(edited)8 games in, 4.5-game division lead…
dollars 2 donuts replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall
Don’t forget, eball, it would set the franchise record at five straight division titles (‘88-‘91 previously) and it would be the first Bills team to win 10 or more games a season for 6 straight seasons. -
2 1/2 technically, but I think the tie breaker takes it to 3, Riot. Either way isn’t it just glorious to see? 😁 Go Bills

4-2 after That Strech of Games
dollars 2 donuts replied to thronethinker's topic in The Stadium Wall
I also thought that 2 losses through the first 8 was more than acceptable, and we may be on pace for that. However, it does sting a bit to consider, right now, this is the 4th best team in the conference and they have lost to, and thus lose tie breakers, with 2 out of the other three division leaders. That said, it is ridiculous that this team, or any team in this league, just might end up being 3.5 games up after 7 weeks. No Bills team has ever won five straight division titles. Go Bills. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills
dollars 2 donuts replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ned, Lamar is underrated as a passer. I'll take heat for that from anyone, but it is true. for some reason he gets chided a lot for his ball, but more often than not he is pretty darn good with it. -
Random talking head says something about the Bills

Well, I didn’t say that. It’s just the narrative that NOW they are in the same tier, but easily Lamar is better. Keeping in mind Lamar hasn’t won one, or even sniffed one. -
*deep breathe* Ok, two things… they gave Josh his props. They really did. However, especially with Evan and Michelle. It came through great playing pains after extolling, their love and adulation on everything that Lamar Jackson has “done.” This was on a segment dealing with the second tier quarterbacks, which they say only right now contains Lamar and Josh and not Joe anymore, all agreeing that Patrick is the top tier, and that’s it, period, end of story. Evan was stating, “We all agree Lamar has the better career, the better numbers, and two mvps.” 🤨 No, I haven’t, I don’t think we all agree. I think what we know for a fact is that through 107 games Josh Allen has more touchdowns than any quarterback in NFL history. I think we know for a fact that Josh Allen has been to more straight playoffs than Lamar Jackson. I think we know for a fact that Josh Allen has won more division championships than Lamar Jackson. I think we know for a fact that Josh Allen’s playoff numbers are better than Lamar Jackson’s, easily, (but he admitted that). Michelle expressed her preference for Lamar, before so far this season. Look, I like Lamar. He’s great and I wouldn’t have minded him as a Bill. However, this continuing and tiresome narrative of who Josh Allen is and what people think about him and how he compares to others is beyond annoying. Michelle even mentioned her trepidation over Allen due to “all his turnovers.” Even amongst their laurel throwing and adulation over Allen it is always masqueraded with his “arrival, finally, this year.” Evan even talked, if memory serves, about Jackson being a Hall of Famer, achieving so much and Allen isn’t comparable?! 🤪 BTW, when it came time to pick the game they all picked the Ravens for various reasons, although I’ll admit I don’t like Harbough’s 20-3 record in primetime, but that was no big surprise. In short…yeah, I need our boys to go to Maryland and kick their round a$$es square on Sunday night. Go Bills!

I haven't read through the thread and my comment is going to be a little different. First, of course you sign him, no question. However, the real question is are you going to keep Douglas through to the end of the season because he is so good or do you get some value for him before you have to let him go, because to be clear, you are not going to be able to sign both. You just won't and especially with Rousseau on the table, as well. In short...and I am committing sacrilege...do you consider offers for Douglas at the trade deadline* (* As long as you have someone you are confident can step in) or do you ride or die for the Super Bowl knowing you won't get anything when he goes? Go Bills!

BF you must have forgotten mine. That's ok. It's @dollars 2 donuts @machine gun kelly and @NoHuddleKelly12 should have caught it but I am sure they must have been busy. I promise you I am not taking this personal slight personally. That would be petty and small minded of me. That's not me. Go Bills -
Very respectfully, Johnny, no you really don't. That is an easy excuse that is always used...last year's receipts for this year's taxes. Oh, don't get me wrong. I know that's the way most do it, but it is wrong. Ranking right now...not what they did last year. Right now they are 3-0 after struggling in 3 games against teams that...right now, are 2-7. I am not waiting for this year's playoff results to determine week 3 power rankings. Go Bills!

