  1. Deepest of condolences, Guff. My he rest in peace and my your family's pain at this time be swiftly eased.
  2. I feel blessed as a fan of this team that we have so many different options to choose from for "biggest FA busts." Can I get a Joe Panos from any of you out there? Well, how about a Quinn Early?
  3. eball, that was a great read. Thank you.
  4. He'll only play 15 - 20 downs a game...and I mean that as a good thing. Get him out there to reek havoc every few downs.
  5. Ahhh, dummy me. Thanks QCity. I know they had Williams set but I forgot it was LDE. Addtionally, I agree with your second paragraph whole heartedly. It is one of the reason why I am excited for the D this year; guys are going to stay fresh and be able to play to their strengths.
  6. Honestly, I think he will generally be considered the starter at LDE being subbed out specifically in passing situations, will be good against the run (therein lies the "starter") and might have a career year for sacks (7). EDIT: Oh, and I say that as one of the people who wanted him let go a number of times in the past.
  7. I don't know how you can ask who the Bills' biggest rival is without mentioning Seattle.
  8. Bill Belichick, DC - New York Giants 85-90, two non-consecutive SB championships. Dave Wannstedt, DC - Dallas Cowboys, 89-92. That's just two. Although Wanny has doen the job before there aren't necessary man lines that go: ______________, DC - ___________, 1991, the next year, HC at ____________
  9. Dear PTR, You don't know what they hell you are talking about. Respectfully, Dick LeBeau
  10. As a Bills fan I am frothing at the mouth when I think of the potential in this defense for 2012. I cna't help but fantasize about this team going 11-5, with a top 10 defense and the playoffs for the first time in a dozen, and yes I know that I am looking too far down the road with that, even when I start to think of... ...after the season. I doubt Buffalo would make Wanny the highest paid DC in the League (what would that be, about 4 million?), and I doubt they are going to promise him the HC job, especially when you consider that Gailey and Wannstedt are roughly the same age. That being said I think teams are going to come at him hard to be a HC and I am not sure how much reason there would be for him to stay if this is potentially his last go around at the top spot. It is just frustrating as a Bills fan to think of the possiblity of finally putting together a multi-year run, just knowing that you aren't like other franchises that get to keep their good people, at least for a couple of years. ...unless the Bills are so close after 2012 where someone could reasonably think, "yeah, I think we can win the whole thing next year, AND my prospects will be even greater." Sounds like I am whinning, but really I am still thrilled. This just sort of popped in my head. GO BILLS!
  11. Big Cat, please don't get my hopes. It is not good for my health.
  12. How can anyone not love SaintsFan's comments in a post below the article: "Stop writing articles about my sleeper DEF in Fantasy Kirwan!!!!!!"
  13. To be honest with you, if Merriman finishes the season and does so with 7+ sacks I would be thrilled. Additionally, I think 40 sacks is a reasonable goal for this team in 2012.
  14. Rags I'm sorry, but i think it was just the deal of the day. ...just checked, unfortunately back up to $59.
  15. I actually think that is a pretty good estimate on your part, yj; 80 is about right. wait. ...they were really at 90 in week 6?! Dang!
  16. I think the steelers improved their OL and have a couple of good young players, but I think they are creeping up in age a bit on defense. The bengals have youth everywhere, are just getting started, a lot of high picks at least in the next year to go with this year's class and a ton of cap room. ...this isn't just a steelers/ravens concern, but a concern for us as well if we are fighting for a playoff spot.
  17. ...can you help us with ratings for our Madden 13 team? Seriously, though, it has been a decade since I bought a copy of Madden into the next year. It is usually a day one purchase. However, like the rest of you I have been in a crazy good football mood the last couple of months and had an itch to pick up Madden 12, but even used it was going for $45...until Best Buy's deal of the day on Tuesday. $10. Loving it. I released Williams, Anderson and Young from their teams accordingly, cut a few Bills and added them to the roster. The first rookie I created was Cordy, but I realize that I need sort of a threshold for setting up his rating. I may steal a bit from D. Bell's discription, but it is a pain in the but process. $10 for 3 months of use before Madden 13 comes out the end of August...more than worth it! GO BILLS! ...um, btw, I have beefed my Bills up a bit from their 74 Madden rating. I have them at 84...it is a little lame to bring them all the way up to 99!
  18. I am not betting man, either, but geepers we should pool our money and all get on board and stick it to them and then rub it in when we get paid. "Ah yes, that's right: The Stadium Wall, $50,000 on the Bills."
  19. Promo, that popped into my head, as well.
  20. I don't wish this on anyone and I do not have the hate for Peters that some have had. ...but for some reason I'm just thinking things didn't happen exactly the way Peters might be implying.
  21. here-here. Additionally, it lops off a year so that if you are a young player doing well you can cash in a little sooner in the middle part of your career.
  22. I have loved the series since the start and I think it is valuable to the NFL and obviously even more valuable to have a stock pile of them for the NFL network. Honestly, I can see a time in the future when the NFL tells its teams you can say no once...but not twice.
  23. This was hilarious. ...a laughing emoticon just does not do it justice.
