  1. I am confused by some of the comments here. Is anyone really hoping that if this kid truly didn't do it that there is enough circumstantial evidence to at least leave him on the hook for a while for the murder of his girlfriend in the hopes he drops and we take him because of it? If, as it seemingly appears for the time being, he had nothing to do with it then I hope he gets drafted appropriately given his talent. It is one thing when we can profit due to teams being worried about an injury and another thing as a result of actual legal violations of which an individual is working on changing and improving themselves (Henderson). ...but this is murder and it is a little sick that some are hoping that the unfounded stench of guilt sticks like spaghetti on a wall, at least for a little while.
  2. With no franchise QB he was still critical in at least two wins (Lions and Vikings). At times, he was ignored in games where he could have made a difference (home against New England). Without him the Bills don't have the first winning season in a decade. He makes a difference. He makes them better; and hopefully even more so this season.
  3. Please somebody tell what is more insulting: The complete disrespect for one of the top four defenses in the League (now, with a revamped offense on the other side) or the indication that apparently the ONLY determining factor of whether the Bills beat you appears to be the weather, and not the talent? Were the Dolphins lucky to get us in that most horrible of weather conditions month in Orchard Park last year known as September?
  4. I wanted to put a Kikoism here, but it just...seems too late.
  5. Post of The Day, Dork, so far in my opinion.
  6. Man, Utah John should be struttin' like a peacock right about now.
  7. This is ridiculous, BF4E, it's not like Cleveland has an extra first round draft pick to tr...oh...OK.
  8. Agreed and that would be nice. If EJ were just OK, not great, but not horrible either, I could live with that for this year...if he ends up being the starter, that is. Plus, it gives him more experience under his belt. However, even if we sneak into the playoffs with him as an OK starter I have no qualms about going after his replacement. It should be a good year for this team...even better if we had a top 12 QB, but if you believe what the OP stated then we have limited options.
  9. Not to speak for the OP, but I don't think he was suggesting coasting, just that from what we've seen so far out there he is probably our most likely and best starter fromt hose options come openning day.
  10. I know this sounds a little crazy, but I am not sure that is the best move FOR Frank Gore, but maybe a good move the Colts. Meaning I personally think Frank Gore is great and would be a tremendous asset on a running team, but that is not the colts, even though they are a good team in this league. I think they could be 12-4 and back in the SB hunt, but Gore won't go for a 1,000 yards.
  11. Your Top Secret reference has not gone unnoticed, my friend. "This is NOT Mel Torme!"
  12. I think it would be great to get Searcy at about 4.5 a year...too bad that isn't going to happen. Dareus is the leader in sacks on the interior line since he came into the league. So if the colts had the stones to ask us about a trade for him then we should have had the bigger stones to ask them about Luck. I mean I know it doesn't hurt to ask, but why in the world would someone think we would deal maybe the best interior dlinemen in the league? In a way, it pisses me off a bit. They might as well have said on the phone, "hey, you guys are desperate and stupid, let's talk Dareus so you can take a shot at the middle first."
  13. Dareus will never see the light of day. When the time comes the Bills will make him the highest paid Defensive Lineman in football. Period. That is why they really do have to be mindful of their other contracts. BTW, and on a tangent, am I the only one that thinks someone is going to come out of the wood work and give Searcy a ridiculous amount of money?
  14. As a Bills fan I was happy. As the Packers are my second favorite team I was still happy, but didn't really think until later about the ramifications that game had on the NFC Championship and where it was played. ...still mad at McCarthy for what happened in the last few minutes against the Seahawks. My wife and I watched together starting from the last few minutes (Green Bay's going to the Super Bowl!) to the touchdown pass in overtime upon which I turned to her and asked, "Is it just the teams that I root for? Should I stop rooting so others can be happy?"
  15. How do we know that you don't? ...had to...had to.
  16. Not every year, though, do we have a team with a winning record and a top 5 ranked defense, let alone top 5 ranked anything. I will say this, it was really difficult stomaching losses to every other team in the AFC that was in our 8-8, 9-7 wheel house...so I get that.
  17. I need a serious explanaion from someone on how a 6-10 team in one ofr the worst divisions in the history of the League, coming off back-to-back double digit losing seasons, is higher ranked than the Bills. I know QBs are important in this League, but damn.
  18. Thread could have been closed after this.
  19. ...and technically they will be playing the last team to beat them in 2014.
  20. He was also their head coach briefly during Elway. I think Elway threw him under the bus a little and he got fired after a year when Elway was hurt. I think he went 9-7 then 7-9. Sorry if wrong, going by memory.
  21. and you know, bufboy, that if they can't prove it then, sure as shinola, SOMEBODY BETTER START APOLOGIZING TO THE PATS!!!!
  22. That's how he got the interview in the first place. Sexton represents both guys.
  23. Sorry for a separate topic for this, but I'm telling you I have come to have a great deal of respect for him and he obviously is a future Hall of Famer. However, I can't have that guy's career end without at least sweeping him once in the next one, two or how many ever years he has left. 3-3 over the next three years? Not going to cut it. I am not sure he has been swept, or gone 0-2 against any team during the season in his career. That's the legacy the Bills could give me against Brady, other than being 3-24* against him (don't ask, you know what it is for). Man, just once I need Brady to leave an NFL season, regardless of the Pats' own success, with the thought on his mind of: "The Bills...there was just no beatin'em this year...(sigh)." Rex, Buddy...Please.
