dollars 2 donuts replied to Jasovon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's simple: first name "Dilly", middle name "Dilly". -
I can't believe that I may be the first to say this, but here goes anyways: the Bills are in the playoffs...dilly-dilly.

Yeah, see my above post. Crazy, that the Jets were 10-4 and almost took themselves right out of the playoffs. -

Respectfully, if memory serves me I do not believe '04 was "win and your in." It became that as everything we needed to happen fell into place and an opportunity against Pittsburgh back-ups was missed. I thought we need (at least) the Jets to lose, and they did. I just don't remember it being win and your in. EDIT: Yeah, we would have beat the Jets in a tie-breaker. The Jets were 10-4 and then they lost their last two games, the last one in OT. -
[Vague Title]Take this for what it's worth.

I will say this, I am honestly thinking for the first real time that if they absolutely love one of the top guys that I would be OK with them parting with three first round draft picks to get him. Will it set us back at other positions? Definitely. We need this though, you guys...oh, we need this so badly. EDIT: 4-12 (1986) and 7-8 (1987) Jim Kelly were so much more exciting and meaningful than the last decade or so. I know we had better foundation then, but still. -
"Hope" is a great name for this Bills board. Welcome, young friend. New blood helps keep the veins of TSW strong.

Belichick sabotaging Pats future?

Hindsight being ridiculously 20/20 and considering the internal rift, any chance New England would have taken our earlier number 1 (give them the option) for Jimmy? -

My my first true laugh of the day. Thank you, J Dubs. Thank you. -
Tangent here... Man, how much I would love to read on Christmas morning (after having watched it on Christmas Eve): "No Shady for Pats as LeSean lights up New England for 160 yards on the ground and 105 through the air, with 4TDs setting a personal record in a Buffalo uniform." Incognito put it best, "I mean it was ridiculous. We barely had to hold our blocks and he was gone. As far as the ten receptions go, what can I say? They knew he was going to get them and they still just couldn't cover him. Lee should have known better. We needed every one of those first downs and I will never forget the over the shoulder TD grab as long as I live."
-
Thurm, I am not going to jump on anyone for thinking that way. i get it, brother, I do. I was in tank mode at 6-6. However, I just plain need this 122nd out of 122 teams in North American Professional sports to make the playoffs thing to end. ...oh wait, I mean 123rd as Las Vegas looks like they will make the playoffs in their first year in hockey.

So if we end up 9-7 and lose a tie-breaker...

scares the hell out of me that I have actually thought about this...not with respect to your dog, but the final two games...your dog would just help me escape this turmoil. -
No, but let me check again...oh yeah...it's what are the three best road games by Tyrod Taylor. Not everything is a fight, dude. Not every comment or thread is an invitation to confrontation and going aggro for the purposes of mixing it up. See, the thing is, I can explain it to you, but I can't comprehend it for you...that's on your end. If you're reading it as a purpose or reason to take it as an a front to something...man, then, OK...that's your call. I just know my OT doesn't have any baiting in it. I think those are his three best road games. Some may even mention the Tennessee game...very few yards, but he made some nice plays in pulling out a victory. ...we will need a very good Tyrod...regardless of his future here and regardless of anyone's current feelings on the man...if there is any hope of winning this weekend. I want the Bills to win this weekend, however unlikely that may be. My OT had three games where I thought he played well on the road. They show respectable yardage (277, 289, 291), TDs (3, twice through the air) and make affirmative comments ("ALL man", "loss...so what?" and "need yards and TDs in Foxborro"...like in the listed game).
-
Yeah, I kind of missed the part in my post where I said he is the QB of the future and we should rally behind him as he is the best option right now over Peterman, Webb, EJ, Yates, etc. because that part of the scenario is currently up in the air right now. I'll check again, though, just to be sure. ...yep, I didn't. I just went over it and it appears I just said what I thought were his three best games on the road as some inspiration ("possibly") heading into the weekend because regardless of the internet he is the starter for the Bills. Mainly this thread is also based upon the fact that Mr. Peabody and the Way Back Machine aren't around so that I could go and get a 32 year old Jim Kelly to play on Sunday or else this would be super easy...so...I mean...it's Tyrod on Sunday...on the road.

In honor of what we have facing us as Bills fans this week in New England, and what we have to overcome, what are the three best road games Tyrod Taylor has played to possibly give us some inspiration? In no particular order: @ KC, 11-29-15, L: yes, a loss but he threw for 291 (21-38) yards and had three TDs...we are going to need yards and TDs in Foxborro this weekend. @ Mia, 9-27-15, W: 21 of 29, for 277 yards and 3 tds...need I say more? @Seattle, 11-7-16, L: yeah, another loss...so what? He was ALL man in that game, 27-38 for 289, 1 TD, 1 pick, with 8 carries for 43 yards and 1 TD. There are other road games of note, even with less impressive stat lines than the above that I will leave to you guys to bring up.

Just FYI, all of you who said the Bengals are getting ridiculously easy up votes from me, whether your comments are good or not...but they've generally all been pretty good. Merry Christmas or "Happy Holidays" if you hate Christmas.
