  1. We need more W's against cancer, Jim. Sorry that it is in your hands again to get us one of them, but I am glad you are on our side, because believe me we are all on yours. God Bless you and your family and all those battling cancer.
  2. Well then I shall proceed to kick the messenger in the nether regions until I am sufficiently satisfied or tire of the screams. Seriously, though, thanks BGW.
  3. Hey, eme123, I am right there with you and I truly hope it is the case. For what we are trying to do this season, Spikes is definitely a move int he right direction. True, true. Sorry for the double post, btw, I just reacted quickly and should have merged both yours and eme's comments. EDIT: AND IT WAS MERGED AUTOMATICALLY, NICE!! LOVE TSW!
  4. Honestly, 808, that is exactly what I was thinking. You toss it around in your head that this is a great pick, but we are in a passing league and wouldn't it be better do have a 3 down backer who was better against the pass. Still, good move.
  5. KJ, I liked the combined answer of both yours and K-9s ...it was depressing as a Bills fan, but it was informative.
  6. Oh please, it's the internet. You only have to be kind of accurate.
  7. Sorry Amy...0-5.
  8. ...and paid him millions for a period of time. Yes, he got what he wanted in Philly, but CB97's earlier post is fairly accurate and this was not a guy who was trying to make due on the League minimum at the time. I believe his average was about 3.5 million at the time he left...deserved more(?) sure, but overall he handled things very poorly.
  9. I thought it was his back, which also makes me question whether he would ever be ready to return. For full disclosure I like Hairston and thought he was going to contribute nicely to this team in 2013 until it was determined that his health would sideline him for the entire season.
  10. Please allow me to hop on the FtL bandwagon with you, JJ. Spot on.
  11. My hope is we find another Cody Glenn in the 2nd (possibly 3rd round). I just think this team would be helped out so much by adding a dynamic LB. So no. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate the idea of an OT in the first round. However, as has been the case for a long time we have noticeable holes in other places to fill, as well.
  12. My family had season tickets and although I was very young I still remember those games. It was just so big, but then again, I was just so small then. I was too young to really know what happened as far as why they left, but over the years in reading the history about it, including jester's point above, makes me sick just to think about it. For those of you who weren't around the Braves were getting to be so good and then they just started to be gutted for any number of reasons that as a fan I'll never truly understand.
  13. Yeah, I agree a lot with FtL. Right now he should be stating his case hard for at least one real quality OLmen and receiving threat (WR or TE). ...on top of that he needs to truly figure out what made CJ so good in 2012 and repeat it in 2014 or we need to do something differently at RB. I know CJ was banged up, but from the get go it just didn't seem like things were working.
  14. I too have the resume of being a former alter boy and Jesuit educated. ...and I concur with your sentiments completely.
  15. Thank you, Ed. I wasn't sure about the rigidity with which some of this deals may/might be made.
  16. This. Backing-up kr632 as others have done. Quite simply the kid is the total package.
  17. Its always a shame seeing former pros letting their bodies and health go when they retire. Have some self respect.
  18. Wiz, seriously, I was thinking the same thing.
  19. Draft Day Starring Kevin Costner and Jennifer Garner http://www.ign.com/v...super-bowl-spot ...we was robbed. EDIT: another link as the IGN one seems not to be working right now. This one is longer, anyways. http://movies.yahoo....-221050432.html ...this would have been a nice little bit of PR.
  20. So, just for example: If Baltimore wanted to trade up to 9 (1350), they should give us their first and second (1430) and we might give them back our 4th (84) as part of it?
  21. I can't believe it goes beyond WSS's comment above...even at a discount he is not a good OLinemen.
  22. I hear ya, WEO, but kicking in some way should at least be the starting point for change. Hell, if you want it to be exciting have the line of scrimmage for extra points be at the 25. I am not sure that would fall under the "too easy" moniker as much. Don't tell me your back side wouldn't clench up when they lined up for that one pointer!
  23. This is a good idea, and at the very least, a good start and I am surprised that I am only the 4th person to reference it through 4 pages.
