Peyton Manning Injured; Returns to the Lineup
dollars 2 donuts replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you kidding me, man? We need the broncos to beat the chargers and bengals. Forget about the packers game as THIS development would all but assure us of missing the playoffs!! -
I screwed up with my whole thread and original post, but in my defense the nfl.com playoff predictor completely left out the bengals and had the chargers in the playoffs...us overtaking them was part of the basis for my thread. ...BUT WE STILL WON AND WE ARE STILL IN IT SO ALL IS GOOD WITH THE WORLD! So, to do some repair work here is the most likely beneficial outcome: We win both games; Bengals lose both games (broncos and steelers); San Diego loses tonight and at least one more (San Fran and kc); KC loses at least one more, preferably against the steelers. Edit: AND I DONT MIND GOING TO INDY FOR THE FIRST PLAYOFF GAME!!

Taking a look at likely, or rather reasonable, outcomes predicted at NFL.com, the most likely for us to still be in it leading up to the NE season finale is: 1). Obviously, we have to win our two games; and 2). San Diego goes to Denver and loses as predicted and then goes to San Fran...with San Fran pulling an upset which I think is reasonable. Given the other predictions hold (other than our loss to GB), the ravens and steelers would almost be locks in the 10-5 range, while the bills would be the only other 9-6 team (kc, texans and phins would all seem to be in the 8-7 or less range, as predicted). Still possible if chargers are 9-6, as long as kc loses at least one before finishing against chargers, with kc pulling an upset at home against the chargers...well, I mean for us to actually have the chance of getting in. I would be fairly satisfied with this season if the NE game mattered, the same way the Steelers game did 10 years ago. Thoughts on likelihood or comments, in general?

If I am understanding you correctly the ball never touches the ground through the kicker"s motion and floats in the air. If that is the case and it is placed between the rows (hands team, etc.) can't someone just run up and signal fair catch keeping our onside team momentarily at bay? That's why they bounce it first and not just raise it, because the receiving team can call a fair catch. If I interpreted the OP's post wrong, my apologies. EDIT: Seconds,Matt in KC...you beat me to it by seconds!

The "experts" take week 13 - Browns at Bills
dollars 2 donuts replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, lets be honestly here, the Phins are the real deal. They didn't look good when we beat them, but that was one week after they handed to the Pats. I'd imagine, as well, that Broncos fans are pretty darn relieved to leave last Sunday's game with a W. BTW, if we beat the Browns it is crazy to think that everyone of the Broncos home games so far this year have been against teams with a winning record. -

Maybe it's because they've had the difficult task of playing the NFC South this year? -
Game should have been played in Pittsburgh. AFC city, closer rust belt affiliation and fans would not have to cross the border to get there. edit: how many potential bills fans, do you suspect, are there in Erie, northern pen., or south towns ny, as opposed to northwest ohio or michigan? I mean I want to get the game in, but I would like some even remote semblance of a home game.

Bills looking at options after snowstorm Slams region
dollars 2 donuts replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Crazy...C-R-A-Z-Y to think that the official snow totals for Jan 28 - Feb 1 1977 were...12 inches. For those of you who didn't live through it, trust us...there was just so much dang snow, wind and cold! -

1975 called, they want their reference to covered stadium facilities back. Besides that, i am in full agreement with a retractable roof. -
I honestly believe that even they didn't start until Friday night, they would still have it done by Saturday night. In the past they've been able to blanket (no pun intended) that stadium with labor to clear it.
-
Yeah, just on Toronto radio. How ridiculous when they can just move the time of the game from Sunday to Monday, if need be. Any of the problems on why they'd delay the game are not resolved by moving it to Toronto. The snow would be in check from Friday on. Right now it is just getting the players in for practice. Dumb. Dumb radio station.

10 guarantees it. 9 says you are safe for now, but don't misunderstand things...if something better comes up, bye. If they finish 8-8 I would fire them. I have not been back to TSW since the weekend as I was so disgusted by Sunday's loss by a team that doesn't treat the redzone with any sense of urgency and lets victories walk out the door like a teenager going out for the evening. No, I'd be pissed if I were T-Pegs and i would fire them at 8-8. -
Then we are back in the driver's seat as we would leapfrog KC for their current wc spot. http://www.nfl.com/playoffs/playoff-picture Right now our win against Miami in week 2 is huge as it is the only thing that is keeping us ahead of them. As we've all been talking about these next two games are so very important and really would help solidify controllable playoff positioning. ...but still I wouldn't mind going 8-0. Edit: frustratingly competitive in the AFC playoff picture that the "In the hunt" 4th seed is 5-4 while the corresponding position in the NFC is 3-5-1.
-
BTW, not for nothing, but the League would essentially have to approach the Ravens on this and sure, they have a couple of rivalries in the North, but we are talking about the city here and you better believe that they have something with Boston and New York, as well. Throw in Miami just as a perk (road trips for fans and org at least once a year) and that would be hard for the Ravens to pass up.

The London Series and the European Expansion

eh, avez-vous "Chicken Wings"? CHICKEN-WINGS?! ...well, the hell with that. I am not even going to ask this beret wearing bozo whether they have Beef on Wick. -
Man, since the end of the last century I've wanted the Bills to switch with the Ravens and play in the North. Our furthest opponent in the dvision (Cincy, 6:15h) is still closer than our closest in this division (what is it, NE at about 7-8). The regional rivalries would be great and quite frankly, I really don't need to be in a division where everyone generally wants to play and work for the other teams in our division. Ohhhh, New York...mmmm Boston...ahhh Miami. Case in point, regardless of what some may think of Parcells he was a great coach and at some time or another had a roll with NE, the jets and the Dolphins.

Nuch, because quite simply it's a "thing", ya know. Not a great answer, i know, but that's all I got! -

The shame of it is, Gunner, that J-Ville game every few years always seemed like a home-away-from-home game for the Bills. ...was a wash of blue. EDIT: On a side note, we've played outside the country, what - 5 out of the last seven regular seasons? Many may think this is neat, but I think it is taxing on the team. I would have been fine with a pass on this.
