  1. As some of the Buffalo Pro-football historians will mention around here...we got screwed...royally. When the league folded around 1950 the NFL took the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Colts and, by all accounts, should have taken the Buffalo Bills - a reasonably successful and very well supported franchise with many national supporters... ...so of course they took San Francisco.
  2. They still have to beat...the #3 team!
  3. Isn't funny, I mean if we were a baseball team and through 40 games we were lets say 28-12...can you imagine anyone in the sport not taking us seriously? EDIT: ...and by the way, why is it lost on people that two of the teams we beat would be undefeated, but for losing to us?
  4. I just really like the fact that someone had the respect to say that it isn't really as much how they feel, but that the term really earned there way into that position.
  5. Bumped b/c I can't believe, especially on this Board, that no one cares even to look in on a thread where someone nationally puts us in the top 3.
  6. I have my brother-in-law's stag and we are all going to be watching the game. However, if I wasn't I'd be down there. I think that's a pretty good stadium. I have been there a few times before. ...and oh the seats we that would be available!
  7. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/powerrankings Does he think the Lions (2) and the Bills (3) are the 2nd and 3rd best teams in the NFL? No. ...but they earned their way there.
  8. Actually, Scrappy, it is January of 1989 for the AFC Championship game. The Bills did lose a regular season game a few weeks before in the '88 season. Suffice it to say...it is a really long time.
  9. Would anyone trade him right now for Cutler?
  10. Like most of the others here I am fine with that and kind of knew it was going to be the case headed into today. My problem, though, is with other 2-1 teams that might be ranked ahead of us and Matty I think the Lions are great, but I agree with you...they have more to prove 3 games in now than we do.
  11. ...but my father would have loved yesterday. Still, I knew he was in Heaven with a big screen TV, getting up from his comfy chair with a football in his hands, unable to sit for the last part of the game...like me; and after the Bills win he slapped his hands together with a big smile on his face and went to the table to have some homemade sauce and meatballs that my mom made. ...and even though it is Heaven for her too, I don't think my mom minded making sauce for him one bit. GO BILLS!
  12. Two helpings, jr, to those who said before the season that the lockout would especially hurt teams like Buffalo.
  13. I was going to post this Cereal...man, this is huge news for next weeks game.
  14. I like your optimism hondo, but as I said in the other thread, 10-6 will NOT get you in. The Bills will have to be 11-5. Does anyone think the Jets and Ravens will be hovering around 9-7? ...No.
  15. I kinda like this one. ...well, I don't like it, but it is probably accurate.
  16. I love that fact and I love when that comes up. In world history with respect to misunderstandings it ranks right up there with the Immaculate Conception. ...welllll, they're not side by side.
  17. I agree with the 4-1, but I gotta tell ya, NS, and it pains me to say it but I think 7-4 (11-5) will be necessary this year in the AFC to make the playoffs. Assuming they are the wild card contenders I think the Jets and Ravens (yes they beat the Steelers but badly hiccuped against Tenn.) will easily get to at least 10-6 this season.
  18. Chandemonium, for the past few days that image has been in my head; the one about the Pats driving to tie or go ahead and the Bills picking them off for 6. ...you and I would make great Hollywood directors!
  19. BTW, it just wouldn't be the Buffalo Bills if we were not stock piling guys (3 so far this year) on injured reserves. ...guys, this has to stop. I mean really, really. Yes, it is the NFL, but does anyone ever remember such activity with IRs with this franchise back in the Kelly days like we have seen in the last 4 years?
  20. JPS I was trying to figure out how to express my feelings concerning the loss, yet again, of Roscoe. However, you did a beautiful job by doing so above. It is so hard for me with this guy whom I have been behind since the start of his career. We will miss him this year, but even that is tough to determine as it is not like he caught 80 balls for us a couple of year in a row and then just started getting injured.
  21. Please let me be one of the first to say: YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EDIT: Before anyone goes to douche territory...especially me; I do not mean "yes' to Parrish being out, but to Rosey coming back.
  22. I agree with you guys above: Lowest ranked 2-0 team; and whether we are real or not depending on the game this weekend; and this is BS. Seriously, does being for real have to mean that you are not just a good football team, but a team that beats Super Bowl teams? If that is the case then the Saints aren't for real b/c they lost to the Packers.
  23. I here ya Zow. Special teams is important, but man, it seems sooner rather than later they are going to need guys out there that can actually catch the ball...please bring Rosey back.
  24. Man, maybe I could have supported Fitzy back when he was the number one QB in the League. ...but now that he's number 6?????
