  1. BufJ, I would have thought so, too, with Wire, but from what a friend of mine is telling me they really like him, I believe down in Atlanta...team leader and such.
  2. I love it eball...not as much as I love your avatar, but I still love it.
  3. Good article. I really liked Fewell, but hated the 4-3, and honestly, I didn't think he was ready to be a head coach. EDIT: I should say not ready to be a head coach for a team that is in the state that the Bills are in. I very much could see him taking over the Giants in a year or two.
  4. I second all three of your points, Cash: - Good for Harris - Like him a lot - and would have preferred him over Ellison. It used to be when guys left Buffalo their careers would sputter and it seemed like a good move. However, that was prior to the "aughts" and guys like Williams, Bannon, Leonhard, Wire, Fletcher, etc.
  5. I love learning stuff on this board. Seriously, thank you, SEP, I did not know that.
  6. I'm little worried that Jackson might start the season on the P.U.P. list, due to the fact that Lynch may not be ready by the opener but we need additional RBs behind Spiller. It would stink to have Jackson miss any time, but having him miss 6 weeks as a result of being put on the P.U.P. list out of necessity? Pretty darn stinky.
  7. Yeah, i never want to see any of our guys hurt, but an injury that keeps his legs fresh...i'll take it.
  8. Deano, I'm Italian and Sicilian as well! Sicilian on my mothers side; my father always said he slept with one eye open. Yeah, contrary to what Metzellars posted early, this is one red dog conservative republican who very much agrees that the name is offensive...i don't know if it will ever be changed, but i don't have any problem if it does.
  9. I know he is still alive but IF Sam Gash was dead, he'd be rolling over in his grave right now. ...that was one back who loved hitting people.
  10. Buffalokie I have to give you props on this thread for a few different reasons which don't always come up on this Board. 1. You took something that I haven't really thought about before and hasn't really been discussed on this Board a lot, namely the schedule anomaly; 2. Then you analytically broke it down into a set of facts and comparisons around the league; 3. Then you tied it in to a fact concerning the Bills' schedule; 4. And then you finished with why it is important (or could be) to the Bills' season. Seriously, dude, nice. I was expecting nothing when I came in and instead I went: "OK, didn't know that..." "Interesting..." "Good point..." "True!" Honestly, a very purposeful and thought out post.
  11. Well, I guess the questions is, as is usually the case with careers that are so short (for example, Gayle Sayers), are his numbers good enough to get him into the Hall?
  12. NFL radio was commenting on the fact that with their injuries the Ravens need DB(s). Last time i checked, we have DBs, so ya never know.
  13. Sage, buddy, that is awesome!
  14. Yeah, believe me, he lost me in other parts of his rant, but that one stuck out like a sore thumb. A silly argument when you consider the Forbes article had the Bills at, I believe, 907 million, with gross revenue of 222 million, oh, and by the way, Adam, they have absolutely no debt. ...And although I am not suggesting this, but if the Bills were to raise ticket prices by 10% I don't think you would see any drop-off in attendance. I would hope that a writer would find it hard to beat up on a Town that continues to sellout its stadium 10 years after its last playoff appearance.
  15. That's interesting. Thank you, Icansleep. It would be a little funny if Ralph finally said to himself, "man, I am not going to be around forever, I should take care of this...I'll take a nap first."
  16. He should get something, but man, as many have stated on this board, I am baffled at the money dolled out to DBs in this league.
  17. More than once, you guys, I have commented on what I thought, and still think, of Wade as a head coach. Should he still be HC of the Bills. No. However, after 8 season as an NFL head coach, you don't have just one losing season, one .500 season, two division titles, 5 playoff appearances and playoff appearances with 3 different teams by being just an ordinary coach. I honestly think the Cowboys have a shot this year, but forgive me for digressing from the thread topic.
  18. OK, so I am going to hijack my thread here a little bit and I have brought this up before; can you guys envision the possibility that this team could have a worse record than last year, lets say 5-11, but you are more satisfied with their direction based upon the coaching and what you see on the field?
  19. Color me surprised as much as everyone else. Yeah, I was one of those who thought he had an outside chance of making this team.
  20. WEO, honestly I did debate that, but I would call it just a generally conglomeration of the seeming fact based upon my observation that over the last few months the normally bi**** members of TSW (myself included) generally have had little if nothing really bad to say about Gailey. Which is a nice change from the previous regime. Additionally, as I sort of stated, this isn't a final grade, this is just so far. EDIT: Problems sleeping? I just got married, so in a way, yeaaahhhhhh.
  21. I mean, seriously, it is just kind of good to hear when you consider the degree to which most of us disagree!
  22. OK, Jerry, not being a word maven here, the one thing I want to say is I really, really, really, really, REALLY, was hoping to see what this kid could do this year and I truly hope it is not season ending injury. Fingers crossed for Easley.
  23. A vote of confidence to a unit and staff that probably badly needs it. The most basic executive training techniques tells you to encourage your staff and compliment them when you think they are doing a good job. I see nothing wrong with this. Don't get me wrong, i am not about to start calling Gailey "Uncle Cuddles", however, I still think it is an appreciated move on his part to his staff...that he believes in them, is with them and will stand by them.
  24. I mean keeping in mind everything that was said previously with coaching choices for this team (which by the grace of everything holy we won't rehash here ), it generally seems most everyone on TSW kinda likes the guy. Yes, no games, even preseason, have been played as of yet, but his general demeanor, the way he runs camp, the way he runs fitness training, the coaches he has brought in, the plans he has in place have really, REALLY just been met with general approval by the masses. I know I am stating the obvious with respect to the above, however, I really didn't even start to dwell on it until this morning and when you get right down to it what it means to me is I really like the direction of the leadership of this team. Sure, we will curse him the first time he throws the ball on 4th and 1, and for not pulling out the red flag when we think he should. ...but I like this guy and I like what he is doing with this team. That's it, nothing more. Go Bills.
  25. Man, I approve of this thread, even more than the other one. I mean I really, really do.
