  1. Maybe he can get off that "50 worst QBs of all time" list from earlier today. Seriously, JP, I wish you well.
  2. It is amazing when you think about how many injuries the Bills have had the last few years and how some of these guys are repeatedly injured (I'm not calling you out Terrance or Demetrius...but I am looking in your direction) and then think that London Fletcher, a LB, could be missing the first game due to injury of his career this weekend (think he may have missed one for personal/family reasons). ...crazy.
  3. "We have enough millionaires on this team." Oh, sorry, thought you said Keith Jackson. *ducks even further for cover than the OP for rehashing old, closed threads*
  4. Man, Doc, didn't think of that. That is a good point. Palmer will get much better, but I still think it presents more of a problem for this team. Campbell was a good fit, progressing and at the right age and experience for that team.
  5. Seriously a lot different story then that LG we signed from the skins for 50 million dollars who just missed his teammates and washington so much. Olin just really might be done-done.
  6. ummm...Aaron Rodgers needs to be paid more money.
  7. Dang, dayman, that is a huge loss for them. Thanks, man. Honestly, after the Bills lost on Sunday I tuned out a little bit on the other goings-on in the NFL.
  8. Am I missing something? Did Jahvad (sorry for the spelling) get hurt?
  9. I wanted that guy to be a Buffalo Bill so badly.
  10. Great thread, hats off to the OP, and great comment above, Buftex. Just to help out the younglings a bit, after Thurman Thomas and OJ Simpson the third all time leading rusher for the Bills even given his limited time here is Joe Cribbs (I believe about 4,500 yards). I still to this day don't think he was used as much in the pass as he could have been because he had great hands. If he doesn't have a contract dispute and doesn't run off to the USFL he could have ended with about 8,000 - 9,000 yards rushing for this team and more than 400 grabs.
  11. Could not have said it better 5 Wide. THIS is the true obstacle right now in our playoff run. If they can get to 6-2 I think things look pretty good. ...if they stumble as a result of someone as important as Williams being out.
  12. I was almost going to be pessimistic as i believe that 10-6 is great, but still doesn't you get into the playoffs this year. However, if we the halfway point at 6-2 and start getting healthier...man, I don't think 11-5 is outside the realm of possibility. The more wins this team has together under its belt and keeps getting better...
  13. Godbless his family and friends during this difficult time. Rest In Peace #67.
  14. We respectfully bow to you, Sir. Well played indeed.
  15. I love our receivers...but we are definitely thin right now. ...yeah, given his skills I think I'd go for a three. If we can get him for a 4th then great. I'll even go a step farther and say that if we get him for a fourth I am OK if he doesn't end up signing with us past this year. Reason being is that I think we have good talent going forward. EDIT: BTW, if this rumor has legs and you are a Buffalo Bill and your last name is Martin...you should be worried.
  16. This. It is the equivalent of putting Bills fans on his shoulders only to turn around and kick his family hard in the privates...so to speak.
  17. Yes, sorry I forgot to mention that. He could own both if they were in the same city.
  18. Jeremy Jacobs, Delaware North, Boston Bruins owner and Western New York native. I thought this even before GR mentioned it this morning. Additionally and what GR DIDN'T mention this morning is that Jacobs said (paraphrasing), "I'd love to be able to purchase an NFL team in my home Town."
  19. ...and he needs money and no one is paying him right now. Plus, he needs to show teams that he has at least one more full year left in the tank for 2012 after coming back from his injury. He was our leading receiver the year he was here. He was Cincy's leading receiving before a late season injury.
  20. Who do you cut off this team? I am not being glib I really just want to know. Is it Martin? Is it a LB? Do you put someone on IR who you really don't want to put on IR. I mentioned a few weeks ago that this team history with injuries has got to stop. I am not saying there is rhyme or reason with it, just that it would be nice if the trend of losing an average of almost 20 guys each year would stop.
  21. Jim Ritchter seemed durable, very much so Kent Hull but my memory could be playing tricks on me. Going back farther I just have no memory of Joe D. or Reggie McKenzie missing a game. Sorry, I am not trying to pick on Bell or any of the other OLmen, but his becoming the Jonas Jennings of this generation of Bills OLmen, without the skills. Please let me know what you guys either remember or know. EDIT: Man, I am seem to also remember that save for an injury toward the end of his career Joe Devlin had played a number of years without missing a game. ONE MORE EDIT: In 14 years (76-89), 13 more so as a started he missed the 83 season and 5 other games during his career. courtesy of Buffalo Rumblings: http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/6/23/921781/top-50-all-time-bills-no-38-rg-rt
  22. Yeah, my thinking too; they'll find their upgrade with the #1 overall pick next Spring.
  23. Are you kidding me? We still don't have Paup locked up and you want to sign Barnett!! I love H2o...but only in a refreshing manner.
  24. As some of the Buffalo Pro-football historians will mention around here...we got screwed...royally. When the league folded around 1950 the NFL took the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Colts and, by all accounts, should have taken the Buffalo Bills - a reasonably successful and very well supported franchise with many national supporters... ...so of course they took San Francisco.
  25. They still have to beat...the #3 team!
