I think he already is at Schobels level. Schobel had 8.5 sacks his second year in 16 games, Rousseau 8 in 13 games. Hansen was never more than average, even with Bruce Smith opposite him. He was a decent run defender, a Shaq Lawson level player. Let’s see what Greg can do this year. I think once Von gets back he is really going to eat.
Hansen and Rousseau are pretty close in their early starts numbers. If you can go by first 30 starts they have close to the same sacks (Hansen has more through the period (13.5-12), but it is difficult to track and he likely had only 10 at 30 starts to GR's 12), and Hansen has more total tackles ( apparently a little more than 100 combined to Rousseau's 87), but again difficult to track as there is no log for solo and assisted, just combined back in Hansen's day on PFR.

I don't need Rousseau to be Bruce Smith.
However, I would really appreciate it if he would develop into an Aaron Schobel or Phil Hansen, and sooner rather than later.
Go Bills.

This is NOT a wiggle room. This had to be done in order to get under that cap. As far as I remember today is the deadline when 53man roster and PS players kick in.
https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/
We were $1.5 under the cap (top 51), which means $80k (aka zero) under the cap for 53man roster. After that, we need to fit PS players under the cap, which is another $4.2M.
So this just makes room for PS players.
Thank you, NMW. I did read that over the weekend. I forget which guy on twitter mentioned it, but he was talking about all the teams (and he included the Bills...Chiefs, too) that had to make moves by the deadline (I'll take your word it is today).
The talk in the thread with respect to the other teams was as you say, practice squad, etc.

@dollars 2 donuts, you need in on this too! 😁
You rock @BillsFan619! We need more of this sort of thread around here!
Thank you, HUDS!
Will learn this on guitar shortly. I have no idea why It's The Most Wonderful Time of The Year isn't already in my Christmas song book!
Go Bills!

I’ve said this multiple times elsewhere on this board, Bills will likely be 11-6, but by the end of the regular season will be a better team, measure for measure, than ‘22’s 13-3 team.

Did I mention my sister pulled in a favor as she’s been with the Sabres for 20 years. I can’t tell you who, but there is an admin person for the Bills who scored us 45 yard line lower deck normally $650 per ticket for $185. My boys nephews and cousins are stoked.Nice Pull. Huge win. Sisters rule!!!!

Chris Simms was smoking something special before that prediction.
I'm not going to beat up people (most people) who are judging us right now. I think it is going to be a tough season.
However, I will say what I have previously said: I think whatever record this Bills team finishes at STILL will be a better TEAM than the 13-3 2022 Bills. I'll take the January 2024 Bills, even if they are 11-6 or 10-7, over the 13-3 January 2023 Bills.

That’s pragmatic speculation. To expand Donuts, I look at DK2 as a unit so 1100 yards total and 11 TD’s however it breaks between the two are rational goals for success. It’s not the yards it’s when and how they get them in executing for the most important goal, POINTS.Knox will be used more In-Line, and Kincaid the flex outside as currently Knox is the better blocker. Dorsey knows that and use each to their natural strengths as Kinkaid will learn blocking throughout his rookie year.
I am cautiously optimistic on Sherfield and Cook. Harris hopefully stays healthy and can effectively be our banger.
Solid, GUNS.
Honestly...Truly...I do believe there will be separate slot receiver (Harty) receptions in line, but greater than, iMck's 42 receptions last year. However, I think most, not all, of DK JR's receptions will be outside of that. I am not saying they are not going to be slot type receptions. I mean most of his grabs will be out of the ether...they will truly add to the offense and not just replace what was done in the past.
More first downs
Increasing number of opportunities for future drives.
A macro increase to our offensive efficiency in total.
I'm all in.
Go Blls!

