  1. "My favorite pick of the draft!", said somebody about somebody who I didn't even know about before.
  2. Holy mackerel. But besides that how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?
  3. White and Elam together at CB for the next 4 years, through 2025? Yeah, I’ll take it.
  4. Duuuuuuuude.
  5. Great post, TPF, and solid points. Thank you, brother. I hope Josh Allen is the longest tenured starting QB in Bills history and for the remainder of my life...not that I want to die, but if he QBs like somewhere between Aaron, Tom and Drew he could still be here in 2038 and I am not sure of my time table after that! 😅
  6. TPF, respectfully, that is your opinion and I would love it if it were the case. As far the rest of it your amazement is on you, not me (😂 just kidding brother), but I mentioned the reasons why in my other posts, albeit just as examples. and yes, people change, if for no other reason now we are seeing more and more images of Josh IN bright lights, big city, beautiful places. He signed this contract long before his first was up, and it was really common sense for many reasons. Absolutely he wants to stay here… for now. I am going to enjoy it like everyone, but the implication in the earlier posts by people was that he is going to stay here for the rest of career, which remains to be seen. side note, why are you transplant bills fan?
  7. Sure...probably and hopefully to all. I agree that he is definitely here, no matter what, through 2028 and I am looking forward to every season.
  8. I never called him a liar. I do think some times in some circumstances life changes for an individual. Yeah, he's not going to have anonymity in any NFL city, so which NFL city without that anonymity does he want to be in a few years from now? This is a generational talent and a world is his oyster player...meaning he gets to pick whatever he wants and whatever dollar value he wants. I hope its here. This is my home and I have family here, but I am also tied to here. Would I stay here in WNY, though, if I had MY choice at whatever standard I want? I hope he stays here, but as I responded to 716 above and as I stated in my post, I think things change. Btw, what if McDermott leaves? What if the team changes? What if Beane leaves? What if they don't win a Super Bowl? What if they don't make it to a SB? What if after a few years he really doesn't like the OC? I know these are all what ifs, but these are all things that...kind of actually happen in sports and in life. What if around 2028 a Northern California team has a s***load of cash?
  9. No, after this contract.
  10. I love Josh Allen. However, he is about to be THE apex of this league and he signed a quarter of billion dollar deal that he is going to see every penny of and when that is done he will probably have 10 more years and a half billion more dollars in his future. Even he said recently that he is a little tired of losing some of the anonymity of his prior life that is long since gone, never to return. I hate to be that guy, but I also can't ignore the reality of the changes that all this success brings to this young man's life. So in short he is built for Buffalo, but unfortunately I don't think forever.
  11. You mock me, Sir? GOOD! Your homespun jocularity and good natured ribbing is one of the joys of the offseason and makes the time pass easily as we wait incessantly for the 2022 draft, which by the way and for the record is only 5,000 short hours from now, give or take a year! 😂 GO BILLS, HUDS!
  12. Respectfully RIP, but you left off Booker Moore. Although you have an "other" slot I just didn't have the heart to mark it. 1st round draft pick who had some sort of health disorder that eliminated his rookie season and then in his 4 active years with the team had he had 420 yards, 3.7 yards a carry and 1 TD rushing and 1 receiving. Died of a heart attack at 50...way, way, way too soon.
  13. The inflatable slide, or should I say slide system, that most airlines use are grouped for deployment as three separate units per door, and upon one's inflation and use it can be easily and seamlessly released from the side of the plane and disposed of for the next slide in the chamber to be used when and if necessary. * However, recent studies at Cal-Tech resulted in a general safety concern associated with the materials used in making the slides. The dense elastic polymer used, because of its durability, unfortunately has shown to be extremely flammable at extremely high temperatures, but only in its reduced/no-inflated state. Since it is not at a real risk of ignition when inflated due to the complex make up of its fibers it is the main reason why the FAA-AA has turned a slightly blind eye to those studies. ** (* Absolutely nothing that I wrote is true. I am making it up out of whole cloth giving no more thought to it than the time it takes to type it.) (** I told you moments ago that I was lying about everything that I was stating. Why in the world did you keep reading? WTH, did you think, "Oh, OK, NOW he's going to tell us the truth."? There is no one on this Board that knows less about this stuff than me...except maybe the guy who bet $5,000 on the Vikings to win back in 2018.)
