Another Bills preview Real GM, Jeff Risdon
dollars 2 donuts replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Williams' first year "gutted" team was 3-13...do the 2009 Bills resemble that team in any way? No, I don't think so. -
Actually, I think it is just about fun. Why is it over the top?

Will you be buying Madden 2010?
dollars 2 donuts replied to billsfan89's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Madden 93 on the Genesis...look, I know it is cheap but I could send Thurmal out on sweep, take'em right to the sidelines and then...gone, 80 yards. It worked 90% of the time. Man, I loved when I could buy these games and the bills would be good. -
NEW White Throwback pic's!!!!!

Ahh, it feels like deja vu all over again. They're old, but don't worry my friend, it STILL is exciting to see them. -
Harris and Lankster signed

I believe in a rookie cap. However, as far as compromises go, silvermike, I like your idea very much. -

I think Madden 09 was the best edition of the game since Madden 05. I believe from what I have seen, some of it you referred to above, that this is going to be even better than 09 and not just simply 09.5. ...I will be buying. -
Best place to get Bills Jerseys

Back then we all thought and were told it was a sprain. Fergy KNEW it was broken. Can anyone here say "Great Big Ones" because that's what that guy had, and still has with his health battles, today. Thanks for the memories and God bless you, Joe. Oh, and yeah, he would be good today.

Madden topic for a rainy June day
dollars 2 donuts replied to SteamRoller67's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This It is just too hard, unless the player is a really good guy...and pretty darn good. ...however, with franchising online this year, it is going to be tough to pass up some of those players come draft day. -
Geez, BT, I remember this guy with FSU and I usually don't remember anybody. Yeah, he had some skills and I'm kinda interested to see this kid and how he has made it back.

I think he was even the highest rated punter in Madden 09, and although he dropped off a little bit last year he should definitely be in the 90s.

Bills exploring building a new stadium

Nice Beerball. GR must be driving along the shoulders of the information super highway. -
You and me both, SW. I am not a great Madden player and I did not play a lot last year, but i gave some good Madden players a run for their money with hot route/ audible laden Bills team that had no business hanging around in games that long.

BillsVet you are being ridiculous. Why would you want Nagata, the third highest ranked DT, we you already have the third highest ranked safety in Whitn...oh, wait...that's right. Good point. Well, we as Bills fans didn't want to draft Nagata anyw...oh, wait, that's not quite true, is it.

Have the Bills ever had a media magnet
dollars 2 donuts replied to Hazed and Amuzed's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Maybe, I just know that back then the media was television, movies and advertising: I remember OJ on the big screen, not the 15"-19" little screen of the internet. I remember watching OJ on SNL when SNL was THE thing at the time. and I remember OJ in almost every magazine for Dingo boots and on TV seemingly every 10 minutes flying through airports for Hertz, not just doing plugs for MNF. The 70s just called apologizing for not having the internet or reality TV, but yeah, he was pretty damn big...and not just in Buffalo. EDIT: Surprisingly enough, i think he may have also pushed a little orange juice in his time. -

Not really, he was a movie star and had hosted Saturday Night Live (as edgy as anything in the 70s) long before his career in Buffalo ended. Trust us, some of us were present during the 70s while it was going on. -
Bills have $13.8 million in cap room
dollars 2 donuts replied to Fingon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Juice, the actual article I read was from a couple of years ago. I think it was in Sports Illustrated and it was a great, great read. I am lazy and bad at looking up stuff, but hopefully someone can find it. Oh, and right back at ya EDIT: Well, i guess I am not that lazy, here is a similar article compliments of Mr. Frank - http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/writ...01/cap.figures/ -

I mentioned this in a post awhile ago but can't find it; if memory serves me The Eagles and at one point the Vikings were two of the first teams to really manipulate the salary cap. In other words, and i am not exactly sure how on point I am with this, they front load contracts and/or do away with or use up cap space in a particular year to leave more money for following years. Sure, there was a risk and it is pretty free with the money, but it seems to have worked because they ALWAYS seem to have cap space. -
Another reason why our coaching staff is stupid
dollars 2 donuts replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
offde I mean no offense, but do you really think it makes a difference what hand we do, or don't show...to the New England Patriots...on Monday Night Football...on the road? In the last 17 games we are 1-16 against this team and have been outscored 432-181 and if they were banned from looking at any film on us leading up to kickoff it will take them all of three plays into our first drive to figure us out. I hate to be THAT guy, but we kind of live in THAT world. -
Honestly, if the above happened (lets say even Jones at LT) and I can't believe I'm saying this...I think we should be considered a playoff contender. Mind you, not a playoff team. Not a division champion. Maybe not even a winning record by the end of the season, and possible not even out of last place (given our division), but we should at least be one of the teams on the radar. Go Bills.