Fat chance Donuts, there is too much pillaging of beef and cheese burritos from MT, sheet pizzas from Blasdell, and Labatts lights. We’ll be there.
Holefully you guys who know the landscape now with the construction have a lot to meet. Hammers was always our go to IR the lot next to it, but they are gone.
when we get closer, the usual suspects chime in where TBDers are gathering for the Raiders. So far no power lost, so myself and couple of buddies are going binge some. End movies and crush a couple of cases for a hurricane party. We have to stay off the roads today.
That's great, GUNS, but honestly, you seem to be putting a lot of pressure on yourself.Rest assured there is a Board Member here willing to take those tickets off your hands, for full price. A balding * (knocks out only 15% of the Members) , yet extremely handsome (takes out about 65% at TSW), with a huge heart that he wears on his sleeve (OK, 80% or so in) who is ready and waiting, in the pinch!
Please note, although I will try and be in attendance for the MT run, I will not be eating. Brother, I feel too good lately. Within 5 lbs of the lightest I've been in 8 years and I feel like a kid again. Plus I'm seeing my doctor about a week later so I want to keep it going.
(* Who am I kidding...bald)
Go Bills!

the entire OL - we are not better at. RT is no better. 1 guard is improved the other still a question mark. dawkins seems like he's not up to his best form
WR - on paper we look better but i don't buy we are better than we are at this point last year with the hope that mckenzie would be as good as he was supposed to be. i don't buy harty or sherfeld are going to be better
and i did forget TE - but in my defense the guy is a rookie and it's not that i forgot him it is that i don't put a ton of weight into rookies.
I agree with much of what you said boyst. Additionally, I too will not put too much on Kincaid, but that being said I honestly believe he will be good for 48 grabs, and his numbers should not really have an effect on Knox. They play the same position, but don't necessarily do the same things as we all know. Meaning we could see a total of 100 receptions from our TEs this year...hopefully.

WiseguyBTW- you’ll have to put up with me on the board for the next day and a 1/2 as this media hype is driving everyone crazy down here on the Hurricane so we’re all stuck in our homes until Thursday. I’m just hopeful we don’t lose power as that’s always fun. Tampa should miss the direct hit so we’ll just nailed with bands for 24 hours. So I guess I’ll get caught up with you lovely gentlemen and follow this sign new guys to ps, bla, bla.
I really did laught with your first comment. It was so Simon.
For the OT, frequent misses or underachieving in the first three rounds since after the first round in 2018, 20 or so million dollar difference makers on the rack in back to back years, the division has gotten better, tough schedule, and seemingly every QB of noteworthiness plays in this conference.
For you Guns, stay safe, brother. It would be a shame if you had to give up your Raiders tickets because you are pre-occupied!

Definitely would have wanted Creed Humphrey. Oh well.
I couldn’t stop hearing about Humphrey from a friend of mine who was so excited about him and believed he would be their in the second round for us, which he was.
Now I can’t even talk to him about it as it makes him sick.

Yes, they're better than us. The same way the they were "better" than us last year. And like like last year I expect we win more games than the "better" team.
I could kiss you Jauronimo.
Not open mouth and not likely on the lips, but more as a sign of respect. Not like the Italians or French do, but real, respectful good old American kiss, you magnificent bastard.
...oh, and your take is pretty good, too.

cinncinati spanked them
They didn’t blow them out, though.
This was about blowouts not bad losses.
a number of examples have been given subsequently. Most recently the Indy home game. That game was a joke.

No, I thought about that one first. That falls under not a good game. Cincy beat them. They didn’t blow them out.
bad for the bills play, yes, but not a blowout.

Regardless of the final score this game was a blowout.
Which got me to thinking…since when?
We lost games and have had not such great games, but a blowout?
I honestly can’t even remember. Does it predate even McDermott?
Has it been more than 100 regular, pre and post season games since we’ve been spanked?
-
I was at a dinner party at my sisters. It was great. Dry rub baked wings and salmon cakes and then steak and shrimp with broccoli for dinner.
I could not record the game because of the Directv / Nexstar snit so no CBS/channel for weeks now, which always…ALWAYS happens at this time of year.
Recording right now on nfl network.
Do I even want to or should I just simply move on?

Milton, no lie I have been on such a health kick the last few months. Little to no carbs, protein, cruciferous vegetables, and not necessarily intermittent fasting, but I don’t eat after 6 pm or before 6 am, unless we are at a wedding or we are hosting a party.
only 4 times after six in 10 weeks. This along with exercise and I feel the best I’ve felt in almost a decade.
Getting in game shape!

Has there been any mentions yet or plans for a Damar Hamlin related event at the game or at half time?
My house, rayray. I think we are doing something for it at my house.
Talk to @HOUSE . He has most of the deets.
There will be cake and balloons.
We could use a veggie plate if you want to sign up.