  14. Yes indeed, and I do have AppleTV (for free for the next few weeks), but I was speaking specifically about the Sunday Ticket.
  15. I got DTV when I bought my first house in 2001, almost solely for the Sunday Ticket. I have been with them, and generally fine with them, for more than 20 years. If the ST leaves, and for various other reasons, I would consider moving on. I pay way too much, in general, for TV and entertainment.
  16. Nuch, I know this is tangential and I am in the minority, but I am tired of seeing how long this goes on with my DTV bill. In short, if it switches (and I don't think I have ever seen the option with DTV, although someone correct me if I am wrong) I want to pay for it in one shot. It's $350 or so for the season. Fine, here, done. Don't talk to me again, don't bill again. Go away. If I were to go to a game with some nice seats, parking, drinks, food I might be in the same range. However, when it comes time to pay for it I am done the next month. That's what I want with the ST.
  17. We don't say this enough...heck, I don't say this enough because I am always quick to comment on some of the judgement that takes place around here...as if I have any special insight to the way things work. 😛 (Obviously I don't) But I have to speak up now in the alternative...I am impressed in this thread with the knowledge that many of you have brought to this subject. Things that I don't normally think about as far as why the Bills would end up doing what they might do at the CB position. This is one of the few anxious concerns for me going into the draft and in getting ready for the 2022 season. This is one of those times where I look at the TSW and your comments and I can't help but think, "Damn...My Guys and Gals here get this and I am much better on the subject for having read and digested some of their thoughts." Sorry...this is just a long winded way of being appreciative to be here and to thank you for sharing your thoughts.
  18. And the thing that absolute sucks, Doc, is that there doesn't appear to be anyone making any new ones on the comedian assembly line lately, either. Side note, for me also goes back to Trevor Moore from The Whitest Kids U Know dying accidentally back in August of last year. Their brand of sketch comedy 10 plus years ago wasn't to everyone's liking but I liked the edginess.
  19. These are getting tough lately. Honestly. It's not just my younger days flying by, but the erasure of those that played a part in my joy from those days.
  20. Dear eball, I find such remarks by you not only detestable in impugning the character of an overachiever and great America such as Mr. Snyder, but also your musings fall far below the standard of what we should all come to expect here from our Board Members at The Stadium Wall. In short; be better. Respectfully, Samuel Norton* Warden Shawshank State Prison (* Loyal Board Member since that guy around here bet $5,000 on the Bills to lose against the Vikings in 2018)
  21. Remaining items on Beane's list because I believe in this moment in time there is nothing he can't do: 1. Trade for DK Metcalf without giving up any players or important draft picks; 2. Sign S. Gilmore to start at CB for the veteran minimum; 3. Make it so "The Last Jedi" never existed either here or in any of the other multiverses, except for the multiverses where I have hair (f*** those lucky jerks); 4. Sign 66 year old Jeff Nixon to a 1 game cap friendly (of course) contract so he can play against the Dolphins at home one more time to try and duplicate or surpass his four turnover game (3 INTs, 1 FR) that ended the 20 game losing streak in 1980 and so he can hang with Poyer and Hyde, where he belongs. OK...so...giddy up now.
  22. His decline in 2020-21 was to catch 164 balls for 1,660 yards. It is the highest 2 year receiving total for the #2 on this team in franchise history, and he was hurt in 2021 which might explain the yardage reduction. If people want him gone and also don't think his cap figures work, fine. My thing is I don't look at 82 receptions last year and go, "meh, whatever", because I believe (and correct me if I am wrong) besides Peerless Price's 94 receptions in 2002, no Buffalo Bill #2 receiver has ever caught as many as 82 receptions in a season.* * Correction, one other BB #2 receiver has...Beasley with 82 receptions in 2020.
