HUGE GAME TONIGHT-Denver Broncos @ New York Jets
dollars 2 donuts replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I know I am late to the party, but did the Jets really think they were a RB away from being really good when they signed Bell before last year? -
Agreed. Maybe something like a season with no individual group byes, but the entire league is open in let's just say week 8 and week 16 during an 18 week season. If something were to happen in weeks 17 (15th game) and 18 (16th game)...well...too bad. I mean, just we should know where we are at all over the league by then. Titans and Steelers would just, as of now, be the only teams meeting up in Week 8.

Single player guy here, too, Andy. Yeah, annoying to have to play with the sliders and you know what...you really do have to play with the sliders because a guy like Josh just plain isn't properly set up for now, or even before the season. Andy, do you know what I want and I have been begging for? A franchise mode where I can just go into it, with the team as I have adjusted it, and play a season...one season, this year and not worry about anything else. Sure you can do that now, but I want to turn off all other decisions...I just want to play the games, keep the stats, the record and the schedule. Of all the things that people complain about with Franchise Mode I just want to be able to turn on and off functionality. It simply can't be that hard, right?

BF89, I still have my 360 and my copy of 2k5 (oh man...I hope I do. I may have misplaced it in moving stuff around 😬) and no lie I thought about I thought about hooking it up to give a go for the first time in a few years. However, isn't a pain, as well, to get the rosters? its not like I can download them on xobox live. Don't I have to download them via pc on a thumbdrive and or disk and then try and input it into my 360, which must have a HD?

Great point ‘75. Yes it most certainly does effect it. It is a game play thing, as well as a just plain respect thing. You can probably find so many articles out there about players for all teams complaining about their rating. if I am playing a game by myself can I just play with the sliders and get Allen hot to whatever I want? Sure, but that is not the point. He should be at...quote simply...where he should be at. They do adjustments every week...still waiting for this week. like Logic said. Additionally, if you get the hang of it...brother, even in bad years it is just so much fun. Finally, it’s a Bills team I can control! 😂

https://www.espn.com/video/clip/_/id/27223406 I believe this may be from a couple of years ago as it references Mahomes breakout year. Yes, Mahomes 2nd year was spectacular, but at around 2:05 of the video you see how his rating changed over the course of that year. Through 3 weeks Mahomes went from a 79 to 85. Through 3 weeks this year Allen has gone from a 77...to a 78. You see that Mahomes finished that year at a 94. ...So again, they do move players up when they improve greatly and this is just a joke where Allen is. We are not talking about players complaining about their speedor, “man, I’m an overall 89, I should be a 92!”. We are talking about, through three weeks now, the NFL’s #3-#4 rated QBs, with whatever metrics you want to use, sitting at a 78, which is 20th in the league. Don’t give me the “eventually if he keeps performing well”, garbage. There is no way and no reason why he shouldn’t at least already be in the 80s.

I hate to be that guy...but he wasn’t convicted. sure, if you think he is guilty. I even think he is guilty...but... that said, the beating of his first and second wife...yeah, it could come down. I don’t care that it is not football related. I’ve always thought that was a weak argument. -
Clearly, Kroft should start at tight end now

I just quoted from Star Trek VI in a thread with friends (albeit non-star trek fans)...and look at you bring it up.... MGK, may you live to be a thousand years old, my friend, and have an unlimited supply of your favorite candy, for free, forever. -

Here here. If I may quote from Sir Doyle, one might even say Kroft's game is afoot! 😁 NOBODY GETS ME!!! 😡 😉 -
Talks underway to allow fans in Bills Stadium

