Sorry, another Jauron Thread
dollars 2 donuts replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rubes, I can create a hypothetical out of anything...ANYTHING! -
If the Bills don't make the playoffs this year then this will be the only AFC team that did not make the playoffs this decade, with deference to the Texans. There is nothing "self fulfilling" about the comments here on this board. When your team stinks you complain about it. It is just that simple.

I know generally teams (and coaches for that matter) don't like to have a coach going into a lame duck final season, and that the Bills really put themselves into a bad position by offering Jauron a new deal before the season really played itself out. However, if Jauron had lets say finished the season at 11-5, garnering only the second winning season of his career, in your opinion, do you think it would have been reasonable to assume that there would be such a ground swell by other NFL teams to sign Jauron that we seriously would have run the risk of losing him at the end of the season? I know it is not the only factor that goes into it, and many analysts had been sort of impressed with his back to back 7-9 seasons, but geez, do you think the team (players) was going to be upset by not having him signed in December? Do you think Jauron would have even pouted and said, "this is ridiculous, I'm outta here!"? Just venting, this team has a habit of doing that to you. BTW, Pat Williams still looks like he can play football and Winfield still looks like he was worth the money. ...just sayin'...this team/organization drives you crazy.

Man, I love that commercial. I think my girlfriend hates that I won't blow by it with the DVR, but I just don't care, I have to see it whenever it comes on.

Great, now it's going to cost the Bills 60 million to keep Bell. -
Bengals - not a good coaching staff

You may be in the minority, but you are not alone, Peter. I really like the guy, think he is fun and adds a lot to the game. -
Bengals - not a good coaching staff
dollars 2 donuts replied to Fewell733's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do love the show and I've actually enjoyed every season they've done it. Man, does it get good (showing the human side of sports) when you get down to these last two weeks and the cut downs. BTW, seeing that Chad Johnson is the Bengals' disaster kicker and that Shane Graham was hurt changes some of the circumstances of heat that Ochocinco took from not only the local media but from NFL radio concerning his extra point kick and kick off. -
Terrence McGee and Bills discussing

OK, but really, we are not going to start making comparison's between McGee and Darrel Green, are we? I agree with your numbers. -

Chris Brown speculates about the WRs
dollars 2 donuts replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah I agree, and for some of the blatantly obvious reasons that we all know: he is really good on 3rd down, and seriously, the dude can block. He's not a #1 or 2, fine, I can live with that with what he provides above. -
Right there. Oh, and it was the Sklar brothers and I love when Jay Mohr guest hosts.
-
Three to be exact, and 4 Conference Championship games if you throw in Rivers' (unless I'm missing one of Ben's); and how many playoff appearances? Pulling it off the top of my head I'm thinking 9 or 10. Not a bad total for those four guys... Seriously, my board brothers and sisters...and we wonder why we haven't been in the playoffs for 10 years.

Bullpen, your nominations are so noted, and as longs Ralph has enough B shares of stock to go around, they are welcome. May we also bring in Nick Bakay? -

Start lining up the celebrity minority owner's, Ralph: Christine Baranski (She's been everywhere in entertainment - stage, screen, television) Wendi Malick (from Just Shoot Me and Dream On) David Boreanez (OK, I know, he considers himself a Philly guy, but he knows where he and his father got there start) Jeffery Jones (Principle from Ferris Beuler's Day Off - yes he has gotten into some legal troubles, but beggars can't be choosers) Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill - hell, he still comes back for Bills games) -
Tyler Thigpen

Whatever problems we have with Trent Edwards right now are not going to be cured by Tyler Thigpen or either of the ghosts of David Humm or Joe Dufek. -
OK, that's funny. Thank you, SiC.

This really could help a lot of the out towners and those of us who can't get enough football. -
As much as i wanted to get worried about it I couldn't agree more, Magox. Lets see the fires burn a little bit more from these players and coaches.

Fred Jackson leaves practice with injury
dollars 2 donuts replied to cmjoyce113's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely agree that it did not have anything to do with it. Man, how F'd up was that, CC, when Rusty left? Then when you hear Reuben Brown talk about Rusty he mentions how much they loved him in Chicago. Why'd ya do it, Coach Mike? Just so you could replace a highly rated veteran coach with a buddy of yours? -

Seriously, though, Cave, on a side note regardless of injuries, does this seem like one of the most well conditioned teams you've seen in the league the last few years? After the Mularky debacle that sent Rusty away, how has their conditioning been? -
Cowher should be a realistic option for Bills
dollars 2 donuts replied to Pitta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
BD, absolutely right, however: 1. The Pittsburgh football organization is a far cry from the Buffalo program. 2. Don't you think that if he gets back into coaching the second time around that he would want a little different situation...in other words, money to get players? Do we really, honestly think a coach of his stature is saying to himself: "Man, if I get back into this I truly would like to go to another cash strapped organization in a dying Northeastern town, b/c, with my kids mostly grown, I would not want to dream of living in places like Tampa, Dallas, Chicago, Denver, San Diego, Washington or New York." I live in Buffalo, I love Buffalo, I'm just sayin. -

dollars 2 donuts replied to Pitta's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would love it, Pitta, but lets just say he did, and honestly lets say he gives Cowher a 5 year, 35 million dollar deal...what happens when Cowher wants to chase after free agents and make his team better? Are the Bills going to open up the pocket book? Does Cowher even believe that they are going to open up the pocket book? The reality of today is that a coach like Cowher is going to go where the money is, and not just for himself.