Nothing you said, Colin, is untrue. You are most certainly correct. My problem is this is the now and not what was. That’s why I am also one of the guys saying no slow roll for the Vikes up the charts. Justifiably in some polls they are in the top 3 or 4. Power Rankings…right now…and the Bills are the best. The highest rated QB. The most points in the league. A stifling defense with 3 starters out…2 of them all pros. Other than special teams this D has given up 2 tds in 2.5 games, or the same amount as they gave up in the first half of game 1. Every game the Chiefs have played has been “exciting.” They struggle. Is that what “power” and “rankings” are all about? Go Bills! Egg. Zactly, Banana. 109 points in 2.5 quarters and about 30 seconds. And that is taking their foot off the gas through two quarters last night.

NBC SF https://www.nbcsportsbayarea.com/nfl/san-francisco-49ers/power-rankings-week-4-loss-rams/1784608/ Finally some respect. Arizona Republic https://www.azcentral.com/story/sports/nfl/2024/09/23/nfl-power-rankings-week-4-2024-season/75343856007/ For which it stands…but come one, get with the program. No way you can watch the Atlanta and Jag games and not move the 1 and 2. USA Today https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/columnist/nate-davis/2024/09/24/nfl-power-rankings-chiefs-bills-vikings-steelers-seahawks/75358094007/ I didn’t argue with Houston being ahead of the Bills last week in some polls. Here the Texans take a pounding for that loss. CBS Sports https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-week-4-power-rankings-steelers-crack-top-5-as-mike-tomlin-showcases-brilliance-eagles-jets-make-jump/ “They are winning close games, but the record says they are undefeated. I still think the best is yet to come. Travis Kelce needs to pick it up.” Sure, what a compliment for number 1: “they’re winning close games.” Oh, and Kelce will wake up and be in his 20s tomorrow 🙄. he’s toast. The 33rd Team https://www.the33rdteam.com/2024-nfl-week-4-power-rankings-vikings-challenge-chiefs-for-top-spot/ Thank you for the Bills, however, I must say you can’t keep a team in the top five at 1-2. You can’t. The bill suffer even in the rankings when they are riddled with injuries. 49ers should too. ESPN (Power Index) https://www.espn.com/nfl/fpi This is interesting and maybe more accurate. The chiefs not even at number 2. Sports Illustrated https://www.si.com/nfl/nfl-power-rankings-week-4-vikings-steelers-jets Oh gut check time now for the Bills? The MAC portion of their schedule is over? Got it. I also got that when we beat the Ravens next week they are suddenly not going to be that challenging of team that just barely lost to the Chiefs in week 1. The Bills don’t need the zebras to bail for them like the chiefs do. Bleacher Report https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10136370-br-experts-week-4-nfl-power-rankings-where-does-every-team-stand "The only reason I have the Bills ranked behind Kansas City is that Buffalo's opponents this year are a combined 2-7," As previously alluded to there, Capt., the Chiefs opponents are a combined 2-7 in all games, too. The only difference between the two? The Bills don't struggle or need help from the refs to win their games. Pro Football Talk (Florio) https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/pfts-week-4-2024-nfl-power-rankings Where else would you rather be than right here, right now? Thank you, PFT, because its not about who won last year.

Bills vs Jags Game Week Thread - MNF
dollars 2 donuts replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
HUDS, exactly and the hope is does this become like the Titans...trouble to us for years and then we take them out to the woodshed. Here's hoping we grab the sledge hammer from the shop in back! EDIT: BTW and just for the record, I checked my watch and we are approximately 5 years away from kickoff on Monday night. ...I hate this. -
Bills vs Jags Game Week Thread - MNF
dollars 2 donuts replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
I am not saying we should trounce this team, but we should easily beat them. Will that happen? I'm literally grinding my teeth right now because we will get to halftime and the Bills will be up, 10-7, and we'll all be asking "why aren't we up more?!" This will be followed by that puke feeling as early in the 4th quarter the jags will take a 13-10 lead. Good thing is Josh will then get us into field goal range and we'll tie it up... ...with 1:27 left on the clock and the Jags with two timeouts left. I can't even express to you how much I hate playing this stupid team more than the others. -
Ya know, A2C, that is exactly what I was thinking when I posted it, but never said it. Thank you. They beat the Broncos by 50. In '21 we beat the Texans, a team who beat us a couple of years previously in the playoffs, by 40 on a terrible weather day. Sure, there was a bit of revenge. However, I have no memory of us being overly jerky to them or their fans afterwards.
