  1. I believe the buyout even early on in the current lease is one billion dollars. Yes, a lot, but given the scales we are currently talking about with the potential sale of the Commanders the economics of these deals are so different than even just 9 years ago. back then a Bills owner with a 5 billion dollar worth made you one of the richest owners in the NFL, but probably would not get you through the door to buy a team today. If you have 5 billion to spend on an NFL team I really going to be that sick over spending another billion to possibly move them someplace else? Additionally, just because we are told succession is in place doesn't mean it has to take place. Many of us have, and continue, to keep Kim in our thoughts and prayers and maybe we can't even comprehend what they are dealing with at this point in her health. However, at 72, what if Terry, without the continued assistance, guidance ad even partnership with his wife, doesn't want to do this anymore at some point? Regardless, I have resigned myself to the idea that even if they make it to the end this will be the last lease deal for the Bills in Western New York. Will I have shuffled off this mortal coil before they go? Maybe. However, I am in the minority because it does matter to me if they leave when I am gone, because I would like to think that whenever my child roots for this team in the future it will draw her closer and make her think about her late father. While she watches the team during the games, and also to be in attendance during the annual halftime ceremony celebrating my exploits as the martyred commander of Space Force who successfully defended our planet from alien invaders on "He Did It For All of US Day", always set as the third Sunday in October.
  2. Step 1: Purchase Madden 24; Step 2: Set sliders on Madden 24 to "Rookie"; Step 3: Win Super Bowl in in Madden 24 with 500 yards passing by Josh Allen, and a score of 63-7 over [ insert NFC fodder team here]. I love my Bills. I don't think it is a Super Bowl year. Rebuild? No...I prefer the term "Reload." However, I think 24 will set up very nicely for a run in 25. Buffalo Bills...prove me wrong and win it all in 24.
  3. It is a great weight you have put on my shoulders, Sir. I did not ask for this burden. It has been thrust upon me out of necessity. Please know its importance is not lost on me. Let me me finish my egg McMuffin and ponder it further.
  4. Thank you, both. I honestly did not know and appreciate it. ...so let me add...that is cool, too. In general I've been pretty OK with the offseason.
  5. Cool, like him a lot, great news. Unrelated here, but our punter was only on a one year deal, right? Anything on him? Sorry, I have been out of the loop.
  6. I do remember him and I was a fan, as I was of all those guys on the 78-82 Knox Era teams. They were all my heroes as a boy. I am gray and old and bald now. He passes at 72 and I have sadness over it, because I still see him, and all of them, through the eyes of that small boy as they were then...and as I was. The almost tears in my eyes are for the both of us. RIP, Sir.
  7. I don't think it is a stupid question, Warrior, to bring up possibilities outside the norm of what they are thinking about here above and beyond some of these guys just being safeties. No, I don't think they should reinvent the wheel with a safety/LB hybrid, but there seems to be a little bit more of their thinking with this other than just signing a guy. ...or...really maybe it is just that...kicking the tires to see if he could turn into even half the player that Hyde and Poyer are.
  8. I believe Crowder was paid $333,000 and some change per reception here in 2022. I wish him the best, but this just really didn't work out due to the injury. Good luck with the Giants. I'm kind of 100% sure things will work out well for both team and player on this one in 2023. Dang, I like what the Giants have been doing.
  9. Actually, I take back what I wrote earlier. This is great. Dorsey will find a way to get him involved. That has sort of been Dorsey's M.O. since taking over the reigns last year. He'll most assuredly keep the Happiness Factory that is our current WR corps humming right a long.
  10. Stuck on how to emoji this. I had thumbs down, but that was for the signing. I changed to thank you to you because I agree with your "why?" Spotrac figured him at about 8.5 million. I don't agree with the signing, either way. Are you s****ing me that this is a concern for this team right now?! A STer and iMck replacement?! Waiting for the "Beane knows more than you" group so I can fart in your general direction. Coincidentally, I am loading up on beans for ammo. I couldn't care less what they know as I generally have not been pleased with their drafting and FAs for the last couple of years. Yes, even the Von Miller signing. I'll be thrilled when he makes it to the post season for us, and our whole defensive philosophy isn't dependent upon a 33-34 year old playing. That's it. Lunch!
  11. Am I to assume then that we have enough to lock Bobby Hart up? Asking for a friend.* (* My friend may or may not be Bobby Hart)
  12. Right! It stinks, Dr., when you sign an older guy for more than 100 million dollars (per year, what? I don't know, let's say $19 million - $21 million, no, how about $19.75 mill to $20.25 mill, somewhere around there jsut for an example) and then he isn't even healthy enough to play. I feel bad for those teams.
  13. As I live and breath, guys, I knew this as many of you likely did, as well. I just could not see Stafford back with the Rams even before he got injured, but the injury didn't help.
  14. Sober and well thought out, RK. Now go **** yourself. 😂🤣 I'm just kidding, brother, you know that. Seriously, I couldn't agree more. Man, am I one of the few people who really likes Jackson, both as a player and a person, and would be happy to see him get whatever he can get?
  15. Agree with you, O, but I also think they can work on it. I just can't help it. I like their young receivers, love their RB, and their D is nasty. I don't think this is a bad move for any of the three, (Rodgers, Jets, Pack) involved.
  16. JR, I honestly agree. It's just someone I liked and wanted.
  17. THREE things can be true. 1) He is twice the QB Watson is. 2) Baltimore should absolutely not give him the contract he is asking for. 3) I want that money so badly. Even some of it. Oh please, please, please, please, please, please.
  18. When Schwartz got signed awhile back I was initially in "aww shucks" mode. ...I am back in aww shucks mode right now.
  19. I absolutely love this team and have for a half century. and I am almost cartoonish in my belief in them. but I refuse to close my eyes about who they are and where they are going until they actually win it all.
  20. newcam, blunt and good responses above. I concur completely.
  21. I like him a lot...but I 100% agree with you. More was needed. It wasn't there...it just honestly wasn't there and not even close.
  22. Boy, I am sorry I don't have anyone in mind...but just a good, reasonably aged Olinemen that is plug and play. A real, live plug and play and not a, "YES, he's awesome, we sure...oh wait...wow...eww...ok...well," player.
  23. I am no being sarcastic...nothing with respect to the Rams and a 35 year old Matt Stafford coming off an injury? They are staying put...not even drafting ( and yes I know they have no picks, but that is also my point)?
  24. Stamp, Amen. How many times do we have to say this? Why is this even a point of contention with anybody on this subject?! Scratch out any dates. The years don't matter. The stat reference should essentially be in any given year, "Josh Allen, QB. Thousand yard receivers: Stephon Diggs and ____________."
  25. The actions of him, chargeable or not, provable to the degree that they were explained or not, we’re terrible, either way. The thing is what was the big picture? …we were all, including the Bills, listening to and literally doing determinations and making decisions by the soap boxing of attorneys….zealous advocates on behalf of their client. (paraphrasing what was expressed): we didn’t want any of this we wanted this settled we tried to talk to the bills our hands were forced all we wanted was an apology