What is wrong with some of you guys? Now this is a problem, but we do have a solution...the Madden Solution. We take each effected teams top 3 Madden players and have them play each other...All Madden level, of course. The team that takes 2 out of 3, wins. It can be televised...oh, and they have to use their actual teams...The Titans can't go cherry picking with Rodgers and the Packers, and their OC. No, no, please don't thank me. I do it all for the sake of the game. -
Allen has 60 TDs in his career (40 passing, 19 rushing, 1 receiving) after seeing action in 32 games, but 18-13 (including playoffs) as a starter (which is bogus when you consider that the league considers yeoman duty in the Jets loss as a start, but whatever). Jackson has 61 TDs in his career (49 passing, 12 rushing) after seeing action in 34 games, with an impressive 21-5 (including playoffs) as a starter. Weird to think that Josh has started more, but Jackson made regular appearances at the start of his career when he wasn't starting. I wrote about this before, but was inaccurate in my calculations. If you go by starts (and you probably should) Jackson leads 2.26 TDs per game (26 games) to Josh's 1.93 (31 games). However, if you go just by game appearances Josh has it at 1.875 TDs per game (32 games) to 1.74 TDs per game for Jackson (35 games). Here's the thing, though, even with Josh's recent success I doubt anybody...ANYBODY, NOT EVEN THE NFL TALKING HEADS would tell you these two are close in overall TDs. There are many rivalries coming up in Josh's future...I am looking forward to this one as much as I am to any of the others. ...as the ones with Mayfield, Darnold and Rosen are just SO disappointing! 🤣 GO BILLS!

Yeah, I know I am in the minority, but I am just not buying this whole "Miami is one of the worst teams in football thing." Here's a scooch for the kids out in the peanut gallery to naw on for a bit...the Miami Dolphins lost two games to the two best teams in their division who outside of the games they played against them are 3-1, with the 1 loss coming against the Seahawks on the last play. The phins have also done so while being a plus five in the point differential. Here's something else, they held the Pats to 21 points, something the Seahawks and the Raiders (a combined 5-1) couldn't do. Apologies if some of us Buffalo fans see some of the talking heads out there throw down that card, with their eyes lighting up when they look back at us...as we look back completely and thoroughly unimpressed.

Week 4: Bills at Raiders
dollars 2 donuts replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am seriously going to lose it if our guys get sick out of another franchise's complacency and just plain laziness. Honestly, I will erupt. No offense to these Bills, but the Bills starting Fromm, MckKenzie, Roberts and Yeldon against the Chiefs on Thursday night all because the Raiders were BS a week and half previously would be...well...BS. -

West "coast"? 🤣😉 -
Wait...you just wait one damn minute right there, Shady. How dare you come in after a great victory and start spreading poop from other sources that will upset us. Adam Gase is a beautiful man, OK. A beautiful man, and he will be the coach of the Jets from now until forever and there isn't a damn thing you or your croanies can do about it!!!! *safe space, go back to my safe space...lalalalalala...smell the lavender, let it heal and calm me...*

Josh Allen 24/33 311 yards 4TDs Rating 128.91
dollars 2 donuts replied to IgotBILLStopay's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, but honestly Hap, with inflation isn't Kelly's 1991 yards really about 1,450 and Bledsoe's 2002 maybe 1,200? 😁 -
Side note, though, is that we have had a top 10 defense for the previous 3 years and right now we are sitting at 20th. I agree with what was said by someone on GR this morning, we may be missing Star a bit. EJ Gaines' experience wouldn't hurt, either. Not all of the woe are due to some of these guys out, but it doesn't help. I truly respect the guys who made the tough decision to opt out. There reasons are there own, and I get it. Family first, amen. ...but if you didn't hate COVID enough in 2020...

Lead with the not so good. trends happen over a few games and one that I’ve notice since the playoff game last year is that the Bills have been out scored a total of 83-40 over the last four games in the second half (thanks Ed!). Houston: 22-6 Jets: 14-6 Miami: 18-14 Rams: 29-14 please change this soon. The Better one, the sexy one, the one I dig beyond all get out is that in the last 15 games Josh Allen has started and finished he has 27 td passes, 8 rushing tds and 1 receiving td for a total of 36. I believe that to be the most tds by a Buffalo Bill over a 15 game span...ever. Long live Kelly, but I think his best over 16 games was 34 (33 passing, 1 rushing). If I am wrong, I am sorry, but I don’t believe I am. I know he has had the best seat in the house for more than a decade, but man my Dad would have loved all this.

How to make an NFL interception.
dollars 2 donuts replied to MrSarcasm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brennan, we won in exciting fashion, but you know what...yeah, buddy, you are damn right. I enjoyed the win, but I literally can’t stop thinking about how that interception...was a real thing that happen in the real plain of existence. ....*looks left and right for Spock’s beard*
