  1. just mentioned it on GMFB…6 million. We paid that for a CB last year who was decidedly not in Gilmore’s league. And again, this is the last year of his deal. Respectfully, this is a complete steal by the panthers, no matter how it works out.
  2. Dean his cap figure this year was 10 million or so, but I don’t know how they count all that. I think his base was 1.5, roster bonuse about 4.5 and then so on. Given that we are four games in it has to be less than 10 (maybe 8?) for the rest of the year. I don’t know how much the Patriots eat. Yes, a lot of I don’t know here, but what I do know is that it’s a great deal for the panthers that really doesn’t cost them that much for a former defensive mvp who is in the last year of his deal.
  3. This times a ridiculously large number. My goodness there is nothing more annoying than large, major cities with pro teams that stink. Hey, United States of America and talking heads alike, this just in: we don’t give a rats a** that the Jets and Giants suck. We really don’t.
  4. Pfft. Big deal. This thread isn’t going ANYWHERE until Edmunds comes out and goes after Bills fans for booing him. 5 pages? Please!
  5. Thank you for getting.  Many won’t.  I thought it was especially funny 33 pages in.

  6. I’m just catching up now, what did I miss? Beasely hurt his leg or something? I hope it isn’t the same one from the end of last season. We need him this game.
  7. Took way to long for me to give this a trophy. As I live and breathe, at that moment, I thought Ngata was going to be a Bill. I mean…it just made too much sense, didn’t it? Really?
  8. In all seriousness, yeah. Go into this game 4-0 and stub your toe, that stinks, but after the game if everything plays out as it currently is you are 4-1 in the conference, tied for first place and the team that beat you is still one game behind you. Come Bills, flip the storyline, get to 5-1 after the Tennessee game and make the whole thing inevitable for January games in O.P.!
  9. How pathetic am I, Chris, as I was checking out Todd's stats (because he played during my time) when I was looking up the Bama QBs. RT was at least reasonable. still a losing record, but yes a starter and he stuck around for a bit. HUDS, fly on up and we will crack up a six pack of Schadenfreude on them and do a toast! Additionally, even though I am a died in the wool (not a typo! 😂) Bills fan I want them to win the Super Bowl to finally and completely bury the "not drafting Mahomes" thing! It is stupid...STUPID that it does not come up more with them. It is referenced as an after thought. ...The Phish...they aren't going to be as lucky with Tua as we are with Josh!
  10. I feel all tingly inside just thinking about this. All...just sort of warm and happy. My toes are even wiggling. Ahhhh, yes.
  11. I swear, Chris, I was going to make a Richard Todd reference. Honestly is the last guy who really did anything, albeit it wasn't much, but it was something. I decided to go with how long it had really been since there was a last good one. Honestly, isn't it a joke? Stop with these guys under center from the Tide. just stop it.
  12. How dare you, Sir, besmirch the good name of all the recent successful Alabama QBs in the NFL. Men like Bart Starr, Joe Namath, Ken Stabler... Ken Stabler... ...hey, when did Ken Stabler retire again?
  13. I of course want the Bills to win, but I could just as easily and annoyingly see the Chiefs win by 11...say 28-17, but the week after the Chiefs will need a last second field goal to beat the WFT, 27-24. Man, I just hate the way our team plays the Chiefs. Atlanta? They can beat them. Vegas? They can beat them. Chargers? They can beat them. ...and all the while recent history shows we have trouble just hanging with them. McD, Beane and the Men, please...change that this weekend. GO BILLS!
  14. You know what the weird thing is, Gunner? I generally love the QBs in this League right now, and especially the AFC. Don't get me wrong, I HATE that there are so many good QBs in the AFC, but man o man, come on! When you are eagerly awaiting a Thursday night game between the Bengals and Jags because it is Burrows vs Lawrence and you walk away not disappointed you know things are good, QB wise, in this League.
  15. In my race to get that meme out I forgot to upvote your excellent post.  It has since been corrected!

  16. The white dusty lines on the field are terrified.
  17. My friend told me a story of riding through the dairy farm lands of New York that during a conversation with a car-mate it was referenced that when you travel on these roads and see all the cows standing up it means the weather was going to be clear. That you were in for a nice afternoon. However, if you are traveling on these country roads and come across the cows laying down in the pasture then be weary as you will be in for some nasty weather. Someone in the car ventured to ask the question, "What if some of the cows are lying down and some of the cows are standing up?" Wherein the one offering the sage advice quickly stated, "Some of the cows are wrong." ...some of you around here truly and extendedly were wrong in wanting to get rid of Star.
  18. Respectfully, speak for yourself FRB. ...I highlighted it. Then I put two gold stars around it. Seriously, this is IT. If we win the next two the conversation is really just fly right and stay ahead of Baltimore, Cleveland and the Raiders, because even though it will only be through week six everything will be about HFA.
  19. 'What if" is my middle name! * * No it's not.
  20. Hmm. I know little about Williams. Interesting.
  21. I disagree with logic like that, but please don't interpret that as me saying you are wrong. I just think when you have your eye on someone and you appreciate what they immediately bring to the team to make them better you don't sit there and say, "well, the second rounder WR should be enough" because you end up with a team saying that Zay Jones can handle this. EDIT: and DK is more of a replacement or place holder for a John Brown type.
  22. The complaining around here is ridiculous. Oh, what? You really think DK Metcalf could have helped this team instead?! ...wait.
  23. Look, I am telling you I am on the edge of being pleasantly surprised. I think 7-5 is still a possibility and whoa nelly I have fantasies of 8-4.
  24. The good thing is our most important coverage LB won’t be hampered by his hamstring against KC next as hammys usually heal in about 24 hours. I know, I know. Please, I am one of THE Milano guys around here, but the injury and the type of injury and the player it effects really bugs me right now with KC coming up. Wasn’t he hurt in or didn’t he miss the regular season game against them last year? If we somehow come out on the other side of this 5-1 HFA may be ours to lose.
