  1. I agree with mountainwampus's post. Additionally, I wouldn't have restructured his contract. He was a starter in this league and was most likely still going to be a starter in this league for the Bills in 2013, until he wasn't anymore; then you worry about his contract, especially considering the room we had and still have. The man, if you believe his comments and I do, wanted a shot at still being the starter which he should have been afforded. Really, how much difference were we talking about between what Fitz ( a known commodity) was going to get paid in 2013 as opposed to the money that Kolb (an unknown commodity) got? If the base salary difference was 5-6 million then isn't it worth it for insurance? I hope Orton does well, but I really could have lived with Fitz starting this weekend against Lions, even given his limitations...with EJ being groomed in the background if he hadn't taken over by this time.
  2. I love my Sunday ticket for the great offenses I get to see around the league. Seriously, though, I loved watching Rodgers and his no-name receivers and TE in the game against the Bears this weekend.
  3. I hear ya, zow, and I love Sammy. However, if Kiko didn't get hurt and they got Mack can you imagine how nasty this defense would have been this year?
  4. Man, do I remember those times, as well. Your dad and my dad were spot on and as good as a couple of his terms were, for those of you who weren't around, it was maddening.
  5. I've said this more than once here with respect to the longevity of his career; if this year or next year are his last as a starter, Fitzy (if wants) should be able to play until his late thirties as a back-up in this league, like Jon Kitna. ...probably making 2-3 million per while he's at it.
  6. ...link to the HALL OF FAME thread started by vastly under rated board member who is just looking for a little love from the TSW community. Who is lazy and doesn't feel like linking here.
  7. Well, if you are not going to take this thread seriously with something that you would "actually" do, then why even bother posting?
  8. Not for nothing, but I believe the one victory that year was Steve Walsh's.
  9. I know we love him. I know other fans are envious of us having him. He is 31 and has made a few pro bowls, however, sometimes as an alternate. If we assume '14-'16 as quality years in his career, meaning he hopefully makes it to the pro bowl, what are the chances or what do you think the odds are of Kyle being an NFL Hall of Famer? EDIT: keeping in mind that as a 7 time pro-bowler and multiple year all-pro Fred Smerlas still isn't in and no longer appears ont he ballot, I believe.
  10. Exactly! Man, what a nice draft pick that guy was. I remember being envious of the chargers for picking him up in the third round last year when they were making their run. I liked the chargers a lot last year and even this year, except for this week and for the wild card!
  11. Jboys, that was absolutely dynamite. Thank you.
  12. Jameis Football Lite ...I, like you, just hope that EJ continues to develop.
  13. This probably doesn't warrant it's own thread, but I am just curious for those of you who are a little more knowledgeably on how these systems/scheme's work. I could be wrong, but it seems that Joe D's spread line worked for us while he was here from 2010-2012, and hasn't been too shabby for the Chargers and our former Guard who shall not be named (because for some reason it pisses people off around here ). So, would it have worked or is it like putting a square peg in a round hole?
  14. Yeah, I was right. We are the lowest ranked 2-0 team at 17. The Texans are 16. Annoying when you consider the texans victories are against the number 31 an 27 teams, while the bills beat nos. 22 and 12.
  15. I thought of that. I was focusing on the regular season and also that they are the dolphins and don't really count. No, no, no. Point: Cletus!
  16. ...and teams that win weeks 1-16 lose the Super Bowl 100% of the time.
  17. Thank you, LMSB. I live my life wading in a sea of emotions!
  18. If we go 3-0 for the the third time in seven years and we don't make it to the playoffs I'm going to fight somebody. ...I won't win, but I will fight them.
  19. Yolo, I hear you, but you know the League doesn't let any team do that so it is not even a possibility. Respectfully.
  20. Well, that was all sorts of awesome.
  21. I think there a lot of things going in the Bills favor this weekend. Additionally, one thing that may be overlooked is that EJ, in four home games at the Ralph is 3-1, completing 75 of 116 (64.6%) for 858 yards, with 6 TDs and 3 picks and passer rating of 93.2. Edit: Again, I reference "at the Ralph". I exclude the home game in Toronto. Additionally, the 2013 combined record of the four teams they played is 40-24. UPDATE: 4-1 at home, 91 OF 142 (64%) FOR 1,060, WITH 7 TDs and 3 picks and a "Ralph" passer rating of 94.2. He is 6-6 as a starter, 6-5 as a starter in games he has finished, and has won 4 straight.
  22. hmmm...I really wasn't complaining. I was sarcastic, but not really complaining. I just wanted a power ranking thread going as a quick reference and bleacher report was the only one I had time for this morning to post.
  23. Sorry if I missed someone starting a power ranking post earlier this week. If no one did, I'll start with bleacher reports. The good news: WE ARE ONLY THE SECOND LOWEST RATED 1-0 TEAM WITH A RANKING OF 23 (Houston is 27). Yeah! Edit: admin won't let me link to bleacher report so you have to take my word on it. Edit 2: if my hunch is correct...we will be THE lowest ranked 2-0 team.
