Belichick and Pats Wanted EJ Manuel
dollars 2 donuts replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ya know, by '96 Kelly was taking his lumps behind an aging line and on a team in its delcine, even though they made it to the playoffs in his final year...and he was 36, but he know the writing was on the wall for him and his team and he knew when to get out. It just makes me wonder how much of that competitive fire I-want-to-play-until-I'm-40 Brady will have if this team starts to seriously slide and he gets knocked around a little more. -
At about the mid-point of the season, some thoughts
dollars 2 donuts replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mine in a nut shell, ...I know they are 3-5, but honestly, I do like watching this team. -
Man, though TT, I mean if he IS indeed ready before then...

Interesting analysis, OGT. Thank you. I think many of us suspected the difficulty of our schedule and that it gets easier in the second half, but it is still good to see the numbers. As far as the playoffs, personally, if the Bills choose to run the table in the 2nd half of the season I have no problem with that.

I am fired up about them, as well. Although, I am not sure they are bowl eligible yet, as I am not sure their win against Stony Brook counts towards the six games. Their next three games are all going to be televised. The first big highlight, against Ohio University a week from Tuesday on Espn's MAC night.

The next four games = the season

On a side note...isn't fun to still be able to talk like this? ...and believe it? -
The next four games = the season
dollars 2 donuts replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. I am with Cat on the 2-2, but I think there is a legitimate shot at 3-1. Although our P.O. chances would be seriously dimmed at 1-3, I still think there is a reasonable shot to get to .500 by season's end. EDIT: I think that after NO running the table to the bye week should be on every Bills' fans mind. -
Bills one game out of the final WC spot
dollars 2 donuts replied to dubs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've thought for awhile now (meaning even before the season got going...I was a little more optimistic a few weeks ago at 1-1) that if we can get to 4-5 we could make up some ground in the second half of the season. If (IF) we get to 4-5 I think it is reasonable to think this team can finish this season with a winning record of 9-7...10-6 if I am being really optimistic. -
Unpopular opinions thread.
dollars 2 donuts replied to Peytons Neck's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was ok to let Levitre go as long as the Bills then signed Rinehart to a reasonable deal. -
I just don't know how anyone can hate this thread. Thanks for the smiles, you guys!

Colin Brown to be released
dollars 2 donuts replied to Bangarang's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is too bad that after Levitre left the Bills didn't have any other options, like say a veteran back-up on their own team who was more than adequate and probably better than any other alternative they were thinking about at the position that they could sign to a very reasonable deal before letting him go out the door for peanuts. The next front office firing will be some underling standing next to the GM and President who blurts out, "Hey, ya know what we should have done..." -
If you guys are buying I'm drinkin'! 12-4 ... And no kidding, I was thinking this same thing in the shower this morning...any of my other shower thoughts are my business.

For those of you missing Levitre
dollars 2 donuts replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have no problem with letting Levitre go, given the amount and the position. However, we had another guard that played for us that was available to sign but we didn't and I am confused on why the front office let that happen. I'd mention him by name but the Board seems to get a little pissy lately whenever his name comes up. -
This.

Legursky starting at LG for Colin Brown?
dollars 2 donuts replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well...we can talk about the Steelers being a bad football team (now at 0-4), like some of us suggested would be the case a few weeks ago, but that would be just rehashing. JK, eball. However, I wouldn't be bringing this up if it never happened, but it did and it wasn't just this minor mistake that happened like the front office ordering the wrong colored pens...they lost a premium starting LG and then let his capable back-up walk away and if we had doubled that back-ups salary I would imagine he would have liked here a bit more than being out in SD. If we are going to keep have threads about how bad we are at LG I am going to keep bringing up what got us there. -
Legursky starting at LG for Colin Brown?
dollars 2 donuts replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All this talk and all this disappointment by Bills that could have been avoided by probably offering Chad Rinehart a two year, 4million dollar deal with one million guaranteed. Not a pro-bowler, but for crying out loud is there any argument here that he wasn't a better alternative to Brown?! -
Would Rather play Cleveland twice a year

Bucs Release Josh Freeman

Wow. Seriously, I mean I know all the stuff that was going on as brought up on this board and in the news, but still...wow. Somebody is going to get themselves a good FA QB. -
TJ Graham should be returning punts tomorrow
dollars 2 donuts replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm sorry, but this is where our stunted, timid passing game needs to show up. I know we are a run first team. I know EJ is a rookie and love the guy, but we have got to find a way to start pushing teams a bit more in the mid range (10-20 yards) passing area. I am not talking about the deep throws, although it would be nice if we connected on just a couple of those. I just want the Browns to be a little worried that if they stack the box when we are at the 20 yard line that they have to give some consideration about Woods, Stevie, Scott or anyone else at about the 35 yard line. -
Ryan Fitzpatrick to start
dollars 2 donuts replied to Buffalos#1Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Fitz can go 4-2 over these next few weeks then he will solidify his place as being a very high paid back-up QB in this league until he's almost 40, ala Kitna. Man, the guy can make between 2-3 million a year for the next 8 or so years...I'd take that. -
Tickets left for Bengals game
dollars 2 donuts replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously. If they are able to take these two, then finish the first half at 4-4 (should we lose @ the Phins and Saints) I think we then have a chance to do some damage in the 2nd half. ...if we follow 4-4 with a home win against the Chiefs then, wow, I think we could really start to rack things up and make a run. -
PFF: Race 4 rookie of the year
dollars 2 donuts replied to Kemp2Warlick's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If the Bills finish with at least 9 wins and EJ throws for 20 or more TDs with less than 15 interceptions I think he would be the leading candidate. -
I would have loved giving Rinehart 2 million dollars a year.
