  1. It is weird to look back and think that he might be the best of the three coaches. ...man, where are we? Seriously.
  2. ...and you could go back in time the last, let's say 5 years just once, what would you advise the Bills (or who are we kidding) or what would you rather DEMAND the Bills to do? (Note: it should be reasonable...I know, I know, we are talking about a time machine here, but still...reasonable) The first and maybe easiest thing that comes to mind is to take Russell Wilson in the third round. If for some reason they did not listen to me and I have to get something out of my time travel escapade...then sign Chad Rinehart to a two year, two million dollar deal, with one million guaranteed...and not listen to his or others' stupid excuses about following a coach out West, as the last time I checked, money still talks.
  3. I hate you BBM1, because it sounds like you speak the truth and Bills bad and stupid-self-inflicted luck all in one comment above. Please let me blame the messenger because it is getting boring blaming this team. ...just kidding, brother. BTW, someone should be all over the name "Sammy's Ribs" for their board name.
  4. Vegas, when they've shown the screen on TV I've wondered whether they are going to spread gameplay or replay over the entire screen like you see at some of the other stadiums (Cincy). I take it from what you are saying that is not the case and that IS disappointing.
  5. I gotta tell ya, if we are talking initially a third string QB there are a few of those guys I would be interested in. Quick question, and I don't believe there is a chance of this happening and I don't like him as an option at QB, but how many of you would swap TJ for Mallet given that both teams are trying to dump these guys?
  6. I am glad he admitted it, and this is a move in the right direction. However, if he had the ability to suspend for longer I just don't know how, knowing what he knew, he could sign off on two games and been ok with that. Once I signed my name I couldn't help but think, "man, I am letting someone off the hook and it feels wrong."
  7. Oh, I agree with you completely, C-Bisc about the Pats rip cord on vets, but as you mention above I also agree that it is a decent risk for the Bucs.
  8. Man, I know the season hasn't started yet, but the more I look at them (for obvious reasons lately) the more impressed I am am with at least the direction of the Bucs.
  9. The Bills always stressed that he was a mobile QB, but not a running QB. Meaning that he was elusive and could throw on the run, but that he is not necessarily a rushing QB.
  10. You're top two are the ones that keep me up at night, Gugny. If I were to tack on a third, it would be OLine, including the OLine coach. Are we better off there than we were during the Chan Gailey years? It doesn't seem like it.
  11. Are you kidding, Juice? This issue has me bouncing off the walls! WE need the season to begin, badly!
  12. Excuse me, but have the Bills practices really been all that brutal? Meaning, i really don't have a problem with a soft team, known for being soft, having things be just a bit harder for them. This isn't "Cool Hand Luke" so let's not be overly dramatic...This is an extra few days of practice in an area and a time of year where the heat gets up into the (wait for it, wait for it) upper 70s. A fight broke out, the coach doesn't like it and one of the players opened his mouth. You don't respect me, you don't like working this long, you guys can't discipline yourselves? ...then run. Jumpin-Jiminey, I mean I like a lot of these players, but the Bills have been a team of candy asses for years. It permeates the very uniform they play in.
  13. Man, I mean even without him saying it you just knew that was the case. People have been worrying about our defensive 3-4 or 4-3 scheme so much that there really hasn't been much consideration to our offensive scheme other than blaming EJ or stating running out of the shotgun sucks...which it does.
  14. Ya know, I still get PO'd at the lack of interest and the lack of concern when the Jags sold for 780 million a couple of years ago, but the Bills value is suddenly the most important and interesting thing going on for the NFL.
  15. Man, never thought of this, but what if they kept Littman?
  16. I hear ya. I don't know what the going rate is for top tackles right now, but I would start with Glenn at 6 years, 66 million and 22 to 33 million guaranteed.
  17. OK, you and Guffalo are making me laugh. ...they get even funnier after you read them a couple of times. EDIT: BTW, why don't we get our new lacky, everybody's buddy and royal kiss ass to buy the tickets...you know, Jon Bon Jovi.
  18. This was brilliant and deserved better than waiting for page two props.
  19. I hope so, eball. I seem to remember that when Bruce got suspended for four games (1988) they did it on the Monday leading up to the opening game.
  20. Yes, but it is a pretty darn big part of the job. Maybe he shouldn't be as in control as a chef, but if he can get you to eat a rotten piece of fish year in and year out...well, there is value in that! ...and great points by you, BPA.
  21. GR talked about it, but we all already know it...the marketing job he has been able to put together for this team that year in and year out isn't even a contender is praise worthy and a valuable commodity to have. I hope he is safe for a while...I actually hope they are all safe for at least a full year under the new ownership.
  22. Well, not now it seems! Young Mr. Toler is thinking after that, "maybe I should look into finishing that degree in accounting." Not for nothing with respect to the the guy's comments above, but how do you even subconsciously or inattentively witness a QB going 17-22 during a session and say that the Steelers won fairly handily? Did the Steelers QBs go 22 for 22?
