Hitting on a TE in the Draft
dollars 2 donuts replied to Boludo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have absolutely no problems trading down this year...especially, if they still really believe in EJ. -
I was huge Lewis fan as a kid. No offense to the younglings here, but you just had to have seen him play to truly appreciate what we had in him.

Its a passing league...right?
dollars 2 donuts replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let me tell ya, right now I am not sure the top five teams in the AFC want to have anything to do with the Chargers, or even the defending champion Ravens, in the playoffs. That doesn't mean I think either team would win and go all the way, but they will provide some headaches for whichever team faces them. Who gets that last playoff spot is really more interesting to me than who has home field advantage. -
Well, he did have 9 tackles, 2.5 sacks and an INT return for a TD against Ohio State.

Branden Oliver: A Place on the Bills?
dollars 2 donuts replied to yungmack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He is going to finish in the top five in the nation for rushing (currently fifth and could go higher). So although I doubt he'll be picked in the first round I still think he will be drafted. Additionally, with respect to Neutz, 15 receptions for almost 300 yards and 2 TDs against Baylor and Ohio State doesn't hurt! Edit: my bad...Oliver is currently 6th in the nation. -
Every single ESPN expert is picking PIT

Wow, wow. That bugs the hell out of me and I am not kidding you. Wow. That is just short of saying this team is lucky to have the 3 wins that they do and I don't want to hear the old "their 3-6, but could easily be 7-2 or 0-9" garbage. This team has shown quite a bit with some tough breaks and not the other way around and that is freaking ridiculous. -

I'm actually more curious about what the Bills record would be if some of the guys doing the predictions were always correct. In other words, there has got to be one of them out there that would have us at 0-9, so far. That's when ya go, "Really? REALLY?! So, every single week you think this team is unworthy of winning a game and is that bad?" -
RIP Houston Astrodome

I hear you, Gordio, I really do. However, please keep in mind that those great memories don't live inside the stadium, they live inside you and everyone else whose been there and we take that with us. -

Broncos' OL walks away from game

Correct me if I am wrong but I seem to remember some members of this board really wanting the bills to get this guy. -
I'm sorry, I love the guy already...but I still have no problems blaming EJ. ...he had the first down. ...he wasn't trying to get to the end zone. ...he should have been more careful and I am tired of the "rookie mistake" argument. A rookie mistake is when you are baited into something. take your pick: Cleveland? CIncy? Yesterday? Winning just one of those games puts us legitimately in the hunt, instead of saying let's run the table and hope things fall our way.
-
If you want to argue against the QB sneak go ahead...but it is a just plain empty argument. Will they please run the damn play and cut with the excuses on WHY they don't run a play that is the shortest distance between two points!
-
Thank you. I mean I love the kid, but I honestly put the blame on him for that injury. I'm thinking at the very lease we should be 4-4 right now with a win over either Cleveland that night, or Cincy. I know I am being obviously subjective here, but I would really like our chances with him going into the KC game...less with Thad...possibly saying good-bye to the season with Tuel. Jeepers, how pathetic is it as a fan that I would be thrilled even if we didn't make the playoffs, but at least were in the conversation at the end?! Going down to 3-6 just about kills those thoughts even if you go on a nice run of games. ...I can't help but be a baby and be fussy right now. I don't want to see EJ back when we are 3-7 and starting to prep for next season. I want him back now, dang it!

Belichick and Pats Wanted EJ Manuel
dollars 2 donuts replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ya know, by '96 Kelly was taking his lumps behind an aging line and on a team in its delcine, even though they made it to the playoffs in his final year...and he was 36, but he know the writing was on the wall for him and his team and he knew when to get out. It just makes me wonder how much of that competitive fire I-want-to-play-until-I'm-40 Brady will have if this team starts to seriously slide and he gets knocked around a little more. -
At about the mid-point of the season, some thoughts
dollars 2 donuts replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mine in a nut shell, ...I know they are 3-5, but honestly, I do like watching this team. -
Man, though TT, I mean if he IS indeed ready before then...
-
Interesting analysis, OGT. Thank you. I think many of us suspected the difficulty of our schedule and that it gets easier in the second half, but it is still good to see the numbers. As far as the playoffs, personally, if the Bills choose to run the table in the 2nd half of the season I have no problem with that.
-
I am fired up about them, as well. Although, I am not sure they are bowl eligible yet, as I am not sure their win against Stony Brook counts towards the six games. Their next three games are all going to be televised. The first big highlight, against Ohio University a week from Tuesday on Espn's MAC night.

The next four games = the season

On a side note...isn't fun to still be able to talk like this? ...and believe it? -
The next four games = the season
dollars 2 donuts replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. I am with Cat on the 2-2, but I think there is a legitimate shot at 3-1. Although our P.O. chances would be seriously dimmed at 1-3, I still think there is a reasonable shot to get to .500 by season's end. EDIT: I think that after NO running the table to the bye week should be on every Bills' fans mind. -
Bills one game out of the final WC spot
dollars 2 donuts replied to dubs's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've thought for awhile now (meaning even before the season got going...I was a little more optimistic a few weeks ago at 1-1) that if we can get to 4-5 we could make up some ground in the second half of the season. If (IF) we get to 4-5 I think it is reasonable to think this team can finish this season with a winning record of 9-7...10-6 if I am being really optimistic.
