Welcome to our world, Texans
dollars 2 donuts replied to dezertbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Some around here are kind of forgetting that the Texans were 2-14 last year and have already past that win total in a quarter of a season. In short, rail on him if you will but that teams qb play has improved; and I don't think anyone in Houston seriously thinks Fitzy is a long term solution but, like us, they are probably happy being 3-2. -
Kyle Orton, Tony Romo relationship was 'untenable'
dollars 2 donuts replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, saw this article earlier. My thing is I kind of need a definition for "untenable". As in: Untenable - the desire or feeling of wanting to punch someone in the face if left alone in the same room with them. Opposite of "good teammates". As used in a sentence: Your inappropriate references to my sister's chastity has made our relationship untenable regardless of the coin I am making. ...no gravy, no stake. Somebody has to have more dirt on this. -
Goodwin did not step out at the 4 yard line
dollars 2 donuts replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear you to some degree, mrags, but he caught the ball at the 10 and took three strides before he started to lose it at about the four...at worst a catch and then a fumble, out of bounds. -
Goodwin did not step out at the 4 yard line
dollars 2 donuts replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely he didn't. That confused the hell out of me as it didn't look all that close to even stepping out of bounds. -
Remember the start of the season gauntlet that the national talking heads, and a lot of us, thought would be are undoing for the season? The ones where the Bills should consider themselves lucky if they are 2-4 after six...some even said we could be 1-5? Damn, if they get to 4-2 everything should look real good for the 6 that follow. I could live with 8-4, but how much would you love 9-3 at the three quarter mark?!

I agree with mountainwampus's post. Additionally, I wouldn't have restructured his contract. He was a starter in this league and was most likely still going to be a starter in this league for the Bills in 2013, until he wasn't anymore; then you worry about his contract, especially considering the room we had and still have. The man, if you believe his comments and I do, wanted a shot at still being the starter which he should have been afforded. Really, how much difference were we talking about between what Fitz ( a known commodity) was going to get paid in 2013 as opposed to the money that Kolb (an unknown commodity) got? If the base salary difference was 5-6 million then isn't it worth it for insurance? I hope Orton does well, but I really could have lived with Fitz starting this weekend against Lions, even given his limitations...with EJ being groomed in the background if he hadn't taken over by this time.

Sunday Ticket and the FCC
dollars 2 donuts replied to USMCBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I love my Sunday ticket for the great offenses I get to see around the league. Seriously, though, I loved watching Rodgers and his no-name receivers and TE in the game against the Bears this weekend. -
I hear ya, zow, and I love Sammy. However, if Kiko didn't get hurt and they got Mack can you imagine how nasty this defense would have been this year?

Bills' All Time Best Offensive Play Caller
dollars 2 donuts replied to patfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man, do I remember those times, as well. Your dad and my dad were spot on and as good as a couple of his terms were, for those of you who weren't around, it was maddening. -
I've said this more than once here with respect to the longevity of his career; if this year or next year are his last as a starter, Fitzy (if wants) should be able to play until his late thirties as a back-up in this league, like Jon Kitna. ...probably making 2-3 million per while he's at it.

If Fitz beats us on Sunday, what will you do?
dollars 2 donuts replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, if you are not going to take this thread seriously with something that you would "actually" do, then why even bother posting? -
Aikman 1-15 in his first year.
dollars 2 donuts replied to TC in St. Louis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not for nothing, but I believe the one victory that year was Steve Walsh's. -
I know we love him. I know other fans are envious of us having him. He is 31 and has made a few pro bowls, however, sometimes as an alternate. If we assume '14-'16 as quality years in his career, meaning he hopefully makes it to the pro bowl, what are the chances or what do you think the odds are of Kyle being an NFL Hall of Famer? EDIT: keeping in mind that as a 7 time pro-bowler and multiple year all-pro Fred Smerlas still isn't in and no longer appears ont he ballot, I believe.

Keenan Allen chargers stud WR hurts groin
dollars 2 donuts replied to Webster Guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly! Man, what a nice draft pick that guy was. I remember being envious of the chargers for picking him up in the third round last year when they were making their run. I liked the chargers a lot last year and even this year, except for this week and for the wild card! -
Hypothetical question regarding QB
dollars 2 donuts replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Jameis Football Lite ...I, like you, just hope that EJ continues to develop. -
This probably doesn't warrant it's own thread, but I am just curious for those of you who are a little more knowledgeably on how these systems/scheme's work. I could be wrong, but it seems that Joe D's spread line worked for us while he was here from 2010-2012, and hasn't been too shabby for the Chargers and our former Guard who shall not be named (because for some reason it pisses people off around here ). So, would it have worked or is it like putting a square peg in a round hole?

Start the power rankings: week 2
dollars 2 donuts replied to dollars 2 donuts's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I was right. We are the lowest ranked 2-0 team at 17. The Texans are 16. Annoying when you consider the texans victories are against the number 31 an 27 teams, while the bills beat nos. 22 and 12. -
I thought of that. I was focusing on the regular season and also that they are the dolphins and don't really count. No, no, no. Point: Cletus!
-
...and teams that win weeks 1-16 lose the Super Bowl 100% of the time.

One of only 7 undefeated teams..

This...is awesome.
