There are so many stories we hear that end up being so sad, when all is said and done, with people not allowing themselves the chance to walk back from the abyss and we are left only with the sentiment of "what a shame, what a loss." ...I really like that we never had to express those sentiments for this young man...that he found himself. Good for you, dude. Good for you.

OK, I'm not kidding...i got a little excited when I saw this thread. As a young boy I was an Ottawa Rough Riders fan. I know the the RRs are gone, but the RBs will still get my support. -
I'll say this for Fitzy

Wayne, I am just getting back to this Thread. Good on the Romo. You were the first person to respond and the thread probably should have ended there, although I am still impressed by Fitzy's staying power. -
Save for Kurt Warner, he has made more money ($54 million, including the Tampa Bay one year deal) than any QB in NFL history drafted later than him (250th, 7th round), or undrafted. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/tampa-bay-buccaneers/ryan-fitzpatrick-1336/cash-earnings/

The number 31 was not distributed for a number of years as a result of the above. When they stopped using it as their anonymous check player is when they started giving it to players.
-
Sorry, Tuco, that is incorrect.

Ahmad Rashad For a great number of years what jersey number did the bills not issue, but was never retired. Hint: it is not #32. Hint 2: I believe it was used for a number of years on the jersey of an anonymous player on team checks or letterhead.

Is the AFC East the NFL's Worst Division?
dollars 2 donuts replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can you imagine if the AFC East had Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady in it for the last 6-7 years? I am not even saying if Rodgers was a Bill, just if he were in the division. -

Zero1 helmet making debut in NFL for 25 teams

Great post, ocemur. However, the one thing I disagree with is that you say there are several ways to reduce the problem, but take out trying to police the game. I think they should keep that up and I Do believe that they can change the game, tackling wise, without radically changing the game. It's just that they are not even trying. Full body or wrap up tackles would change things immensely, as well as the removal of the "pop" hit tackles on both passing and running plays. For example, on sideline running plays you either tackle th guy or push him out of bounds. You're unable to? Too bad. A guy caught a great looking pass over the middle because I couldn't "pop" him. Too bad. I truly believe you can still have good football and save these guys' lives and careers at the same time. -

Alpha, I think I am going to take you at your word for that, because I know a couple of you were all over this guy for second round. Great pick. -
Florida DT prospect Caleb Brantley had one job...

Do i have to tell you? A point well taken. However, I also didn't have a millions riding on how my image was going to be portrayed public for work. -

To this day, with all the examples, I just don't know how the above is not ingrained in their minds. -
Obviously, we don't know if it is going to happen and even if we did know we are just not sure of who it would be with. Granted, I love the idea of dropping down and getting "3 out of the top 50 or so guys in the draft" by dropping down. However, more and more I am thinking I would be OK with more picks and that if it helps us get a deal done there doesn't have to be a 2nd rounder in the mix. We might find more teams willing to dance with us. Oh, don't get me wrong, it is not like I am going to move down for 3 - 5s, but still, I could live with a 3 and a 4 combination (or more) if it calls for it. I know there is no love lost between the TSW and Whaley, but personally I feel fairly confident in this staff with respect to the draft, and 6 picks in the first 120 picks, with 2-3 potential starters is acceptable to me. Your thoughts? Accompanying, please find Walters' draft value chart for a reference: http://walterfootball.com/draftchart.php

Aaron Hernandez commits suicide
dollars 2 donuts replied to zevo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very well said, GB. Man-o-man, it just never. had. to be like this. -
Still, though, Mark, I would have liked to have seen that. I wish the Bills made a bigger deal out of it. Good to hear, Logic. I'll sometimes check in on twitch to see if someone's playing with the Bills and it is usually few and far between. As far as the sped thing, that is what made Parrish such a valuable assist in that third receiver spot on mediocre Bills teams in Madden. He was very fast. I fortunately in an online league I lost him in the second game of the season.

I don't buy the Bills aren't possibly moving
dollars 2 donuts replied to KellyToughII's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great points and honestly I agree. However, and along with the matters as stated above please let us not leave out our fresh water and hydroelectric power, which other areas don't have, but seemingly it's every other part of the State's (and other States) entitlement to enjoy. Please, please anyone around here feel free to correct me if I am wrong as I may just have a bad memory on something. That said, I thought there was a bill on the ballot a couple of decades ago proposing a water pipeline be built down to the Southern States and that we would pay for part of it. Our compensation? I am not even sure it was mentioned in the Bill or the lead up to it...I just know we weren't involved. I was amazed at the Bill and voted "No" on it...I was more amazed that it almost passed. -

Greatest. Post. Today. Well done, PTR. Well done indeed. -
Regardless of whatever moves we make, or who we draft, I can tell you this: we will have no better than a 78 overall rating in Madden 18. I believe we have been in the 80s only twice the last almost 20 years. Side note, are the Bills planning a club tournament of Madden anytime soon to designate a Bills Madden player like other teams have done? I have been watching Madden on ESPN since late in the Fall, and I am curious.

Funny thing is, I could see the Bills going 6-10, but Taylor having a better season than he did in 2016 (more TDs, more yards, more yards per attempt and higher rating).
