a 30 year old Jim Kelly in 2016 is getting no less than 5 years, 100 million, with 50 million guaranteed. ...no less.

Tyler Eifert was a nice pick-up for the Bengals. -
This is the bonus of having fairly wealthy owners.

Dallas Offered Us Their 2nd and 3rd for #19

I threw-up a little reading that. Nah, just kidding...I threw-up a lot. -
Well said, Mark. We've been beaten down and disappointed, by the outside and ourselves, that it is difficult to remember being optimistic. Gone are the days (if you remember them at all) when we would say with confidence, "other teams rebuild, we reload".

This. Jags were "terrified" they weren't going to get their receiver. I have always been comfortable with blaming the Jags. I respectfully disagree, to a degree, with those who say he wouldn't have been the Big Ben we know now. He may not have been as successful, but he would still be our same qb today after 12 years and we would have made the playoffs at least once or twice.

A nice haul by the Browns. They stay in the top 10 this year and should have 2 picks in the top 15 next year.

That is going to make our deal with Philly so sweet for that number 2!!!

Bills considering trading up to #2 pick
dollars 2 donuts replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I was confused on why no one was posting about this a few days ago as this goes back to the 13th. I just assumed it was too out there for the TSW so I didn't post anything. Some speculative deets: http://www.netonenews.com/2016/04/13/bills-broncos-browns-brokering-blockbuster-trade/ We send our 2016 first and second as well as our 2017 third in exchange for Denver's 2016 first (31) and a player to be named later all to the Browns for their number 2 overall pick and the Broncos get Tyrod. -

Jets LT D'Brickashaw Ferguson retiring
dollars 2 donuts replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hell, Bloke, I don't even care if they help the Jets. Whaley: "Hey Jets I know you love that tackle, but the Steelers are offering us a great deal to move up to 19. Whadda guys wanna do?" -
If they would have had it this year the Jets (10-6) and Falcons (8-8) get in. I'm fine with that. The team with the best record in each conference gets a bye and everyone else plays wild card weekend (2 v 7, 3 v 6, 4 v 5). No problem with this and it seems like an easy decision. I am tired of the "talking" about this as we've known the base proposal for awhile and I don't know how much more talking is necessary. Is the NFL super upset over having 12:30, 4:30 and 8:30 games on Saturday and Sunday of WCWE?

I hear us on that, so loud and clear, all!

Some of the best times my father and I had together before he passed away in 2008 were at Bills games. ...thank you, Ralph.

Sorry if some are offended by the above, but it is just simply a great point. Well said, Acantha. Tangential question though: if they build a stadium that is less suited for tailgating will that help or hurt the drunken state of same fans at the stadium? In other words, will they drink like fish while they are there, or just as bad, will the drive to the stadium drunk?

Best to the both of you, Metz and John. Believe me I have had a little experience with respect to health setbacks and I am amazed how some of you with serious ailments work so hard to get yourself healthy. It is tough. Back to the OT, great if we could get him in the second and we do need an upgrade from Mills and Sentreal...because I am thinking this team badly needs a LB with a decisive and impressive skill set.
-
I'm honestly asking because I don't know and I know many of you are clued in on the prospects. I am of the belief we really do need a quality starting RT in this draft, but if we can wait until the second round I know we have pressing needs at other positions that could be addressed in the first (WR, LB). What am I hoping for? Cordy Glenn 2.0 in Round 2. (Man-o-man can you imagine if we had taken Jonathon martin?). Thank you in advance for your responses.

Ya know what Bart I've changed my mine...I am freakin' with you on this. The cut and paste from the article virtually said what I told to a buddy this morning and it is ridiculous. In short: Build a great new palace, not because you need a great new palace, but because it is a tremendous excuse to charge the s*** out of your customers. NFL: "Hey, come on now, we're all doing it. Sure the Packers didn't have to really do it, but they did something." *starts to whistle and stare at their feet ignoring the 135 million spent on the Ralph last year*

Great...can my BIlls news get any worse this off season? Bill, please consider letting us get you a dictaphone for notes and some software so that you can just read your comments into the thread.

Bills restructure Kyle Williams

So much for those of you who said restructuring him was pointless. -
Report: Fitzy to hit the market
dollars 2 donuts replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Man, just forget about being a Bills fan right now...can you imagine if the 4th quarter of the Jets game happens differently and he finishes the season (regardless of playoffs) with the Jets at 11-5, with 31 TDs and 12 picks? Yes, it didn't happen that way, but I seriously think he gets exactly what he's asking for if he did. My point? The guy was....that...close...to having it his way for the remainder of his career, even if he was a bust from here on out. If he could have gotten 15-20 million guaranteed, the guy guarantees himself at least a 60 million dollar career...an extremely middling one. -

Just like I said...$6-$8 million! EDIT: John Elway - "Don't get me wrong, Fitzy, you've had a SWEEET career and all, but after the last 10 years how'd you like to hoist the Lombardi trophy above your head?"
