None of our edge rushers are very consistent. Constantly getting pushed wayyyy up field. We are really gonna need Eddy O to have a big game

Va, honestly, I am pretty calm about this game.  Not in arrogance, but just calm.

However, I will most certainly be PO'd if we walk out of this game with something like 3 sacks for 8 yards and Burrows lighting us up because we could not get to him.

All the picks, all the free agents and you lose Von Miller a couple of months ago and you turn into the sisters of the poor trying to put a pass rush on?

    Please.  Will not be happy.

I find it fascinating that Brown was SO excellent as a calm, concise, and controlled reporter for BB.com for so many years, someone I really appreciated, and then suddenly his performances on One Bills Live took on this hyperbolic, animated, shrill tone that caught us all off guard...

And now this loud, excitable, shrill persona might actually be effective on the radio play-by-play? I believe it. Especially given Wood's super flat affect, the Bills need an animated play-by-play guy.

"OK, let's turn it over to Chris Brown, high atop High Mark Stadium with the call for today's Bills-Bengals divisional round playoff game.  Brownie, take it away."

Clayboy, we need to help that guy out, too.  Dang it that has just been going on for too long.

Life sucks so bad when you are on the edge of being entitled to a lot of money, but then have to go out and ask others to help you just to get over that hump.

Stunning figures but the Divisional scheduling just confuses me more off the back of it. The Bengals-Bills game, with all the background surrounding it, which is sure to grab neutral interest, gets given an afternoon slot? Despite the Bills drawing in the viewers?

To put it simply, I don’t understand that. Plus, why not have the two AFC games play on the same day and the two NFC games play on the same day? As it is, the number one seeds, already coming off a bye, also get an advantage of an extra day’s break too (dependent on whether they beat the Jaguars/Giants).

    To me:

    Saturday afternoon: Jaguars-Chiefs

    Saturday primetime: Bengals-Bills

    Sunday afternoon: Giants-Eagles

    Sunday primetime: Cowboys or Buccaneers-49ers

    would make more sense.

Sunday...maybe the most watched Sunday division round in League history.

The most watched Monday night game in 22 years, which was never finished, is now a playoff game?

Followed by one of the great playoff rivalries (just being honest) of all time being renewed and it isn't just in name only with both teams being pretty good, equal to the highest win total of the weekend...which is the game played earlier that afternoon.

I am unwavering in this now as I have been for many years of my life.

What is my all time favorite sports period?

Without blinking...the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.  Always has been, always will be.

    GO BILLS!

Just checked it out. Chargers and Dolphins hardest teams they beat. Their toughest team on the schedule, Chiefs, they got crushed.

Thank you, Realist.  I apologize that it was lazy of me not to link to their schedule.  I had checked this out over the weekend.  I was just running around, though, at the time I posted earlier.

I love the Niners, but right?  Right?!

The Cowboys are dodgy, but at least they will be a real test.  I will not rule out an upset here.

I'm not sold on the 49ers quite yet. Nor do I think that D is as great as portrayed.

They have beaten some bad teams lately. Some not so great offenses and less than stellar QB's.

KC & Vegas went up and down the field on that D.

same convo with a friend, BF89.

In actuality, I believe, the best team they’ve beaten all year…has been the Chargers on November 13th.  🤨 Everyone needs to check out their schedule.

lol i totally disagree.  I think he’s absolutely terrible.  Just yells and says stupid sayings after a big play.  There’s a reason he’s just a fill in

I really like Chris...but man, I kind of lean this way.  I don't think he is terrible, but his "sayings" are so forced and cringeworthy and he is a bit shouty.

I was honestly half expecting, "AND THE DOLPHINS MAY HAVE THOUGHT THEY WERE IN A PREVENT DEFENSE, BUT THAT DIDN'T PREVENT DIGGS FROM HALLING IN THE LONG BALL DOWN THE SIDELINE!", or something equally goofy.

    He'll get better, though.

  8. Look, it is my understanding that even a number of higher end Falcons season tickets holders will get dibs on tickets for this game.

I know a guy.  He's actually a prince...a prince of a guy, really.  He has access to 50 yard line and suite level tickets for the AFC Championship game, but he's fallen on a little bit of hard times.  If someone is just able to send him $2,000 per ticket (he has access to 10) it will help him get his feet under himself.

The good news is the tickets would only actually be $250 a piece and you would get all your extra money back, which would be a steal for a Bills AFC Championship game, but again, to get things situated now it is going to have to be the $20,000 for the 10 tickets, up front. This guy would be very grateful and take you out to dinner in Atlanta on the Saturday night before the game, on him, if you are in town.

This is too sweet a deal to pass up and I am only telling you guys about it so please don't blow this thing up.

