  1. I go to church every Sunday. I am uncomfortable about praying for victory because personally I think it is a little much to ask that of God for such a trivial thing. If I pray for anything game wise it is that no one gets hurt and they play to their abilities. Additionally, like Millbank, I pray for everyone's safety. My prayer list is filled and very unfortunately and very sadly, lately with children who have leukemia and cancer.
  2. Buf says "How do you?" To Chan Gaileys' Bills debut ... easy on the "boos" I know haikus don't have to rhyme, that was just a bonus.
  3. If asked by the Bills (however unlikely) any 10 board members here would gather together and take time off of our jobs from now until Sunday to work on a game plan, probably forgoing sleep and without pay. ...but honestly, they would have to throw in donuts. Dedicted? Lets load this b@h up and get this season started! GO BILLS!!!
  4. frogger, I got excited reading your post. I hadn't thought about it a lot recently (although i cursed the Tampa 2 almost since we switched to it), but you are right and if you don't mind I'm going to ditto your points, because I also think we can achieve what you are stating, but be reasonable in thinking we'll get to about 5 wins. However, I want to add one thing to your post...and that is a similar attitude on offense and I am not just talking about shoving the ball down someone's throat but also long runs by Spiller that make them cry.
  5. Fixed that for ya, NT!
  6. Just a note: we were 6-10 last year.
  7. Man, I don't know. I've been saying that I see them going 5-11, but not necessarily being disappointing. However, I have had some optimism about them being 7-9 if everything falls right. I think I'd take the under but I would love it if I were wrong.
  8. Funny thing is I don't rate either the line or the pass rush as our biggest concern heading into the season. ...our LBs stink and some of them are just DEs playing out of position.
  9. With all due respect to some of you who brought up the economy, do you really think that if the Bills were coming off a 10-6 season last year and we won at least one playoff game that there would be any (ANY) hesitation by these fans to buy the crap out of those tickets and sellout the whole season? ...this is definitely NOT one of those scenarios where "its the economy, stupid!".
  10. Man, Marv, I couldn't agree with you more. That was the felling amongst my group of friends, as well.
  11. As I mentioned last week: Besides my first game, that was the first "never forget game" in my Bills fandom. ...and I got that feeling we might do it again.
  12. You betcha it was. One of the three greatest games I was at as a Bills fan, along with 51-3 and The Comeback (yes I was there, I was in a box so there was no reason to leave when I had pizza wings to drowned my halftime sorrows ) EDIT: Superbowl 25 should have been one of them, buuuutttt. Honestly, from where I was sitting at Tampa Stadium, for a moment, it looked good.
  13. hmmm...I'm sorry, I'm just remember back to opening 30 years ago next Tuesday, when the heavily favored Dolphins came in to start the season and got surprised by an upstart Bills team that wasn't expected to do much.
  14. Dog, I swear to you I still don't think he made that mistake. I truly think he is covering up for his receiver running the wrong route, and if that is the case that shows some damn fine leadership in putting it on his own shoulders.
  15. TB, MD69, APoV, I'm with all of you on your comments.
  16. Is it too much to ask for just one aging, overpriced tackle that everyone else is done with who is most likely better than either of our starting tackles to be signed to a one year deal? I hope not. We could use one right about now. EDIT: I'm not even saying he has to start, we just need a competent back-up in case someone goes down, and i swear to you as important as that position is I don't know why it is worth a few million to this team for one guy, for one year.
  17. First, that's all I needed to hear. Second, some of you guys are really going to have to come to grips with the fact that Edwards is playing some pretty good ball lately. I am not trying to judge anybody, but come on, the guy hasn't been "OK" during the preseason he actually has been "pretty good" so lets see how he does this season, because if he doesn't work out this year, we know what we are doing in the draft next year.
  18. Yeah, I mean I am pretty much indifferent to Brohm, but I still think we keep the three that we have and Levi goes to the practice squad. I'll say this for the third time and I know many of you know it, but here it goes anyways: if someone takes Brown off of our practice squad they have to put him on their 53 man roster...which is kind of big move to make at the start of the season with another teams 4th QB. yes, I know he has to make it to the PS, meaning pass through waivers, but still, I don't think he is a threat at being picked up.
  19. Through 6 rounds nobody picked Brown and now someone is going to sign him to their 53 man roster after 5 months of training in the Buffalo Bills highly regarded QB clinic? No. He'll be safe on the PS. I'm not saying Brohm makes it, but I don't think he disappears due to Brown.
  20. Cut Jones, Hardy, and Roosevelt Practice Squad Roosevelt Starting receivers are Evans and Johnson, but I would not hesitate to rotate Nelson in for Johnson. As well he is the 4th receiver in. Parrish is the slot receiver.
  21. I believe also they talked about their first 3 games being difficult but once they get by that they can really open things up. Yeah, I'm thinking them, as well.
  22. Still debating about whether to go or not. I really want to support the Bulls and I am very tempted and I could DVR the Bills game. Thank you for the update, PTR.
  23. Agreed, NT. I actually go a step further and say what I've said before and that is if the Bills do go 5-11 they will be a better "team" than the 6-10 that ended the season last year. However, and I know we hate this record, but I'm holding out for 7-9.
  24. Man, you guys, talk about "locking on" did you watch the replay of the Corner interception for a TD? It seemed like Palmer (v.2) couldn't stop looking at his receiver from the moment they broke the huddle. It's like he owed him money or something.
  25. Your two cents are worth a lot more than you think, Pilsy. ...but at the very least we got 4 cents off of your post.
