Bills +6 Against The Fish
dollars 2 donuts replied to IDBillzFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No. I love the Bills and even love the chances, but I be honest with you I think one of the more underrated teams this season, regardless of their record, has been Phins. They are a tough out for anybody who plays them. -
Fitzpatrick wears a wedding ring on the field....

Ok. Flutie or Johnson? -
I love how this running for the bus Bills team has the same record as the Jets (3-2) since the midpoint of the season. Jumba I with you on this one. However, I am always with them when it comes to actually winning. Sorry draftniks.

Our wang will be used this game

WSS, you officially get the credit. With Wang, Wood and Levitre in there do the announcers even dare touch that nick-name? (no pun intended). -
Nick Fairley - DE/DT Auburn
dollars 2 donuts replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man, I hope so, BC; the Bengals are so close to winning a game it is making me sick. After that, all we need is a win by Detroit. I love our Bills but now we are at the point where they are just decimated by injuries. -
Nick Fairley - DE/DT Auburn

Yes, there is something bad about this guy...he'll be gone by the time we pick 4th. -

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see your guesses come true. -
Eric Wood to start at Center this week.

I know there are a ton of other reasons why we would go back in time that are more important than football, BUT how great would it be to go back to the Bills' War Room in 2006 and put the notion in Levy's and Modrack's ears, "Mangold, not McCargo...;Mangold, not McCargo." Hell, while we are at it, might as well power up the flux capacitor a little more to a couple of hours earlier and whisper, "Ngata, not Whitner...Ngata, not Whitner." -
I'll 2nd most of that, Nostra. Plus, I didn't really get Coach's point as the OP never said everything was as a result of Evans.

I believe if he would have retired before this year it would have been the same thing, as he threw the INT in his last appearance in the playoffs last year. Additionally, I believe his last throw as a Falcon was an INT, as well.

Will the Bills turn into a FA magnet?
dollars 2 donuts replied to Pilsner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You know what, Pils, in short, if we finish the season 4-7 (since the bye) and non of our 7 losses is by more than 3 points (3 losses to go) I think some free agents still looking to get paid mind you, are going to be saying, "hmmm, what's going on there?". Is it great? No. Is it much better than avoiding this franchise like the plague? Damn straight it is. -
To be AT LEAST 9-7 in 2011

Dork, Bagel on these boards would love ya. He almost told me the exact same thing via e-mail. Now that I have thought about it for a bit and consulted with bagel i can give my opinion: ILB OLB - pass rusher OT - quality, not all-pro gets us to 9-7. As bagel had requested, "what gets us to 12-4?" TE - that can block and catch DE - pass and rush Sorry JH...a dominant C Yes, I honestly think 6 guys gets you to 12-4. Some might say that is a lot, but I don't think it is too many it is more than achievable for this team in 2 years. These guys don't have to be the best in the league, just better than what we have and of pretty good quality. ...well, I would like the pass rushers to be quite good. -
I know others have commented the same but I HAVE to chime in. It is absolutely baffling.

To be AT LEAST 9-7 in 2011
dollars 2 donuts replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny, Albany, I just e-mailed that to a friend of mine. However, I differ a little with your opinion in that I don't find the NFC East all THAT impressive...good, but not great, and I will take the improving AFC West b/c they are still the "not very good" AFC West. Yes, I want a piece of Oakland and Denver, i know what KC is like and we still almost beat them and the Chargers are coming around again like they always do, but that is a changing team, none the less. Recap as of now: All 9 teams we've lost to have winning records. 7 of those nine teams are 7-4 or better. 5 of those teams, more than half our losses, are to teams 8-3 or better. Current AFC West: KC 7-4 SD 6-5 Oak 5-6 Den 3-8 Current AFC North: Bal 8-3 Pit 8-3 Cle 4-7 Cin 2-9 -
NFL has $900M set aside for CBA negotiations
dollars 2 donuts replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Beerball, that is juicy stuff. Thank you. hmmm, if all the Board members pooled their spare resources together I wonder how much money our lockout chest would be? -
Sorry, I can't speculate right now as i am headed into a meeting, but you guys tell me to at least get to 9-7 what we would need. Not a Super Bowl team, mind you, just 9-7. For a quick example: three players - OT, pass rushing LB, DE...something like that. If you have a name, go for it. If you think the guys we have are getting good enough now without any changes, with due consideration to an easier schedule next year, feel free to shout that out, too.

I'm sorry I didn't read the whole thread, but don't the Lions and Bengals pick ahead of us, all three of us being 2-9 and the Bills having beat both? meaning right now we draft 4th.

Did George Edwards sit down with Wade Phillips
dollars 2 donuts replied to 1B4IDie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hey, I would love it if Edwards could keep turning things around and I know Wade would never come back, BUT, in this day and age in the NFL, Wade is worth near head coach money to be a DC, the same Greg Williams is in New Orleans. -
Steve Johnson Should Not Blame God

There has not been a shorter, more direct or truer statement than above that I have seen on this forum in recent memory. Especially with respect to something as silly as this that has been going on now for 3 days and even made the Drudge Report. The guy was upset, enough already. -
Second best. The exception being Wade Phillips' 10-6 rookie record and playoff appearance, following the Bills' 6-10 campaign of Marv's last year. EDIT: I get what you're saying, if you mean that Mularkey had never previously been a coach and Phillips had. However, It was still Wade's first year as Buffalo coach.

It is not IMPOSSIBLE but just very unlikely. Would I be surprised about 5-11, 5-3 in the back half of the season? No, not with the way this team is playing and i would be pretty proud of these guys. EDIT: Hell, there is an outside chance this 0-8 starting team could be 5-9 before heading into the last two weeks of the season.