I'll forward the e-mail to all interested parties for this too good to be true Bills championship game opportunity a little later.

  9. I'll say it again, I was never worried we were going to lose at anytime and it is the most calm I have been through a game with some adversity in it all season.

That said...guys, the Bills and Dolphins have got the mojo of a rivalry back again.

3 games.  2 point loss, 3 point victory on the final play, 3 point victory in the playoffs.  4 points separated these teams in 3 games, all year.

We could have won all three, and honestly we could have lost all three.

THAT is what brings a rivalry to life.  There has to be even just a bit of anxiety that you would lose to the other team.

    Good stuff.

    Go Bills.

Give me a 45-42 victory against the Bengals, but we give up two returns for TDs (so there are built in excuses for some of the play).

Magic happens in mayhem and I love seeing those digits fly by.  BTW, in the scenario above Josh throws for 375 and has 3 passing and 1 rushing TD.

Cook gallops for a 38 yarder, too!

EDIT:  Anyone ever hear a Jaguars fan wax poetic about their 10-3 win over us in the 2017 Playoff?

    of course not.

  11.

Tell me if we had won yesterday 20-3 we would be having as much fun going back and forth getting ready for this game against Cincy as we are right now?

    I think not.

God bless it, I'll take that 34-31 victory over the spare parts Dolphins with so many memories, mostly good but some bad for the sake of stories and conjecture.

    I love it.

    Go Bills!

I can’t see us winning this game.  Bills have been playing poorly for the final 2/3 of the season.  They are a good team so they win even tho they play poorly.  And that Miami game - wow.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen the Bills play a worse game and still win.  Maybe a few losses this year would have woken this team up and they could have refocused?

we will have to see an entirely different team take the field this week, or I think we lose big.  Miami was dreadful and we were lucky to win.  I was embarrassed to be wearing bills gear at a bar watching that Miami debacle.   We play even a little like that v the bengals and it’ll be 50-13

ok, we’ll…I’m a little more optimistic than glass half shattered guy here, but you do make accurate points, PP.

can the Bills overcome them?  That’s the question.

Are we telling ourselves as of Monday that next weekend there will be no turnovers, good protection, Josh taking obvious plays and our pass rush actually getting in to cause heat on Burroughs, all the while making tackles on 3rd or 4th down?

Even without any of that we have been able to win, but these Bengals are just a different animal. We win a lot.  They do, too, and something’s gotta give.

    Go Bills!

Then you’re straight up wrong, lil fella. There is no argument to be made that the Bills were better down the stretch leading into the playoffs last season. They almost ended up as a wild card. The game against the Falcons was uglier than any Bills win this season.

Agree to disagree on me being 100% right.

I would encourage you to review how the Bills finished the regular season last year. After a solid victory in New England they finished the season with two ugly wins against the Falcons and the Jets. It wasn’t pretty. How the Bills played in the playoffs last year has warped a lot of people’s memories including yours.

Ironically it was the 2020 team that really finished the regular season on a roll only to squeak past lower seeds in the first two rounds of the playoffs.

From 7-6 through to 13 seconds. I’m very cognizant of what I said and how I said it, son.*

(* it sounds dickish but I really don’t mean it that way, brother Wraith.  It just read cool the way I wrote it!  😂. I hear ya!)

Same...however at the end I knew it could have gone either way.   I think its just because in my mind...when push came to shove they wern't going to let Skylar beat them

    Yes, yes, yes…I agree, Kid.

The other weird thing in my head was, IF they lost, ok then, but I want someone accountable for what happened.  Not fired, per se, but to take stock.

I think the way they stopped those runs the Dolphins were hurting them with last game was very noticeable. Fins did almost nothing on the ground.

They were not because when games were close they lost all of them. This year they won the vast majority.

In the playoffs you'll play far more close games than blowouts.

Won’t argue with that one from you, Turk.  It is a solid point.

    I'm still just weary.

weird thing…no lie whatsoever…I was NEVER worried during this game.  However, I just note the flaws.

They are not as good as last year.  Josh is not playing as well, and to me a lot of that is because we miss Daboll.

Yes, the 11-6 team was better than this 13-3.

I am not being sarcastic.  I absolutely agree, and especially the way they ramped it up at the end of last season.  Continuity with Dabol and Frazier (spelling) was timely.  13 seconds didn’t cost us a trip to the afc championship as much as I think it cost us super bowl title. The opportunity to win it all was missed last year.

  18.

Side tid bit…Allen wins today and he will have defeated the Miami Dolphins more times than any other team in his career.  9-2.

    I like that.

Bills would also be 17-3 against their division opponents this decade: Phins 6-1, Pats 6-1, Jets 5-1.
