  1. Correct me if I am wrong, but for us Directv subscribers that means we would lose about 7 sabres games? Was that it? I thought I heard that's how many games we had on versus this year. 8.5% of Sabres games, all in HD - gone...yeah, honestly, that is a chunck.
  2. You left out a very important fact: with Jake Cutler at QB. Even though they were only one game better, it is just not the same. Additionally, if they pay he right off the bat (which they must do to keep him happy) that is going to create problems at WR for this year. Which #1 receiver, Evans, Marshall or Owens are you going to tell to play the slot. Ignoring his personal problems and lets say the bills do want him, then fine, lets talk taboo here (unless someone mentioned earlier), that is, as part of the package trade Owen's to Denver along with the draft pick and another player. You void congestion at WR, eject 6.5 million in salary, and have two start receivers for the next 5 years, or so.
  3. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY WE NEED THE SEASON TO START!!!!!
  4. TG, every time this comes up I get pissed off. I was part of that vocal minority that was screaming a decade ago that we should be in with Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, and the Ravens should be in with the Jets, Phins and Pats.
  5. This. It is very true. What is also sometimes lost a little through the sands of time was how he helped the NE Patriots owner.
  6. Rubes, I can create a hypothetical out of anything...ANYTHING!
  7. If the Bills don't make the playoffs this year then this will be the only AFC team that did not make the playoffs this decade, with deference to the Texans. There is nothing "self fulfilling" about the comments here on this board. When your team stinks you complain about it. It is just that simple.
  8. I know generally teams (and coaches for that matter) don't like to have a coach going into a lame duck final season, and that the Bills really put themselves into a bad position by offering Jauron a new deal before the season really played itself out. However, if Jauron had lets say finished the season at 11-5, garnering only the second winning season of his career, in your opinion, do you think it would have been reasonable to assume that there would be such a ground swell by other NFL teams to sign Jauron that we seriously would have run the risk of losing him at the end of the season? I know it is not the only factor that goes into it, and many analysts had been sort of impressed with his back to back 7-9 seasons, but geez, do you think the team (players) was going to be upset by not having him signed in December? Do you think Jauron would have even pouted and said, "this is ridiculous, I'm outta here!"? Just venting, this team has a habit of doing that to you. BTW, Pat Williams still looks like he can play football and Winfield still looks like he was worth the money. ...just sayin'...this team/organization drives you crazy.
  9. Man, I love that commercial. I think my girlfriend hates that I won't blow by it with the DVR, but I just don't care, I have to see it whenever it comes on.
  10. I just want him to be in NE two weeks from this coming Monday.
  11. Great, now it's going to cost the Bills 60 million to keep Bell.
  12. You may be in the minority, but you are not alone, Peter. I really like the guy, think he is fun and adds a lot to the game.
  13. I do love the show and I've actually enjoyed every season they've done it. Man, does it get good (showing the human side of sports) when you get down to these last two weeks and the cut downs. BTW, seeing that Chad Johnson is the Bengals' disaster kicker and that Shane Graham was hurt changes some of the circumstances of heat that Ochocinco took from not only the local media but from NFL radio concerning his extra point kick and kick off.
  14. OK, but really, we are not going to start making comparison's between McGee and Darrel Green, are we? I agree with your numbers.
  15. Yeah I agree, and for some of the blatantly obvious reasons that we all know: he is really good on 3rd down, and seriously, the dude can block. He's not a #1 or 2, fine, I can live with that with what he provides above.
  16. Right there. Oh, and it was the Sklar brothers and I love when Jay Mohr guest hosts.
  17. Three to be exact, and 4 Conference Championship games if you throw in Rivers' (unless I'm missing one of Ben's); and how many playoff appearances? Pulling it off the top of my head I'm thinking 9 or 10. Not a bad total for those four guys... Seriously, my board brothers and sisters...and we wonder why we haven't been in the playoffs for 10 years.
  18. Crap, I didn't even think of that. Excellent call, my friend.
  19. Bullpen, your nominations are so noted, and as longs Ralph has enough B shares of stock to go around, they are welcome. May we also bring in Nick Bakay?
  20. Start lining up the celebrity minority owner's, Ralph: Christine Baranski (She's been everywhere in entertainment - stage, screen, television) Wendi Malick (from Just Shoot Me and Dream On) David Boreanez (OK, I know, he considers himself a Philly guy, but he knows where he and his father got there start) Jeffery Jones (Principle from Ferris Beuler's Day Off - yes he has gotten into some legal troubles, but beggars can't be choosers) Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill - hell, he still comes back for Bills games)
  21. Whatever problems we have with Trent Edwards right now are not going to be cured by Tyler Thigpen or either of the ghosts of David Humm or Joe Dufek.
