  1. In my race to get that meme out I forgot to upvote your excellent post.  It has since been corrected!

  2. The white dusty lines on the field are terrified.
  3. My friend told me a story of riding through the dairy farm lands of New York that during a conversation with a car-mate it was referenced that when you travel on these roads and see all the cows standing up it means the weather was going to be clear. That you were in for a nice afternoon. However, if you are traveling on these country roads and come across the cows laying down in the pasture then be weary as you will be in for some nasty weather. Someone in the car ventured to ask the question, "What if some of the cows are lying down and some of the cows are standing up?" Wherein the one offering the sage advice quickly stated, "Some of the cows are wrong." ...some of you around here truly and extendedly were wrong in wanting to get rid of Star.
  4. Respectfully, speak for yourself FRB. ...I highlighted it. Then I put two gold stars around it. Seriously, this is IT. If we win the next two the conversation is really just fly right and stay ahead of Baltimore, Cleveland and the Raiders, because even though it will only be through week six everything will be about HFA.
  5. 'What if" is my middle name! * * No it's not.
  6. Hmm. I know little about Williams. Interesting.
  7. I disagree with logic like that, but please don't interpret that as me saying you are wrong. I just think when you have your eye on someone and you appreciate what they immediately bring to the team to make them better you don't sit there and say, "well, the second rounder WR should be enough" because you end up with a team saying that Zay Jones can handle this. EDIT: and DK is more of a replacement or place holder for a John Brown type.
  8. The complaining around here is ridiculous. Oh, what? You really think DK Metcalf could have helped this team instead?! ...wait.
  9. Look, I am telling you I am on the edge of being pleasantly surprised. I think 7-5 is still a possibility and whoa nelly I have fantasies of 8-4.
  10. The good thing is our most important coverage LB won’t be hampered by his hamstring against KC next as hammys usually heal in about 24 hours. I know, I know. Please, I am one of THE Milano guys around here, but the injury and the type of injury and the player it effects really bugs me right now with KC coming up. Wasn’t he hurt in or didn’t he miss the regular season game against them last year? If we somehow come out on the other side of this 5-1 HFA may be ours to lose.
  11. my point being that…the possibility that it will be multiple weeks.
  12. Respectfully to the few of you who will disagree, but this is a big deal. and it won’t be better by next week and it will linger
  13. We will also end up tomorrow being number 1 in yards on defense. Denver needed to hold Baltimore to something like 19 points and 109 yards to lock the bills out. over and over.
  14. 30. 30, Bruce. The Eagles of all teams put up 30 on the Chiefs. Please, guys, let this be the one next Sunday night.
  15. he is up over 250, so he is on pace for a 1,000 yard season.
  16. Does anyone here think that Tunsil’s new motto is, “Beware of what you wish for.”?
  17. i have had some sadness occur in my life this past week. Not ashamed to admit tears were shed. Honestly, this mad me feel a little bit better. Thank you, ‘Tank. Bob, I know it is an extra billion dollars, I know I am not necessarily for it, and I know it changes game day. But in all truthfulness, I think in the long run it will be a sizable mistake on the fortunes of this franchise not to have a domed stadium for such a period of time that will extend past the end of my life. This is the one and only opportunity to turn this team into a warm weather city.
  18. This is like Christmas and every present I open is exactly the thing I want and then someone tells me, "Oh, person known as dollars 2 donuts on TSW, we are not having ham tonight, we are having lasagna based upon your late mom's recipe.", and then I get the mail from the day before and it turns out I won the publisher's clearing house sweepstakes grand prize and when I go into the living room to tell my extended family they all yell "surprise!" and show me an all expense paid trip to Nashville along with notice of a private tour of the Gibson Garage and also the Gibson factory, and then and only then when I catch my breathe someone throws in front of me a half gallon container of Heavenly Hash ice cream...no bowl, just a spoon and the container. ...so...seeing that team and fan base suffer...it's like that to me. What? You have a plate of Doritos with melted sharp cheddar cheese, jalapenos and Frank's hot sauce melted on it for me to eat while laying on the couch with my favorite pillow and blanket to watch a newly discovered Director's Cut edition of Tommy Boy?! Of course you do.
  19. Honestly, this sort of deviant behavior should put this guy in jail, not suspension and a slap on the wrist. It's stupefying to think that he could get just 6 weeks for this. and don't tell me "no one was injured or hurt". BS. this is assault and it has a creep factor of about 20...man o man.
  20. That has to be it, or when it was put up as he is currently 63-75.
  21. Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost their first 26 straight games. 0-14 and then 0-12 before their first win. EDIT: knew about tampa from memory, but the Chicago Cardinals (whaddya know we were just talking about them in the other thread) lost 29 straight games from '42-'45.
  22. I always lament how old I am, right or wrong talking about things I think I know. Well, you're never too old to be surprised, or rather too young to not know what you thought was true. I knew the Cards were in Chicago, first. However, I had no idea that they spent more time in Chicago (1920 - 1959) than they did in St. Louis (1960 - 1987). I thought they were just in Chi-Town for a few years before making there "long term" home in St. Louis. Hmm...the more you know, I guess. EDIT: On a more sour note if the Bills left Buffalo after 64 years (2023) it would not be the longest tenure before moving in pro sports. That would still belong to the Brooklyn Dodgers at 73 years (1884 - 1957). Too much information?
