  1. Even when in disarray at the start, McD was able to get this team to 9-7 with a serviceable qb in TT. I think Mitch is better and this is a better team. if the strategy were to have Josh rest the entire season in anticipation of the playoffs I think this team, at worst, goes 10-7 which may win the division. Same scenario I believe 11-6 is likely.
  2. Ridge?! That's ridiculous. That's a dad joke. Still gets a thumbs up from me, though!
  3. I haven’t looked through this thread thoroughly, but early on I noticed no one was really referencing a another lights out receiver. I can’t help but think that with another Stefon or better (if that exists) this offense would be historically record setting, regardless of everything else. Yes, you can spread the ball around a lot. Yes, each of those gentlemen can catch 8 plus balls a game. my problem is I am not sure who I would choose of the other 4 great WR in the game.
  4. Ertz should be a Bill. Beane should make this happen now. I will wait and see. …wait this isn’t the Miami thread? S***, my bad. I’m sorry guys. Carry on.
  5. The shortest synopsis that explains everything: He is and always has been a d**k, and that’s fine, but he better be able to lead men. Not boys…men. He can’t.
  6. Guns, one more year. I guarantee Smerlas had at least one more year in him, especially in comparison to Wright. God love Marv, but he was not one for overwhelming force, but rather quick and technical which has its attributes, but not for those years.
  7. Peaches, why does no one talk about this more? Not a bad guy, but come on, our lack of stoutness in the middle of that D from 90-94 was ridiculous.
  8. This really doesn’t help me with the fact that right now I believe it is 5 years until Saturday’s game and a millennium until the season kicks off. I need Bills footballl…a lot…and right now. Baby steps to 2021 seasons…baby steps to 2021 season!
  9. Alpha, the Cowboys may win in what is still a terrible division. However, that is the thing...it is a terrible division. The Cowboys "may" win the division, and it will likely be at 10-7. If the Bills "stumble" this year they will be going 12-5, or dare I say 11-6 at the worst. I'm not predicting that, I am just illustrating the differences between the two teams. I am actually hoping for 13-4 or better. Thank you, as well, for pointing that out about Allen, which I wanted to cover, but didn't want to further dilute an already long original post. Those who follow the game know that if you are trending up all season you sometimes (or even likely) get an offseason bump in your ranking on Madden. On a team that shows many signs of being even better this year Allen was not the beneficiary of any of that from EA Tiburon.
  10. Having dropped before man first walked on the moon, maybe grasshopper isn’t the most accurate nom de plume, but fromThe Hap, I’ll take it! My follow up post below furthers my positions, and I still stand by it. There is not a personal Director in this entire league that doesn’t know every single player, available or not. As such should they be interested in a player they will call one in whether their roster is set, or not. We both know, as well, that rosters are never “set” so that excuse for needing to put players out there early to “catch on” is…well…just plain old thinking. I believe it is better for a player to be on a roster, learning and competing, then waiting around to hopefully get called on to one. It is the way the League has been trending and the way of the world. If we can’t change with it, well, then…I guess you really can’t teach an old dog new tricks. Peace and go Bills!
  11. EU, maybe no doubt, but still. They wanted to make this move and it was good a couple of years back, but they needed to go the whole 9 yards. The reality is if you are part of the five you are not getting picked up by anybody before camp, so they might as well get that extract time at an nfl camp to be prepared.
  12. WGR Caller: WGR: “Mike from Tonawanda you’re on.” Mike: “…” WGR: “Mike, you’re on, go ahead.” Mike: “Hello?” WGR: “Mike, turn down your radio. You’re on.” Mike: “Am I on?” WGR: “Mike, please.” Mike: “Hi, this is Mike from Tonawanda.” WGR: “WHAT’S YOUR QUESTION, Mike.” Mike: “How you guys doing?” WGR: “Mike, your question or comment.” Mike: “We need to get rid of Daboll before he leaves and puts us in a bad spot at OC.” WGR: “Commercial break.”
  13. The cut down of five players is stupid. NFL, have the balls to do it all in one shot the week before the season.
  14. Oh, please believe me, Guns, I am not criticizing last night. I actually really enjoyed the game. I just remember we would win those type of games and then swagger about it. “Look at us, we’re 4-5 and in the hunt! We have 2 back to back games of 250 or more yards of offense. Look out for the Bills, NFL! Bring on the Pats!” I mean, in looking back…from above, it was silly.
  15. Doc, I agree, but I was referring to defense of line.
  16. Bills had 165 yards passing on 31 attempts and 114 on the ground for 279 yards and a last second 16-15 victory. Do you remember back when, game in game out, year in year out, that was the game plan for this team in the regular season? 😩🤢🤮
  17. @Alphadawg7 you may have convinced me, especially after last night, that the Bills may go 10 deep on the DL. Edit: @BarleyNY you too, man. I thought 9 at most, but now…
  18. I hate to be that guy, but I saw nothing special. I thought it was ok. Nothing demonstrative that showed it was better. Did they run? Yes, because they tried to run. Was it generally successful…no. It didn’t “fail”, but I wouldn’t want to rest my hat on the running game if it came time for us to rest our hats on it. What running “imposing your will” did they do yesterday?
  19. Rousseau + hasn’t played since ‘19 + relies on athleticism especially as a rookie and it works + successful against higher pick = tremendous upside to me.
  20. I would be just as happy if they had turned two former QBs who ended up being TEs into serviceable additions to the Bills. Logan Thomas has turned into a keeper in Washington and Tyree Jackson is showing something special early on in Philly.
  21. All based upon the actual mess that was literally falling into Watson's lap.
  22. I want a parking ramp with one car spot per floor, 12,000 stories high. …honestly, you think I could get one dang thing in this life that I want.
  23. @Alphadawg7 I am worried, Buddy, that not being able to evaluate the starters who are sitting tomorrow might adversely influence your review of who makes the team. I don’t envy you in the challenge of maintaining this thread. 😂😉
