Sorry, guys, just bumping this back up, because I think its kind of a good, quick reference to the guys in the draft.

You guys don't mind if I jump on this bandwagon, do you? I think there is value to be had and I think this team should spread it around. I would be very pleased with three picks in the top 60.

Stucky, ya know what makes the $$$ grab more annoying in this instance? The fact that nobody, NOBODY, in the NFL hiearchy that made this decision can look around the room when they were making it, and say with a straight face, "Man, the fans are going to love this. This is a win-win, and they've earned it. I'm glad we are saving them from their Saturday/Sunday get togethers and draft parties with friends. Hats off, everybody!" They knew we were going to hate this. I mean they really, really knew.

Yeah, Mike, honestly I think they would still draft a LT. Flozell is not a long term answer, just a stopgap. Edit: I stand by my point, regardless of what the article says.

Well...I'm really not going to jump all over Charlie Ward for "not doing anything in the NFL". That's like saying John Elway really didn't do anything in the Yankees organization. It's true but its not the point.

Very few words there, Doc, but so much to the point...that is really, really what scares me about this kid. Look, I don't want us to mess up on a draft pick but I would rather mess up on a draft pick then pay big bucks (and a draft pick) to a players who after he gets his 8 figure bonus checks decides he's really not that into football anymore. ...or worse yet a guy who we give millions to, plays poorly, and then ends up watching film of Baltimore games in the locker room after Bills' losses, thinking how much he misses the Ravens. Yeah, I don't know about you guys but that still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

That was a classic. I think a swallowed that kool-aid for a brief time, as well.

The Haslett and Smerlas show was raw and real and such good stuff for the times. Man, I do remember it fondly...and it did kind of stink when you would hear Smerlas rip the team, city and fans during his years on the radio. PTR is right, Smerlas' comments did make the rounds here at TSW.

I am not as down on Leinart as most of the people are around here. I can't help it, i just saw some amazing things from him during that preseason game against GB. That being said, if you're Arizona, why in the world are you not all over the prospect of bringing McNabb out West, especially if you are not going to have to mortgage your future to do it?

Ya know, I hate to say this b/c everyone refers to him as a "gamer", BUT doesn't McNabb seem to get hurt a lot? Throw that in with being 33 years old and I think it is a little optimistic for people to view this guy as having 3-5 years (let alone even productive years, at that) left. Spice it up with some bad Bills OL play and I just don't think it is a good mix.

Am I allowed to be the +4 with 2k5? Hey, great arguments here with tecmo and 2k1 thrown in as well. The football gaming landscape would just be so much better if both Madden and 2k were making the games. I know this is a crazy idea in a free market society, but sometimes, competition does make the end product better for both games/products. ...but that's a secret so don't tell anyone.

I hear ya, CB, and I agree with you, but what is lost a little bit in the story is that Tebow should keep such things to himself but the simple request (not order, request) he made was responded to by a shut the *&*%-up...is that a pitch perfect appropriate response?
