  1. GR talked about it, but we all already know it...the marketing job he has been able to put together for this team that year in and year out isn't even a contender is praise worthy and a valuable commodity to have. I hope he is safe for a while...I actually hope they are all safe for at least a full year under the new ownership.
  2. Well, not now it seems! Young Mr. Toler is thinking after that, "maybe I should look into finishing that degree in accounting." Not for nothing with respect to the the guy's comments above, but how do you even subconsciously or inattentively witness a QB going 17-22 during a session and say that the Steelers won fairly handily? Did the Steelers QBs go 22 for 22?
  3. Please don't...I remember that. So sad in that she was trying to do something nice for her kids and utterly tragic and heartbreaking.
  4. Apology not accepted...I wanted him badly, as well. I like EJ quite a bit and I know that we wouldn't have the same Wilson as Seattle has now. However, it would have opened up different options for our drafting from last year to this.
  5. The victim is a woman...they'll find a way to make this go away and that is sad and depressing that they (the nfl, in general) are able to do this repeatedly.
  6. I Agree with you guys. He is going to have a nice season with San Fran and he'll see some good action in January. Additionally, almost every time I see demos at various events of Madden 15 HE'S the guy scoring TDs for the Niners!
  7. I think some sarcasm meters were off when reading your post. I have no problem with a guy like Fred speaking up and I think he has a point, especially during a preseason with 5 games.
  8. I don't want to do this back and forth. After this week, decide your number 2 and let him take the #2 reps for the rest of the preseason. ...and if you can't decide by the end of this week who the number 2 QB is then just let TSW know and we will send someone over to tap you on the head with a ball pein hammer because you're a moron (thank you "Tommy Boy", with some respectful editing). The third guy can get his time in but he can get it in at the end. I want the QB who is one "first down dive" away from being starter to get a lot time in. "blah-blah-blah, healthy competition, blah-blah-blah, only real reps"...PLEASE!
  9. Me too. I always believed he had the skill set to help an nfl team. "Yeah, nfl, hi I'm Branden Oliver. I'm 5'-8", a fire plug with legs that drives like a jack hammer with quicks and I will be scoring TDs between the tackles, thank you."
  10. Quite simply if it comes to it I'd rather draft the best qb available in the second round next year and give EJ a third season and see what happens. Not real worried as I think EJ will show progress this year.
  11. BTW, out of curiosity, how many suitors were there for the Jacksonville Jaguars? I love how that just sort happened and really wasn't a big league event and took place to the tune of 780 million dollars.
  12. Because you are from WNY, my friend. We all feel it. It is in our bones.
  13. Last time I checked that downtown location is still pretty close to Canada. Just kidding, BB; I get ya. However, I do really like the plan quite a bit. I want to help the Bills, but also want to help the City of Buffalo and I feel strongly in such a concept and what it will mean for development, even if it is hard and will take time.
  14. Seriously, I really could enjoy watching a pro soccer game, downtown in June with the roof open. Man, I could go to a Saturday afternoon soccer game, have dinner downtown, and then hit the Bisons at 7 pm.
  15. Which I didn't know, which stinks because that is obviously not going to happen. I just can't imagine someone springing for a 20,000 to 35,000 seat soccer only stadium. Well, I thought I heard UB might be building one. Don't know whether a pro team would be allowed to play there.
  16. Long story very short; i have had the itch for MLS soccer since the Seattle Sounders debuted a few years ago. I thought our fans could bring similar excitement. That being said, when we get a new stadium (hopefully downtown, retractable roof), would you guys support an MLS team should we get one? Mind you there is nothing that I know of on the drawing board. However, and also hoping that a field fits the downtown stadium, would some of you Bills fans feel the civic pride and support of a new stadium downtown and go to a few Buffalo Stallions games (yeah, Stallions, yeah, why not?)? Tickets can range from $10 - $26 per game and there are 18 home games, I believe. Additionally, I am posting this here because it is potentially Bills Stadium related and I wanted input from Bills fans. However, I defer to the Mods.
  17. I've been saying that for years, it stinks, and it is ridiculous that it isn't taken into consideration. In other words, Southern Ontario should count.
  18. I will be very displeased if this has no merit and someone has toyed with my emotions.
  19. I checked Easley's stats just to see if they were what I remember them to be and ESPN said he had 21 special teams tackles, almost twice as much as the next player...I just don't see the bills giving that up for a different 5th or sixth player.
  20. Agreed. I am not sure it would be for thirty years, but agreed. When the new stadium comes the Ralph will be 47 years old...that is old enough for an nfl stadium. It is not like the Georgia dome where it is 20 plus years and out. You are not going to get married In a powder blue, ruffled tux in 2014 and this is still an nfl team and it's house should be at least commensurate with the league. Can't believe I wrote that but it is true. Additionally, and very respectfully to John Adams, this new house will add a new breed of luxury customer...build it and seriously, they will come.
  21. Or possibly showing their "toughness" after a poor decision on the ray rice 2 game suspension.
  22. Because I sat through it.
  23. Oh I don't know, the Patriots dropping more than 50 on us, at home, in prime time, and going for it on 4th down in the redzone up by more than 20 at that point was a particularly bad game.
  24. Yeah, seemed to remember beating the defending Super Bowl Champion Cowboys in Texas Stadium in '93. ...but for goodness sake why should we hold Mike Schopp to any standard of accuracy when he's trying to make a bold statement?
