  1. Oh, please believe me, Guns, I am not criticizing last night. I actually really enjoyed the game. I just remember we would win those type of games and then swagger about it. “Look at us, we’re 4-5 and in the hunt! We have 2 back to back games of 250 or more yards of offense. Look out for the Bills, NFL! Bring on the Pats!” I mean, in looking back…from above, it was silly.
  2. Doc, I agree, but I was referring to defense of line.
  3. Bills had 165 yards passing on 31 attempts and 114 on the ground for 279 yards and a last second 16-15 victory. Do you remember back when, game in game out, year in year out, that was the game plan for this team in the regular season? 😩🤢🤮
  4. @Alphadawg7 you may have convinced me, especially after last night, that the Bills may go 10 deep on the DL. Edit: @BarleyNY you too, man. I thought 9 at most, but now…
  5. I hate to be that guy, but I saw nothing special. I thought it was ok. Nothing demonstrative that showed it was better. Did they run? Yes, because they tried to run. Was it generally successful…no. It didn’t “fail”, but I wouldn’t want to rest my hat on the running game if it came time for us to rest our hats on it. What running “imposing your will” did they do yesterday?
  6. Rousseau + hasn’t played since ‘19 + relies on athleticism especially as a rookie and it works + successful against higher pick = tremendous upside to me.
  7. I would be just as happy if they had turned two former QBs who ended up being TEs into serviceable additions to the Bills. Logan Thomas has turned into a keeper in Washington and Tyree Jackson is showing something special early on in Philly.
  8. All based upon the actual mess that was literally falling into Watson's lap.
  9. I want a parking ramp with one car spot per floor, 12,000 stories high. …honestly, you think I could get one dang thing in this life that I want.
  10. @Alphadawg7 I am worried, Buddy, that not being able to evaluate the starters who are sitting tomorrow might adversely influence your review of who makes the team. I don’t envy you in the challenge of maintaining this thread. 😂😉
  11. Does Mark want a gift? It sure seems like he wants one. Let’s talk Off the Wall.
  12. Why do we do this? Every year with this nonsense. Please, please make it stop.
  13. Thank you, Unbill! I knew it was a joke and callback when @Johnny Hammersticks , but then saw that it had a life of its own in the thread and I just wanted to let the folks who didn't know what this was really about. I didn't want anyone to think Johnny couldn't do the math!
  14. @BarleyNY Everyone, I believe the original post about the Bezos money was just a joke. It was a play on last year's election comment by Brian Williams and another reporter on that network stating (if memory serves) that every American could be given a million dollars instead of the government assistance program. A big deal or rather more so a subtle joke by both sides of the political spectrum was made out of the gaffaw by everybody after it happened.
  15. No, no, no, though Ex. That is the beauty of it. HE DIDN'T BELIEVE ME! We dodged a bullet with that one. Now, about that going back to tell Saint Louis to draft Brady in the fifth round.
  16. interesting, Blitz. I am willing to listen. although I did use the valuation of the dollar, based upon inflation. if you feel like it I’d be glad to see it. My goodness, Gugny, using inflation from 1994, how many people did he kill in 2021 terms?!
  17. The value of a Jim’s contract today is $18 million. The value of today’s Josh contract, if you were to do it back in 1986, would be $104 million dollars, even back then.
  18. Yes, in short. 1. Have the franchise QB. 2. Ask for the Public to build the stadium. 3. Sign the franchise QB to show you mean business.
  19. My mind was blown just doing the calculations earlier today, Beast. Your practical approach-Star Trek sort of analogy just made bile come out of my eye sockets. That is a crazy comparison. Unreal.
  20. Are they still that high today if they had picked the other Josh?
  21. That is the 2021 value of Jim Kelly’s NFL record setting 1986 7.5 million dollar contract when he first came to the Bills. Crazy, huh? We are not even talking about an inflationary change, but rather exponential change in the value of a product over time that just could not have been foreseen. if I could go back in time, and meet up with Jim Kelly before he signed that deal in 1986, I would be like… “Jim, good tidings. I am here from the future to guide you on your contract.” Jim: “Why are you wearing a sparkling coat, weird tie and crazy sunglasses?” Me: “I am trying to channel my inner Rufus from the movie Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.” Jim: “What movie is that?” keep up because you are a moron if you don’t know by now who is talking in this back and forth: “We really don’t have time for this right now and I should have thought about it further…like maybe a long scarf and oversized fedora and coming out of a police Bobby box. You need to ask for more money. A lot more.” ”How much?” ”whoa, I mean given the 2021 value of the league and tv contracts going into the future, the value of the deal a young man you will meet in the future but who hasn’t even been born yet is going to be worth, in your dollars…a little north of $104,000,000.” ”…middle-aged bald slightly heavy set man, I am going to drink my can of Teem, finish my fondu for lunch and then I am going to kick your ass if you don’t leave here right now.” At which time I will go see my parents from afar, who were still alive at the time and try and find away to warn them about cancer and leukemia…let’s be honest that should probably be my first stop. All that aside..whew, the times they are a changin’, amirite?
  22. Man, Virg…GG’s back patio on a nice Friday evening. 😍 I am envious. Enjoy, buddy.
