  1. And I am glad the Bills respected him enough to essentially say, "we appreciate you and here's seven figures a year." It was important to sign that guy and keep him happy.
  2. Oh, how wrong you are Joe; we go 10-6 and Jauron gets offered the newly vacated Notre Dame job, Gruden becomes HC and AVP stays at OC. Man, you guys, you should see the colors in my world!
  3. DarthICE, I was furious last night and my new name could be Capt. Pessimism...but, if we get to 1-4 after five games, then I'll let my emotions sink...just not yet, though.
  4. BTW, dare I hijack my own thread (oh who am I kidding, it's "our" thread ) and go to the second half, but I'm thinking 4-4 there...so, 10-6 maybe, 9-7 fine (hey-hey, we're winners!) or 8-8.
  5. Yeah, Fingon, I could live that too, and I see that as a strong possibility.
  6. @New England - L Tampa - W Saints - W (this is truly the one that worries me) @Miami - W Cleveland - W @ Jets - L @ Panthers - W Houston - W - at worst, I think we are 4-4 at the break (Saints, Panthers - if Jake turns it around) Yes, I was ready to be the pessimist today...but what the hell.
  7. I agree with and unfortunately remember all the points made in this thread. However, nothing was more appropriate than BB5's.
  8. Sorry, faith, I really was just kidding. I don't know why he's here.
  9. I have to pat myself on the back: three straight posts with absolutely nothing worthwhile or serious to say. Gentlemen, my brain has gone to mush.
  10. Umm, excuse me, what do you think we have Chuck Lester for?
  11. Hey, when you get a bad haircut you buy a hat.
  12. If it wasn't for the sped up clock in my Madden 10 game last night I would have been getting plays off in 10-15 seconds. Sure, I lost to my buddy, playing as the Steelers at Heinze field, but Trent was able to move the ball for me and at least I put up 34 points...lost 34-35 trying for a two pointer with 22 seconds left. Go for the win, baby! If I can do it, the Bills most certainly can do it. And that, gents, is how you interject your own pathetic life into the bigger story of the day.
  13. Caine Mutiny, and yes, a good point.
  14. OK, I did not think I was going to get trumped.
  15. So says you, murra. The way I'm hearing it is that he was fired weeks ago, but the bills paid him extra to look like he was the OC. Sneaky, bast***s, Bellichek has nothing on these guys.
  16. Is Kelsey still on the team?
  17. Dude, I've been waiting two years for someone on this board to bring that guy back. I salute and bow to you, sir. I do, indeed.
  18. I've said this before; I don't care that he doesn't win in the Playoffs as we haven't even gone there in a decade and I don't care that he is at the age of retirement, we could do so much worse than Shotzy as our coach. Let Marty build a winner her before he takes his final bow in this League.
  19. Correct me if I am wrong, but for us Directv subscribers that means we would lose about 7 sabres games? Was that it? I thought I heard that's how many games we had on versus this year. 8.5% of Sabres games, all in HD - gone...yeah, honestly, that is a chunck.
  20. You left out a very important fact: with Jake Cutler at QB. Even though they were only one game better, it is just not the same. Additionally, if they pay he right off the bat (which they must do to keep him happy) that is going to create problems at WR for this year. Which #1 receiver, Evans, Marshall or Owens are you going to tell to play the slot. Ignoring his personal problems and lets say the bills do want him, then fine, lets talk taboo here (unless someone mentioned earlier), that is, as part of the package trade Owen's to Denver along with the draft pick and another player. You void congestion at WR, eject 6.5 million in salary, and have two start receivers for the next 5 years, or so.
  21. FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY WE NEED THE SEASON TO START!!!!!
  22. TG, every time this comes up I get pissed off. I was part of that vocal minority that was screaming a decade ago that we should be in with Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, and the Ravens should be in with the Jets, Phins and Pats.
  23. This. It is very true. What is also sometimes lost a little through the sands of time was how he helped the NE Patriots owner.
