  1. LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT, NOW LONDON IS TRYING TO TAKE THE BILLS?!!!!!!!
  2. I remember that ...and dammit. Oh, and "Next Bill Up."
  3. Actually, the Buffalo,Germans from the East side YMCA won a gold medal as an exhibition sport in the 1904 Olympics. ...not to be picky.
  4. On second thought maybe they got a point. 6 of the Bills' last 8 opponents are 5-3 or better, with one of them being 6-2 and another 7-2 and we are playing them both on the road. Man, what happened to the "easy" next 4 weeks? 5-3, 5-3, 1-8, 5-3
  5. Crazy to think that if Denver beats New England this week and we beat KC and Miami that we will be alone in first place...at least for 3 days.
  6. I know, I know, I know...and I don't know why I do it. I just always end up doing it. I write s*** before I write p****d...yeah, screwy.
  7. Same page, my friend. Part of the e-mail, verbatim, to my buddy earlier in the week (forgive the poor grammar). "...Gents, two weeks from yesterday is the start of the most important 5 days for the Bills in almost a generation and half. If they can get ready and beat the Chiefs at home and some how go on the road 4 days later and beat Miami I believe those two victories would lay the ground work for a playoff shot. After Miami you have 10 days off to go beat the Jets at home and then hopefully beat the Browns at home, as well. If that happens what are you left with? Beat the Raiders on the road (Week 16) and truly have a legitimate shot at the playoffs…but if you add a victory at home against an above average GB team in week 15, then I believe they clinch a playoff spot and can rest guys in an almost meaningless game at the end of the season in New England." My only correction is that the game may not be meaningless for the division, but may be meaningless for making the playoffs.
  8. I agree complete, BC. As I have stated in some thread earlier this week that is why those are the most important five days in almost a generation and a half for this team...come out of there 7-3 and I think they are looking good. ohh, actually I mentioned in an e-mail to a friend of mine.
  9. Nicely thought out, ricojes! Yeah, at the time I thought the loss to Houston would hurt us and it looks more and more like that is the case each passing week. I don't think about the Patriots game because in retrospect we just weren't going to win that one. For our remaining games I see the increasing difficulty to win as follows: Jets Oakland Browns Miami KC Green Bay New England Denver I believe the Jets and Raiders are sure wins, Browns and KC likely wins, Miami and GB, shaky (yes, I know it is out of order, but it just the way I feel - sorry Big Cat - about a being a road team on a Thursday night game), and I just don't think we can win at all in Denver and New England. ...weird to think, though, if the Bills win all their home games and beat Oakland on the road they'll be 10-6.
  10. Additionally, BF4E, even if we go 10-6 I am not 100% confident of that record getting us in if we are just 6-6 in the conference.
  11. Big Cat always makes me feel warm and fuzzy about the Bills!
  12. Not mathematically, but practically...I think they have to run the table in the third quarter. I think if they're 9-3 before Denver a playoff spot is theirs as long as they can at least beat Oakland...although an additional win of GB at home would be nice, too.
  13. Yeah...but I wish that idiot would have picked us at least once. D2DGAS
  14. Wish i could make you feel better, ct, but I can't.
  15. http://www.nfl.com/n...ds-spawn-debate Battista, Brandt, Billick, Brooks, Schein, Dameshek, Harrison, Silver, Casserly...9 NFL.com/Network's talking heads make their predictions for the division championships and the wild cards in the AFC. I'll give you the long and the short of it: 2 locks for their div. - Colts and Patriots (fine). Then the nine pick their two wild card teams, essentially 18 potential votes...they pick 8 teams San Diego Cincinnati Pittsburgh Baltimore Kansas City Denver Houston Cleveland The six teams completely left out - Bills (5-3), Jets (1-7), Jags (1-7), Titans (2-6), Raiders (0-7), Phins (4-3; and the phins get Sand Diego this week before they hit mid-season) ...yeah, sorry, but I'm p****d. I don't need any sort of consensus, but just one would have been nice.
  16. In order those are the top six ranked qbs, using the traditional rating equation for qbs with more than 100 attempts. I know many hate using that equation over the qbr, but still it is great to see a Bills qb in such good company in rarified air. ...so much for the Bills' "panic move" with Orton (think it was an espn story in Sept.).
  17. Yeah, but after KC decided to put SD in their place, I am feeling less comfortable about that game, as well. Additionally, after this upcoming game and after the bye that four game stretch to make some noise and get some wins now looks like this to me: Week 10, KC (5-3) with games against the Jets and Rams; Week 11, Miami (5-4) Miami will beat the jags and get at least one win against either the chargers or the lions; Week 13, Cleveland (6-4 or 7-3) Regardless of their loss last week the Browns have Raiders, Bucs, Bengals and Falcons...and you don't know which Bengals team is going to show up.
  18. Well...they appear to know history.
  19. Exactly John. Additionally, man-o-man how many of you are like me in hoping that this offense finally breaks out with at least a 4 TD performance? I know, I know...they have injuries and the line stinks, but I just need that sort of offensive reassurance badly.
  20. 4-3 Losses to Chicago and Detroit and victories against SD and Houston. ...I know they were impressive victories, but if I had been correct those AFC victories would be so much more valuable to us right now. Big Cat, I gotta tell ya, I'm really not feeling good about going on the road for a Thursday game against the Dolphins. That is a tough one. Additionally, some current stats: Our 22nd ranked offense vs their 4th ranked defense and our 11th ranked defense vs their number 12 offense. ...on three days rest and traveling.
  21. Coastie, very well said. Thank you. Nailed it TFR. BTW, how many people had the one year removed Super Bowl Champion Ravens left for dead, especially after the Rice debacle? ...even after the first game?
  22. I agree with you both, completely.
  23. We have increased our passing yards per 88 yards per game in a passing league (from approximately 209 to 297) and we have done this in spite of our poor running game, not to its detriment. Yeah, I'm with you, I can live with this for the time being. ...I can also live with someone who has been steely-eyed on two game ending drives in just three weeks.
  24. Isn't he the "thirst mutilator"?
