How did Allen not dominate in college?
dollars 2 donuts replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall
Master of the obvious: the absolutely best thing that happened to the Buffalo Bills was Josh coming back for what many deemed an unimpressive senior year. A number of sites had him as the number 1 overall pick before his senior season. Thank you football gods and thank you Josh. -
How did Allen not dominate in college?

My sarcasm above aside, Bob, this is just so ridiculous now...meaning, I've watched a number of videos of him from his high school days and even his JC days...it is truly baffling why not one of these colleges or universities, besides Wyoming, wouldn't at least take a flyer on the kid. No one...No one out there said to themselves, "Yeah, he's raw, but he is good. He has the tools and some fight in his belly. let's see."?! -
NFL Week 7 2022 TV Broadcast Maps and Schedule
dollars 2 donuts replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Side note and unrelated, but still it is about the schedule. Week 14 is the next time Miami plays a team that currently has a winning record (Chargers 4-2). Week 11 is the second game this season that the Bills will be playing a team that currently has a losing record (Browns 2-4). Sorry, it was just something I notice when scanning the schedules. No weeping for the best team in the NFL, but again, just noticed it. -

Motorin' I was hoping I wasn't being two straight with it. Please know, btw, your points are right on, too! -

He had accuracy issues. Please don't underestimate the importance of completion percentage at all levels. It matters. It goes with you wherever you go. A permanent football scar whose shame never washes off or changes. -
I picked the Bucs, because who doesn't want to throttle Brady's head in the biggest game of the year and have our linemen after the game FORCE HIM to shake hands with Josh. However, and I never want to see players injured, but I would be OK if Dak has to sit for the year, the Cowboys trade for Brady and the Cowboys make it to the SB...just so satisfying on many levels.

A Few Thoughts about the Chiefs Game, in no particular order
dollars 2 donuts replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Virgil, great post. Thank you. Many good points, but the sentiment I want to point out, that I am very much with you on, is being at peace. We are on break. We've had devastating injuries that are healing. Yet we are in first place in the conference. Maybe the most difficult part of our schedule is over. We have a head to head tie breaker with the #2 seed. We have a head to head tie breaker with the #3 seed. We have a head to head tie breaker with the #4 seed. We have a two game lead on the only team that has beaten us this year. I know who this team is. More importantly they know exactly who they are and what they are doing. Nothing is going to change any of that in what will be the most relaxing Bills bye of my lifetime. This is like sweet nectar* from the football gods, who can be finicky, but are currently gracing us. (* I have no idea what nectar tastes like. I'll assume pretty darn good...kind of like the way we all feel right now) -

...boy. Impossible not to have those two going through everybody's heads.

much truth in all of what you said, but also recent history shows the chiefs starting rough and finishing strong. I absolutely don’t think 10-1 is outside the realm of possibility by them (as noted earlier in the thread by @BillsVet). I think niners are good, but suspect and all those teams in the nfc west are middling right now. let’s put it this way, if you think the chiefs are the next best team to the bills and you had that schedule how worried would you be?
-
Given that I have lost all respect for the NFC West, realized that the AFC West was mostly just ether (Wilson? Adams a Raider? Yeah, ok) and their inter conference play against the AFC South (fine as I’ve never respected that division, even when we lose to them), it looks like the Chiefs only have two “difficult” games left on their schedule (Chargers and Cincy). @Niners Titans Jags @Chargers Rams @Bengals @Broncos @Texans Seahawks Broncos @Raiders I fully expect the Bills to at least go 14-3, but honestly, they might have to as I am not 100% sure 13-4 gets it done. Recent history shows it is not unusual for the Chiefs to go on runs. Go Bills. edit: side note, tremendous stroke of the schedule that the defending afc champions get both KC and the Bills at home.

Titans/City Agree on New DOMED Stadium
dollars 2 donuts replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall
I can’t believe that after the huge win by the Bills yesterday that THIS would be the best take of the day, but there it is. Bravo, Sir. -
I can't, gentlemen...I can't picture myself in my early 60s a decade from now and watching or having great interest in Bills QB, #16, Jimmy Doyle from Wisconsin finishing the day 20-30 (because, modern NFL completion percentage numbers) for 145 yards, 1 td, 1 pick, and 12 yards rushing on 5 attempts as the Bills lose a close one and drop to 4-4, but we are still in it. 🙄 I love this team, but it will take too much out of me after this guy we have now.

I won't BS you to start (maybe later) by waxing poetic. Let's get to the gritty. Since kickoff 2020 (because generally as a species we are just kind of geeked up to judge things by decades), in 39 regular season games Josh Allen has gone 29-10, with 10,931 yards passing for 90 TDs, 1,441 yards rushing for 16 TDs and 1 reception for 1 TD. 12,372 total yards. Total TDs 107*. During those games he averaged 280 or so yards passing, close to 37 rushing for a total of about a 317 yard average...for every. single. one of those 39 games. The measuring stick, the bell weather for Josh and every other QB, Patrick Mahomes over the same time span has gone 30-8 (sat 1 game at the end of 2020) has 11,315 yards passing for 92 TDs, with 802 rushing yards for 2 TDs. 12,117 total yards. Total TDs 94. During those games his average is about 298 yards passing, 21 yards rushing for total average of 319 yards per game. I will take nothing away from Pat. Hell, go ahead and give him the 319 yard average for a 39th game and he leaps in front of Josh by just 64 yards. ...but he doesn't come close to catching up on that 13 TD deficit. The duo's playoff games vary by numbers. However, do you want to love our guy even more than you already do (if that is even possible)? In 5 games he has 1,454 passing yards (approx. 291 per game) with 14 TDs, 279 rushing yards (close to 56 yards per game) and 1 TD, for a playoff total average of 347 yards a game and 3 TDs in going 3-2. His total TDs over that time swells to 122* in 44 games. ... I did say ridiculous at the start, right? (* Thank you @947 for correcting me on my typos!) EDIT: In the last 8 games, going back to the playoffs, Josh is 6-2, with 2,627 yards passing, with 26 TDs and 391 yards rushing with 2 more TDs. His average is 328.375 passing, 48.875 rushing for a total of 377.25 average per game and 28 total TDs. There are no...legitimate...counter arguments...to how good this guy is and where he ranks...anywhere...by anyone. You talking heads out there in sports (you know who you are) are officially fools to make such counterpoints.

Yeah, I’m this category. I agree with much of what you say above. I think the Bills are going to win, but if they lose it is KC in KC. If we win obviously much better, but this is our most difficult game of the year, so in a way it lightens things up for us in this one. Team is healthier. We’ve on their before. Play relaxed. Watch relaxed.
