Terry Pegula PSE continue to be incompetent hypothetically. Because of Buffalo size we get another NFL team or let’s say because America grew by 100 million people by 2050 as they predict another major football league pops up whatever Buffalo receives another major football franchise the Buffalo Wings anyway. The new Buffalo Wings NFL team hypothetically wins 7 Super Bowls in a row play in a hypothetical Buffalo Wings domed Vikings style stadium downtown and food, drinks are Atlanta Falcons prices. Still loyal to the Buffalo Bills in 2050 tailgating in Orchard Park with PSL’s or do you follow both which is what I would do if I am even still alive. Forget loyalty to one Buffalo football team the NFL owners or the management and players aren’t as loyal to you the fan. The Buffalo Bills would become what happened to the New York Baseball Giants that once was New York City toast of the city baseball wise until this guy named Babe Ruth was sold to the New York Yankees so there is your loyalty what have you done for me lately just win baby. I don’t think Buffalo in that same position is any different than New York, Chicago or Los Angeles in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

I already got suspended for my opinions on PSE and Terry Pegula I don’t care for another one because it just isn’t worth it Buffalo fans know how I feel. I have been around the internet for decades different Buffalo message boards going back to the Buffalo Blizzard. Most Buffalo fans know my heart is in the right place as someone born in Buffalo and called Buffalo my home for 55 years and counting but I have high expectations and standards for my sports team and my city. We are going to see if this clueless corporate sports company PSE can finally win a championship next weekend for Western New York with the Buffalo Bandits one for the thumb I have been waiting since 2009 for my Bandits championship number five. If Terry Pegula even knows who the Buffalo Bandits are playing is anybody’s guess? Terry Pegula your Buffalo Bandits are playing the Colorado Mammoth Stan Kronke’s corporation of teams that beat you last year you bum in my opinion. Go Bills! Go Sabres! Go Bandits! Go Bisons! Let’s Go Buffalo

I don’t see the Arizona Coyotes moving from Phoenix the area is too large to leave. I think that the Arizona Coyotes will join the Phoenix Suns in a joint new arena venture like Detroit Pistons and Detroit Red Wings. Quebec isn’t happening and neither is Salt Lake City both too small same deal with Kansas City. Houston is a maybe with Atlanta most likely getting the Atlanta Thrashers back with the Winnipeg Jets moving back to Atlanta that is coming because Winnipeg is just to small and they were hit hard attendance wise with Covid 19 the Jets are down 3,000 a game that is huge with the lower Canadian dollar. Television and streaming is the future which is good for growing US markets but isn’t good news for Canadian NHL teams for the money losing small market Winnipeg Jets with the Canadian dollar $1.00 is .74 cents US in my opinion. Go Sabres! Let’s Go Buffalo
-
Leslie Frazier isn’t coming back nor should we want him back with the Buffalo Bills. Sean McDermott will be potentially joining him on the unemployment line if he doesn’t move the Buffalo Bills forward in the playoffs one and done or worse bye, bye Sean McDermott he should be fired also in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo

“Legends” awarded F&B contract for the new stadium
Buffalo Super Fan replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
None of the people involved are connected with economic reality of working class America today in my opinion. I am not just talking Buffalo either. The NFL really showed the cities of San Diego and St Louis fans whose boss? Notice San Diego and St Louis are good enough for MLS but not the NFL. Don’t ever let the NFL owners tell you our Buffalo isn’t good enough or a major league city it’s nonsense. Congratulations to San Diego Chargers fans this Thursday you get a San Diego MLS soccer team fingers crossed you will get San Diego State Aztecs football into the PAC 12 Conference. NFL owners that did that to our brother and sister NFL cities should be ashamed of themselves. Buffalo might be joining you in the distant future in MLS when Jerry Jones gets done taking money from Buffalo pushing the Buffalo Bills potentially out of the NFL when Jerry Jones and the other owners can’t suck anymore money out of Buffalo and New York State? The positive at least the new Bills stadium is built for soccer potentially if the Buffalo Bills vacate it in 15 years. Nothing really more to add than that I said my peace with the new Bills stadium, the NFL owners the market place will decide the new Bills stadium fate if it is a huge success or not in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo -
Players that ARE HOF inductees but should NOT be
Buffalo Super Fan replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Disagree Joe Namath was entertaining a happening when he came to play in any NFL city in the late 1960’s through the 1970’s. Joe Namath was huge to me my generation a bigger deal than Tom Brady because he played in New York City not Jersey New York City which was Madison Avenue and Broadway. He was in television commercials, television shows and movies. Women wanted him and men wanted to be like Joe Namath because he was cool a cultural iconic figure. Trust me I am more interested in talking to Joe Namath than Tom Brady that seems uncool and a total bore regardless if he has 20 Super Bowl rings he is boring and that is why he will fail on Fox television it’s like listening to Mark Messier great hockey player with multiple Stanley Cups a total bore on television in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo -

