  1. It was ok to let Levitre go as long as the Bills then signed Rinehart to a reasonable deal.
  2. I just don't know how anyone can hate this thread. Thanks for the smiles, you guys!
  3. It is too bad that after Levitre left the Bills didn't have any other options, like say a veteran back-up on their own team who was more than adequate and probably better than any other alternative they were thinking about at the position that they could sign to a very reasonable deal before letting him go out the door for peanuts. The next front office firing will be some underling standing next to the GM and President who blurts out, "Hey, ya know what we should have done..."
  4. If you guys are buying I'm drinkin'! 12-4 ... And no kidding, I was thinking this same thing in the shower this morning...any of my other shower thoughts are my business.
  5. I have no problem with letting Levitre go, given the amount and the position. However, we had another guard that played for us that was available to sign but we didn't and I am confused on why the front office let that happen. I'd mention him by name but the Board seems to get a little pissy lately whenever his name comes up.
  6. Well...we can talk about the Steelers being a bad football team (now at 0-4), like some of us suggested would be the case a few weeks ago, but that would be just rehashing. JK, eball. However, I wouldn't be bringing this up if it never happened, but it did and it wasn't just this minor mistake that happened like the front office ordering the wrong colored pens...they lost a premium starting LG and then let his capable back-up walk away and if we had doubled that back-ups salary I would imagine he would have liked here a bit more than being out in SD. If we are going to keep have threads about how bad we are at LG I am going to keep bringing up what got us there.
  7. All this talk and all this disappointment by Bills that could have been avoided by probably offering Chad Rinehart a two year, 4million dollar deal with one million guaranteed. Not a pro-bowler, but for crying out loud is there any argument here that he wasn't a better alternative to Brown?!
  8. Wow. Seriously, I mean I know all the stuff that was going on as brought up on this board and in the news, but still...wow. Somebody is going to get themselves a good FA QB.
  9. I'm sorry, but this is where our stunted, timid passing game needs to show up. I know we are a run first team. I know EJ is a rookie and love the guy, but we have got to find a way to start pushing teams a bit more in the mid range (10-20 yards) passing area. I am not talking about the deep throws, although it would be nice if we connected on just a couple of those. I just want the Browns to be a little worried that if they stack the box when we are at the 20 yard line that they have to give some consideration about Woods, Stevie, Scott or anyone else at about the 35 yard line.
  10. Honestly, that stuff last night just makes ya feel good. I know there is a crossover of fans with the Steelers and Pens who have been very fortunate with their teams' success...but for Pirates fans...all those years...man, good for you guys.
  11. If Fitz can go 4-2 over these next few weeks then he will solidify his place as being a very high paid back-up QB in this league until he's almost 40, ala Kitna. Man, the guy can make between 2-3 million a year for the next 8 or so years...I'd take that.
  12. Seriously. If they are able to take these two, then finish the first half at 4-4 (should we lose @ the Phins and Saints) I think we then have a chance to do some damage in the 2nd half. ...if we follow 4-4 with a home win against the Chiefs then, wow, I think we could really start to rack things up and make a run.
  13. If the Bills finish with at least 9 wins and EJ throws for 20 or more TDs with less than 15 interceptions I think he would be the leading candidate.
  14. I would have loved giving Rinehart 2 million dollars a year.
  15. They should have paid Rinehart.
  16. This made me laugh...thank you, JR. Two weeks from tonight get your popcorn ready for a Bills-Browns game!
  17. Respectfully, Moderators, I do agree with I<j above. However, swinging back to the all 22 from week one it is a more than a little disappointing seeing the open lanes that CJ had to cut back on, and didn't. I've been very hard on Collin Brown (begging for answers on how we could let Chad Rinehart walk without giving him a yeoman type contract offer that was better than SDs), but his caused isn't helped by CJ being out of step. ...I thought about getting NFL rewind last year and I almost pulled the trigger this morning.
  18. Yeah, I've screwed it up before, I should have looked it up. JR, I couldn't agree more. My question is to the media...why the heck haven't you guys asked more questions about this when he was let go or as a follow-up now? Honestly, I don't think I have ever heard this, or any other question about him put to the powers that be and not only is it an issue right now at RG, but probably one back in the off season.
  19. Rinehart would have been a nice compliment.
  20. We have a great number of higher education institutions here. We are near a beautiful river, one of the wonders of the world and one of the largest fresh water sources on the planet. We get our power from the largest hydroelectric source this side of the Mississippi. We share a boarder and peaceful relations with our good neighbors to the north. There are five million people within an hour and half drive, and probably double that within a 4 hour drive (Cleveland and Pittsburgh). ...and our taxes are bat-s***t outrageous. ...but it is still such a great place to live. GO BILLS!
  21. 2-23. I don't like us being disrespected as much as the next Bills fan, but 2-23. I've had a stupid little phrase I've repeated over and over again through the years that still holds true today: good teams win games. That's it. That is all. No excuses. When you are stepping on a snakes neck you proceed to bash his head in...you don't let him up to snap at you. No McKelvin fumble, No bad Fitz pass, No Bledsoe stumble in prime time, no Stevie drop. 2-23 should garner no respect at all.
  22. Sorry, I only picked one before I knew I could pick three! I picked EJ being handcuffed. As far as I'm concerned it is incredible to think that against a poor pass defense EJ threw only 27 passes. I have absolutely no problems with the no huddle. What I do have a problem with is playing it safe with the no huddle out of fear of Brady. Of course you run the ball sometimes, but did anyone on the coaching staff really think that, of all things, NE's front 7 had gotten worse since last season and was worth exploiting?