Buffalo Super Fan replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really you really believe Ralph Wilson was this Super Owner that kept the Buffalo Bills in Western New York because of his just kindness of his heart? Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse is 3.2 million people combined that is bigger than Las Vegas, Nevada that everyone drools over as this great sports market today. Second point that 3.2 people doesn’t include any of Southern Ontario Canada that is huge market for the NFL greedy owners. What the city of Buffalo has in it’s city limits poverty wise economically has no baring we are talking 10 home football games a season. Western New York is the franchise Buffalo is a a hub or middle man. If Buffalo was this hell hole dump it portrayed today we wouldn’t have attracted NBA or NHL franchises in the first place. Third football is the easiest sport to support. With baseball is the hardest sport to support because of the number of games. Remember football is the easiest professional sport to support. The reality is Western New York with so few games fans have time to get in and out of the stadium for one game for 10 home games. But, but BSF the Buffalo Bills had empty seats in the 1970’s and 1980’s? Yes they did but it wasn’t WNY it was in fact Ralph Wilson meddling and cheapness fans had enough. We lost players over $10,000 that is how ridiculously cheap Ralph Wilson was. That he traded Ron McDole that was a sin to the Washington Redskins he plays 8 more years and gets to a Super Bowl. Ralph Wilson traded Daryle Lamonica my father talked about that trade until the day he passed away in 1999. I get it younger Buffalo Bills fans saw at the end the kind old grandfather Ralph Wilson who when he passed away gave away his fortune to Buffalo and Detroit which was fabulous and a surprise a nice surprise for Buffalo. But understand there were two Ralph Wilson’s the kind Ralph Wilson that most today saw later on in Ralph Wilson’s life and the meddling cheap Ralph Wilson that was just as accurate as Ralph Wilson was the greatest ever who saved the Buffalo Bills. Ralph Wilson made a fortune choosing Buffalo over Louisville after Miami his original choice for the Bills said no. Again there is no issue there what I take issue with is portraying Buffalo as desperate and inferior that isn’t accurate and certainly doesn’t speak for this current Buffalonian and Buffalo Bills fan. Again if Ralph Wilson never came to Buffalo in the AFL we would have ended up with professional football potentially with the Chicago Cardinals NFL instead of St Louis in 1961. Or another AFL owner later in the AFL expansion when Miami and Cincinnati came on board with the AFL. The Chicago Cardinals were playing games here to test the market at Buffalo War Memorial Stadium in the 1950’s. If not them we would have had WFL by 1974 most likely John Basset that Canadian government wouldn’t allow the Toronto Northmen to protect the CFL franchises in Canada so he moved to Memphis to become the Memphis Southmen than the Memphis Grizzlies so he could have just calling them the Buffalo Northmen WFL at War Memorial Stadium. I think he would have moved to Buffalo if the market was open by 1974 because remember he already had a WTT tennis franchise in both markets split between Toronto and Buffalo the Buffalo-Toronto Royals WTT at Buffalo Memorial Auditorium. USFL by 1983 again even with the Buffalo Bills at Rich Stadium a group of Buffalo investors was looking at acquiring a Buffalo USFL expansion franchise for the potential dome stadium that was what Pilot Field was originally going to be a 40,000 seat dome like what the Tampa Bay Rays have today but New York State would only give 1/2 the public money where did I here that before? Oh yeah the new Buffalo Bills stadium with no dome. Ok anyway that is how we got Pilot Field open air expandable if Buffalo got MLB in 1988. But remember the Buffalo Bills by 1984 and 1985 people were fed up with Ralph Wilson and investors saw a opportunity just like the Tampa Bay Bandits because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sucked so bad in the mid 1980’s. Again the USFL folded before the Buffalo Pilot Field money was even approved so we never got to see we’re the Buffalo USFL bid would have went if the USFL survived longer. Or CFL expansion to the US in the 1990’s. My point Buffalo would get something to replace the Buffalo Bills same deal with the Buffalo Sabres there is always someone looking to make a buck in sports. We need to let private business take care of it and politicians shouldn’t be involved in the sports business negotiating with billionaires owners lawyers. We know how that is going to turn out 99.9% of the time the owners lawyers win over the incompetent clueless politicians. Some Buffalo Bills fans needed to get over this inferior desperation oh no the Buffalo Bills are going to move spare me as a Buffalo Bills fan. I will believe it when I see the moving vans. No one cried wolf longer than the two owners of the Buffalo Bills. Again I hope the Buffalo Bills stay forever in Buffalo but if they don’t bring on the Buffalo CFL expansion team and working on Buffalo hosting a Grey Cup game someday because frankly the Bills leaving Buffalo is as boring as hell. I have $850 million dollars as reasons why now if the Buffalo Bills left tomorrow expansion CFL Buffalo Americans the 10th CFL franchise bring on Buffalo vs Toronto, Buffalo vs Hamilton, Buffalo vs Ottawa and Buffalo vs Montreal. And some people saying if the Buffalo Bills left Buffalo would be in mourning never to watch another football game again are dreaming. Again Buffalo would still watch and gamble on the NFL like always even if the Buffalo Bills moved to another city. But Buffalo fans would also go tailgating and be the talk of Eastern CFL football if that is all we have if the Buffalo Bills moved out of Buffalo. My evidence our Canadian rivals in both NHL hockey Buffalo Sabres and NLL lacrosse Buffalo Bandits already. So as a Buffalo Bills fan save me the drama oh what is Buffalo going to do if the Buffalo Bills left Buffalo. Buffalo would be like St Louis, Oakland or San Diego? No Buffalo isn’t like those cities we have options as a boarder city to Canada the CFL owners would take Buffalo and laugh at the stupidity of the NFL owners like Jerry Jones leaving such a good football market. We can agree to disagree at the end of the day some business person would play professional football in Western New York especially now with the new Buffalo Bills stadium. I could care less what Jerry Jones Legends and the NFL owners have to say as a Buffalo football fan. I would hang up and tell Jerry Jones we are leaving you for greener pastures where professional football is affordable without PSL’s and threats every decade with here we go again Bills and the NFL owner crying wolf about moving out of Buffalo in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo -
How the name, Bills Mafia, was born
Buffalo Super Fan replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am older Buffalo Bills fan and I fine whatever it’s a name whatever. People make too much of nicknames it’s a name people roll with it. I want old “Buffalo Bill Cody” riding on the Buffalo used more than the Buffalo Bills use it presently like at the 50 yard line in the future like the Cleveland Browns “Brownie the Elf” both from our AAFC days in my opinion. Go Bills! Let’s Go Buffalo
